Part 4

She wakes up as the sun rays falls on her eyes telling her its morning... She gets up only to recognize her new yet old surroundings... She sees her on the bed making her wonder how she is here... She sees the whole room only to find it empty.. She was about to wonder where he was when she hears the noise from the bathroom making her realise he is inside

She was about to go when she hears a sweet voice coming towards her only to fill her heart with unknown peace

"Mumma" there came her daughter with her little foot steps and a large teddy of almost her size which she was dragging with her

"Mera Bacha itna jaldi uth gaya " she says as she lifts her and her teddy up and makes her sit on her lap to which ruhi nods

"Aisa kyun"

"Daadi ketti hain...jaldi uthna chahiye"

"Hooo...toh ruh daadi ki good girl hain" to which she nods giggling

"Mujhe nahi patah tha mera bacha itni jaldi uth jata hain..." She tickles Ruhi making her laugh

" Toh ruh ne breakfast karliya hain"

"Nahi "she says while shaking her head in negative

"Nahi?? Aisa kyun?"

"Mein aul papa saath khaate hain...lekin aaj papa late uthe " she says pouting

"Luhi ko bhookh lagi hain" she says pointing her tummy...

"Haww Ruhi ko bhookh lagi hain?" They hear him say..."toh chalo rooh aur papa saath milke khaana kayenge" he lifts her up

"Mumma bhi chahiye " this was the first time he was hearing his daughter call her mumma... It felt so peaceful to hear it on the other hand ishita for the first time felt awkward with ruhi calling her mumma infront of him... Both the father daughter duo were looking at her to get an answer

"Haan mein bhi aaoungi... Lekin pehle aap jao, mein aajaungi peeche peeche " she says while tickling ruhi to which ruhi fits into laughter

And both the father daughter duo leave... Ishita takes a sigh and sits on the bed mentally preparing herself to be in his presence under the same roof

He sees her coming down wearing a baby pink Churidhar letting her hair free as always.. With minimal makeup...Her neck adorning mangalsutra which was partly covered by her dupatta and her ears with jhumkas..her hands were adorned with chooda and the mehendi from marriage ceremony...

Raman was dumb struck would be an understatement... How much he waited to see her as the newly bride...as his newly bride.. And finally she was here... The only thing missing was her smile and the spark in her eyes

"Bahut soni lag rahi hain puttar" toshi removes little kohl from her eyes and keeps it on ishita to which ishita responds with a smile

"Aakhir tayyar kisne kiya hain" there comes a voice from behind "teri bahu toh tayyar hone se inkaar kar rahi thi...jabardasti karna pada yeh sab" says simmi.. Raman's only sister

"Bas ek cheez ki Kami hain...bhai tu idar ah" she pulls Raman towards them and handovers him sindoor "iski "..."yeh tu lagata toh zyaada acha lagta" and asks him to apply sindoor on her forehead

"Simmi iski kya zaroorat hain mein laga lungi na" but she was cut by toshi asking Raman to apply it

"Lagao na papa" ruhi joins the team

And finally after a lot of forces he agrees

He takes a pinch of Sindoor in his hands and applies it on her forehead... She closes her eyes feeling the vermilion on her forehead lots of memories flooding in her mind

"Kya kar raha hain?" She asks smiling as she goes back

"Kya kar raha hoon matlab.. arey tera mangalsutra ko bhi kiss de raha hoon"

"Koyi zaroorat nahi hain...besharam" she beats him on his shoulder trying hard to cover her blush

"Arey sindoor ko kiss kiya toh kuch nahi kaha...mangalsutra ko kar raha hoon toh besharam?..yeh nayinsafi hain yaar..."

"Koyi nayinsafi nahi hain...dhoor hat " she pushes him slightly

"Arey sindoor ko kiss kiya aur mangalsutra ko nahi karunga toh usse bura lag jayega na" he says coming close

"Oh really agar aisa hain toh karlo" she takes mangalsutra towards him holding it with her hands "yeh lo" she shows it to him while he makes faces

"Nahi karni" he turns his face making her fit into laughter

Everyone clap breaking her trance..and everyone sits to have breakfast

"Bahut achi lag rahi hain puttar...aaj pehla din hain toh mujhe lagah ki tu tera favourite blue pehnegi "says bhalla ji praising ishita

Both Raman and ishita look at each other after listening this

"Arey papa.. Mein toh abhi bhi heiran hoon...iske paas ek bhi blue colour ka kapda nahi hain... Tab toh iska aadha cupboard blue se bara hota tha"says simmi looking at ishita and Bhalla ji

"Kya hain na simmi waqt ke saath saath insaan aur unki choice dono badal jaate hain...kal jisse pyaar karein usse aaj nafrat hojata hain aur dheere dheere uske rehne ya na rehne se koyi faraq nahi padta" she says looking at Raman who was also looking at her with disappointment in his eyes when she just turn her eyes towards simmi" aur waise bhi simmi 'aaj kal log rishte ko badal dete hain toh colour kya cheez hain" she says wiping a lone tear from the corner of her eye to which simmi keeps silent understanding it was directed to his brother... Everyone knows something went wrong between Raman and ishita but no one knew what it was except toshi and Madhu

