'Her son has the same problem...'' Said Romi
'Her son...?'' Asked Raman
'Aditya, her son...Dude imagining he does not exist will not make him go away ' said Romi
'Right...'' Said Raman who remembered that Ishita still presented Aditya as her son and not her brother
Wait... Why was he telling you this...'' He added

When Ishita was forced to shift to your room he was a little worried about her, actually scratch that he was petrified because he knows you do not like her very much. So he told me to sort of make sure she was okay and that she was taking her medication. I asked what he meant and he just said she was sick and needed the medication...'' Said Romi but Raman interrupted
'She takes medication? What, why is she taking medication? I do not think I have ever seen her take any medication...''
'Okay chill out for a second... He said in a very innocent way that the medication was for the insomnia.Because of it she could afford to sleep even though she had nightmares and the sleepwalking. He said the talking and crying was not so bad but it was the wandering around that scared him because well... He does not want to go back to Goa and he believes that if mom finds out about it, she will send them back'' Said Romi
'She wanders about...'' Said Raman surprised
'Apparently so...'' Said Romi as he sat down looking at his brother
'Okay... Since you're going to make me ask... What happened last night after Vandu and I left...'' He added
'Ahh... What can I say...? Mom told her about it'' Said Raman
'About what...'' Said Romi
'The accident... She called me a murder and said...'' Raman began and Romi interrupted

'The whole situation is weird I do not know what to do or say to her. I can't even look her in the face'' Said Raman

'I may not have killed them but I am the reason none of them got justice for the way they died...'' Said Raman
'Okay I am going to ask... All I know from that night is that you were with me... Shagun called you and the next thing I hear you and her were having a joy ride and you killed someone... The timing of it all did not make sense... How come you never told Bhalla Senior what really happened? I tried but you would not let me...'' Said Romi

'Hmmm there has to have been more to it than that...'' Said Romi and Raman turned looking at him finally sighing as he said

'Raman... Raman what is going on...'' Said Romi as his brother finally hang up the phone
'Something is wrong with Shagun'' Said Raman and Romi chuckled saying
'When is it never''
'No... I think she is in trouble... Look... Can you cover for me with mom...'' Said Raman as he grabbed his jacket and headed out in the pouring rain
'Raman... Raman ...'' Romi called him but it fell on deaf ears
'What are we going to do? Mom is going to be pissed...'' Said Romi talking to him-self and he ran back into their rooms
Raman was worried and scared because he thought Shagun was in trouble and was hurt somehow. When she called him that day all he heard was
'Raman... Accident... Help...''
He was scared. If something had happened to her he was not sure what he would have done. He hopped on his bike in the rain and started riding heading to where Shagun was. It was not so far away from the vacation home the families had come for Vacation. They all loved it in Goa because it meant their parents would let go of the handles a bit and just let them enjoy themselves.
After about 30 minutes of riding he finally made it to where Shagun was and she was squatting down in the middle of the road staring at her car that had been damaged on the left side. She had a few bruises on her face and it seemed like she had broken her wrist given the way she was holding it. When she saw him, she got up and ran to where he was crying
'I did not mean it... I swear I did not mean it... I was just trying to get back home...'' She said
'Where is your driver?'' Asked Raman
'He isn't here...'' Shagun sobbed
'What do you mean he isn't here'' Asked Raman
'I... I... I drove the car... I thought I could...'' Shagun said crying some more as she pulled him into her embrace holding him as tight as she could
'It is okay... At least you are okay...'' Said Raman but Shagun let go of his embrace staring at the edge of the clip and she began crying uncontrollably
'What...'' Said Raman a little scared as he turned and looked down the edge
'I did not mean to... I swear I did not mean to'' Shagun cried
He fell back shocked as he saw a car hanging upside down and it took him a few minutes to sort of assess the situation and known how big a problem was. He turned and looked at his girlfriend who was distraught and not knowing what to do
'What happened...'' He asked
'I... I... Raman... Help me... they came from nowhere... It was not my fault...'' Said Shagun as she pulled Raman in hugging him as tight as she could
'What happened...'' Asked Raman
'I was driving... And then I ... I ... I turned and then they came and the next thing I know... Their car is going that way while mine goes that way. It was so fast... I did not mean it... They just came from nowhere'' She said through her sobs
'Where were you going at this time'' Asked Raman
'You... I was coming to see you... You were upset with me and because I am leaving soon I did not want to leave things that way so I wanted to see you. I was scared if you did not you would break up with me'' She cried
'What are we going to do? I am going to jail? My father is going to kill me? What am I supposed to do Raman please help me'' She added
Raman sat back hugging his girlfriend as he analyzed the whole thing. It broke is nave teenage heart when the girl he loved sobbed so much in his arms that he thought the world would end if she remained sad. He calmed her down thinking of a way he was going to mitigate this.
'Okay... Okay... Just let me think... Where is your phone...'' Raman asked
'In my bag in the car'' Shagun cried
'Okay... Just let me grab it because I did not bring mine'' Raman said
Shagun reluctantly let go as he watched as Raman made it to her car. He got in through the back stretching his hand as he made his way to her bag. He took the phone out and started to think of way he could make sure that she was no implicated. She seemed shattered and broken and he being so crazy about her thought he needed to do at least that much for her.
He took her hand making her look at him as he said
'Shagun listen to me...'' And she began to cry again
'I am sorry'' She said
'Hey look at me... Shagun...'' He said again and she obliged
'Stop crying... I am going to take care of this... Okay just calm down'' He said
'What...'' She said almost as if she was surprised with what he had said
'I need to think about this... Okay just...'' Said Raman as he stood up and began pacing thinking of what to do
'Raman...Ram...'' Shagun called him but he just continued
He turned and walked back to the ledge looking down again as if trying to search for something
'Are you sure they no one could survive that'' He asked and Shagun nodded saying no
'Okay... Tell me exactly how this happened...'' Said Raman and Shagun began her tale
'Who hit who first... I need to know, our storied need to match...'' Said Raman
'I hit them first... I was looking at my phone and the next thing I know... I am so sorry'' Said Shagun
'Okay... Okay... It is okay we will figure this out'' Said Raman as she hugged her finally grabbing her hand
'Okay... listen... I was driving not you, you said no, I insisted and off we went okay'' Said Raman
'But...'' Shagun started
'No time for buts... Just tell me you understand...'' Said Raman
'Hmm... I Understand...'' Said Shagun

