Award events lost their charm long ago. It's not a new thing.The level of politics played in those events is beyond sanity for a long time now. But thankfully entertainment industry is getting away from the stance of award events and award culture. Other than national awards, all other awards don't carry any weight now a days because of lack of fairness. In today's world, awards are deemed as trophies only, not recognition of talent, hardwork, dedication etc in general and award events are deemed as the money making machine.

Last year hai jitna chahe award ho sake le lo jaise bhi Karke. Jab Yhm ki dukaan bandh ho jaye g toh jitna bhi paintra ajmao lekin kuch nahi hoga.