"Maa waise mihir kahan pe hain? Kahin dikhayi nahi diya" ishita asks trying to break the silence

"Woh toh pichle ek mahine se mumbai mein hain... Kuch office ke kaam pe, woh tumhare shaadi mein bhi aana chahta tha lekin nahi ho paya" to which ishita smiles faintly

"Waise puttar aaj tera pehla din hain shaadi ke baad toh humein kuch meetha weetha nahi milega??" Says Bhalla ji

"Haan aaj to tera pehli rasoyi bhi hain" comes in simmi

ishita looks at toshi with questioning eyes and simmi adds seeing her " maa aap ne isse bataya nahi?" to which toshi says that as she was exhausted with yesterday's events so she didn't want to give her work

"Mein manage karlungi maa...itne dino ke baad papa ne kuch pucha mujhse" Ishita says smiling faintly and goes to kitchen saying this... After about 15 min she comes back getting a bowl full of halwa and serves it to Bhalla ji and toshi

"Kya baat hain puttar... Tu ne khaana banana bhi seekhliya." He eats it saying its so tasty to which she gives a smile in reply

"Daadu...mujhe...mujhe "ruhi asks in excitement when Bhalla ji refuses to give

"Kya hua papa...aap mana kyun kar rahe hain...achi Nahi bani kya??"

"Aisa nahi hain puttar.. Bahut achi bani hain"

"Papa mein aapko ache se jaanti hoon..achi Nahi bani na?" And she tastes it and slaps her forehead "i am so sorry papa...patah Nahi kya soch rahi thi banate waqt...cheeni ke badle namak daldi...i m so sorry " she says with tears in her eyes

"Puttar tujhe yaad hain tab tu,mein,tere appa, Raman aur mihir milke Sundays mein khaana banate teh jo koyi nahi khaata tha aur hum jabarsasti sab ko kila dete teh "he says standing up and placing his hand on her head caressing her hair to which ishu smiles going to back to memory lane "tere jaane ke baad woh sab katam hogaya tha aur aaj jab tune yeh banayi toh mujhe meri puraani wali Pagal beti ki yaad aagayi thi " he smiles and continues"aur ab dekho isse " he says pointing ishu "kitna badi hogayi hain khaana bana rahi hain woh bhi bina cooking book ya internet ke..tu hi bata isse jyaada ek baap ko kya chahiye?" And he side hugs her with her head on his chest "bahut badi hogayi hain meri beti..tujhe patah hain mein ne tujhe kitna miss kiya inn 6 saalon mein...tu saal mein ek baar aati thi aur 1 din ke baad wapas Australia chali jaati thi...iss papa ke paas ek ghante bhi nahi rehti thi...tujhe iss papa ki yaad nahi aati thi?" he asks with tears in his eyes

"Aathi thi na...bahut jyaada...lekin agar yahan pe rehti toh wapas nahi jaa paati issliye chale jaati thi...i missed you so much papa"she tightens the hug with tears flowing from her eyes... Their moment was broken by ruhi who couldn't understand what was happening

"Daadu, ishimaa...aap kyun ro rahe ho?" She asks coming near them to which ishita rubs off her tears and wipes Bhalla ji's even and takes ruhi in her arms

"Koyi nahi roraha bacha...bas aankon mein kuch chala gaya tha...chalo breakfast karte hain" she makes ruhi sit and asks Bhalla ji to sit and they have their breakfast

Raman was about to go to office when toshi ji stops him stating he is newly wed and has to spend some time with ishita whereas ishita moves to ruhi's room and escapes being with Raman in the same room

At afternoon she goes to her amma's house to meet them.. She goes there and meets everyone

"I am sorry Amma, mujhe aapse kal aisa baat nahi karni thi"

"Sorry mat bol kanna...teri koyi galti nahi thi koyi bhi hota toh aise hi react karta balki galti toh hamari thi"

"Nahin Amma aapko todi na pata tha ki mere aur Raman ke beech mein Kya Hua tha...par amma aapko ek baar bata deni chahiye thi ki ruhi Shagun aur Raman ki beti hain "to which amma keeps silence as ishita doesn't know that her amma know everything that happened between Raman and ishita

"Bacha humein lagah tu yeh jaanke shaadi se mana kardegi..."comes in her father...", Humein nahi patah ki Raman aur tere beech mein kya hogaya ki tum dono ek doosre se baat hi nahi karte...beta tum shaadi karne se hi inkaar kar rahi thi aur jab tumne ek choti bachi ki papa se shaadi karna chahti thi toh I was not ready to say yes par jab humein patah chala ki woh bachi ruhi thi toh I was more than happy...kyun ki mujhe patah tha ki Raman ke saath tu khush rahegi... mujhe yakeen tha ki woh tumhari zindagi mein khushiyan lauta dega aur mein iss umeed ko khona nahi chahta tha" he says caressing her hair and kissing her forehead "tere shaadi ko ek mauka de beta...mere liye" to which ishita doesn't reply anything... She excuses herself to meet mihika and goes inside