'And that was that... There was nothing special or serious. I was just a very stupid very nave hormonal teenager who believed if you did anything for a girl you would forever die a hero'' Said Raman
'So you just lied to Dadaji like that'' Said Romi
'Pretty much...'' Said Raman
'But how come when they came to the car she was still alive... They said Ishita was still alive and that she had slipped into a coma' Said Romi
'That is what I do not get...That car was so damaged that it would have been difficult to find anyone alive. That girl should have died in there... I have no idea how she survived in fact it does not make sense that she survived'' Said Raman
'So are you saying she is not her... Ishita is not the Ishita in the accident...'' Said Romi
'There is a possibility yes...'' Said Romi
'And it is statements like that that lead to people being taken in an asylum...'' Said Romi shaking his head
'Romi I am...'' Raman tried
'No you are not even making sense right now. They tested her, she had scars and bruises everywhere, and her body was lifted from the accident site to the hospital while the whole country watched. Is it strange that she survived yeah bit there is such a thing as miracles I believe'' Said Romi
'No... Seriously ... I am telling you there is no way... She might not be the one but they look so much alike that even I am not certain...'' Said Raman
'Maybe she was a twin'' Said Romi casually
'No...Dadaji said the whole family had died that was why no one came back to press charged after the courts dismissed that case. When we found out that someone had been in a hospital near where the accident happened, Mom went them and paid off the people who were supposed to be witnesses. Dadaji then looked for her Uncle paid him off and apparently that is when the deal to marry her off to a Bhalla was made'' Said Raman shaking his head as he added
'I feel so guilty towards her... '
'This is unlike you Raman...'' Said Romi
This was the first time Romi had heard Raman talk about that incident. He seemed like it did not bother him or he did not care but clearly they were wrong.
'It took them 2 days to find her and she was holding on to her last breath of life. When the paramedic said there was a faint pulse I swear a part of me was happy that maybe something good could have come out of this tragic thing or maybe it was my guilt talking. I figured maybe we would make it up to her somehow and make sure that she got the best care but...'' Said Raman
'She disappeared from hospital yeah I know...'' Said Romi
'Do you think grandpa had something to do with it'' Asked Raman