At night

Raman moves into his room when he sees ruhi and ishita sleeping on the bed peacefully.. His lips curves into a smile looking at the mother daughter duo... How things has changed in these 5 months... ishita coming back to India from Australia... Both ruhi and ishu loving each other as their own... Ishita agreeing to marry ruhi's father and finally their marriage... Lots of things changed... Slowly his thoughts drifted to ishita's words

aaj kal log rishte ko badal dete hain toh colour kya cheez hain"

And evening's incident comes to his mind

"Haan" he picks her up

"Papa chalo..aap mein ishimaa khelenge "

"Ishimaa??"

"Haan...ishu mumma ka ishimaa"

Raman laughs at this " yeh aapne khud banaya hain?" He asks tickling her

She gets down giggling" nahi ishimaa ne..."

"Ishita ne??"he asks confused

"Haan ishimaa ne kaha...shagun mumma...mumma hain aur ishimaa ishimaa hain" his smile fades listening this..."aap chalo na papa "she tries to drag Raman away

"Ruh...aap jao papa ko kuch kaam hain...hum nap khelenge "

",pakka?"

"Haan pakka" he says kissing her cheeks and ruhi runs into her room saying okay

He comes out of his thoughts when he sees her mother who has just come

"Kya kar rahi ho maa?" He asks as he sees his mother taking ruhi

"Shhh dheere bol... Dono uth jaayenge" she says as she picks sleeping ruhi in her arms

"Ruhi ko kaha leja rahi ho?"he asks lowering his tone

"Aaj se ruhi...humare saath soyegi..."

"Aapke saath?? Aisa kyun?.. Yeh humesha mera saath hi toh soti hain"

" Haan lekin aaj se nahi...teri nayi nayi shaadi huyi hain...tum donon ko akele mein time spend karna chahiye"

"Maa please...ruhi ko rehne dijiye..sab kuch awkward hojayega "

"Chup kar... Kuch nahi hoga... mein jaa rahi hoon ruhi ko leke" she goes taking ruhi away before he can say anything

He changes into his night wear and sleeps on the other side of the bed staring her...

He caress her hair trying to make her frown disappear... thoughts never leaving his mind slowly drifting into sleep...

She wakes up as the sun rays peeps into the room... She tries to hold ruhi only to find the place empty... She gets up only to see no-one beside her.. She gets off from the bed when she sees Raman coming inside

"Ruhi kahan pe hain?" He hears her as he came in

"Woh so rahi hain.. Maa ke paas"

"Maa ke paas?? Lekin woh toh raat mein mere saath..." She was about to continue when he interrupts

"Haan woh maa usse lekar gayi thi...woh hamaari abhi abhi shaadi huyi hain toh maa..." He was cut

"Stop it Raman...mein already keh chuki hoon..iss shaadi ka koyi matlab nahi hain... Toh ruhi ko yahan se leke jaane ka koyi matlab nahi banta... "

"I know ishita par..."

"Agar jaante ho toh ruhi ko maa ke saath kyun beja "

"Listen ishu...mein ne nahi" he was again cut

"Ishita..mera naam ishita hain."

" okay!!...ishita mein ne maa ko..." He was again cut

"Dekho Mr. Raman Kumar Bhalla mein ne tumhe already bataya tha ki mein ne yeh shaadi sirf ruhi ke liye kiya hain...agar tumhare dimag mein kuch aur chal raha hain toh please woh sab chodh do..i am warning you"

"Arey suno toh sahi yaar" he says in a loud voice "mein ne maa se nahi kahan ki woh ruhi ko leke jaaye... woh khud le ke gayi hain...Yeh kehke ki humari nayi shaadi huyi hain aur humein time spend karna chahiye.."

"Toh tum mana toh kar sakte teh na"

"Mein kya bol kar manaa kar tha..tumhari hi condition thi ki mein maa ko ya kisi aur ko iss naatak ke baarein mein na kahun.. tumne sabke samne bola tha ki hum ek doosre ko doosra chance de rahe hain..Toh mein kya bol ke mana karta" he asks her

She keeps her mouth shut not able to say anything and was about to move from there when he calls her

"Mujhe tumse baat karni hain"

"Is it related to ruhi?"

"Haan.. Somewhat "

"Toh bolo"

"Tum ruhi se apne aap ko ishimaa kyu bulwa rahi ho??"

"Isme tumhe kya problem hain?... It's just not your business Raman and it shouldn't concern you"

"It does ishita...it does concern me... Ruhi meri beti hain so it does concern me...aur mujhe jaan ne ka haq hain "

"Ruhi tumhare saath saath Meri behen ke bhi beti hain Raman... tumhe shaayad koyi faraq nahi padta hoga agar woh kisi aur ko maa bulaye lekin mujhe padta hain... Shagun ruhi ki maa thi,hain aur hamesha rahegi "and she leaves from there
