Part-4
That day Ladies completed their shopping & came back. They were going to their houses when suddenly Ishita got stomach pain, bags which she was holding, fall down & she clutched her stomach, she was about to lose her balance but Bala & Raman hold her on right time who were coming from outside. All gathered around her asking if she is fine. They took her inside & made her sit on couch, Vandu also came out hearing noise. She asked seeing her amma making her to drink water,
V-What happened Ishu? Tu thik hai na.
I (after drinking some water)-Yes akka, I'm perfectly fne. Kuch nhi hua, don't worry amma, bas aise hi thoda pain ho gaya tha...
Mrs Iyer-Ille Ishu, main tumhe kuch dino se notice kar rhi hu, tum week go gayi ho. I told you many times to go for a checkup but you never listen to me.
She started scolding her while Ishita looked at Vandu who is the only person to handle her amma.
Vandu somehow stopped amma & told her to go & rest, she will talk to Ishita. Mr Iyer took Mrs Iyer inside while Bhallas too went back telling Ishita to take care of her & Bala thanked Raman.
Vandu & Bala were left only. They asked Ishita if she is really fine or there is need for dr to which she told them not to worry, she is good, it was may be because of weakness & she will take care of her now onwards. She assured both of them but herself was not sure & thought to get herself check after engagement.
Next two days also passed in preparations of the functions & maintaining everything. Mrs Bhalla & Mrs Iyer were trying their best to coordinate with each other but usually they ended up in fighting due to their different customs & cultures. Mr Bhalla & Mr Iyer had a very hard time to manage their wives. In between these days, as Bala was busy in arrangements so he told Vandu to help Romi, Rinki & adi in studies in evening & Ishita too used to help her so that she will not get tired much while Mihika too joined Romi & Rinki as she trio were in commerce stream & she was also feeling bored alone. Ishita used to help adi mostly as she had studied science & both used to do lot of masti too in between studies. Shagun was busy with her mother in her room mostly without paying attention towards anyone. While rest of the family were busy in preparations of their respective functions.
Finally, after two days community hall was decorated mixing both sides' choices & everything was arranged. In evening, first, Shagun's baby shower was completed nicely & then Ishita-Subbu engagement's rituals started. Bhallas too were there except Shagun who went to take rest & her mother was with her only. Ishita & Subbu were going to exchange the rings when Ishita fall down clutching her stomach, having stomach pain again & this time it was at large extent. She was feeling weakness from morning itself due to hectic day doing rituals from morning. All got worried seeing her bad condition, Bala took her to hospital along with amma, appa, Subbu & his parents. Mihika & her mother stayed at home with Vandu who was getting worried for her sister. Mihika's mother & Mrs Bhalla somehow made her sleep for some time while Mihika's mother apologized to guests & dispersed the function. Mr Bhalla too went to hospital. Simmi fed adi & made him sleep somehow as he was also in the function & after seeing Ishita, he was asking continuously to Simmi what happened to her to which she just said that she will get fine soon. Mihir left with his mother.
In hospital, Ishita was admitted & soon doctor started treating her & taking tests but dr didn't informed what happened to her. All were worried at home as well as hospital. Mr Bhalla stayed at hospital only, even after Mr Iyer told him to go. Vandu woke in night & called Bala to know about Ishita, he lied to her that she is better now & asked her to take rest & not to get worried. Whole night passed like in tension and finally, at early morning, after checking ishita, doing lots of tests and after reading the reports, Dr came to the conclusion and told same to the family about her condition of incapable to conceive in future giving the biggest shock to her parents and all. Amma appa cried for their daughter not knowing what to do while Bala asked about Ishita's condition and all. All were shocked. Mr Bhalla was consoling Mr Iyer while Bala consoled Mrs Iyer. All were still thinking how to inform this to Ishita when a nurse came out of her cabin and informed that Ishita gained her senses. Bala told amma appa to control their emotions in front of her and they will not tell her anything right now. Bala's mother tried to intervene saying Ishita should know her condition but Bala requested to her to be quite. All went inside composing themselves. Ishita saw all coming with not so happy faces, only Bala was trying to smile. Amma appa hugged her asking how she is feeling now.
Ishita-Kya hua amma? Aap log aise dukhi kyu lag rhe ho.
Bala-Dukhi to honge hi na, tumne sab ko kitna dara diya tha. Amma always told you to take care of yourself but you never listen to her and now see you have to come in hospital on your engagement day. Not fair Ishu.
Ishita remembered last night happenings and apologised to all especially Subbu's mother, before she Subbu's mother could say anything, subbu asked about her health to which she replied that she is fine but asked too what doctors said. All looked at each other but Bala tried to handle the situation and lied to her that she is weak and not taking care of herself. She sensed him saying a lie but before she could ask again, nurse came and sent them out for some time, she gave her an injection and ishita asked her about her condition to which she blurted out everything thinking her family must have told her giving her major shock. She was sitting all shocked and tears were flowing from her eyes.
After few minutes, all came inside again only to see Ishita crying. Amma hugged her and asked if she is having pain to which she just hugged her back crying. Amma looked at Bala and appa and was about to ask her again when same nurse entered inside asking them to let the patient rest. Bala thought something and then asked the nurse if she talked to ishita about her condition to which she said yes. All got worried. Bala tried to console ishita and somehow managed too to make her little relax. He told her to calm down and everything will be fine but she have to strong. Subbu also came forward and consoled her too. Dr came to check her and Ishita asked straightforward what are the chances to conceive for her to which Dr said that chances are less but she can try for some treatments. Dr went out after checking her and informing that she will get discharge till evening along with prescription of medicines.
Ishita was sitting silently while Amma was about to talk to her but Bala stopped her and told her rest. All went out. Subbu's mother was first one to break the silence. She informed that she can't accept ishita like this. Bala told her that it's not the right time to talk about it but she didn't stop and said that she wants to clear it now only and as ishita can't become mother so Subbu will not marry her. Subbu also interrupted her but she said few more things making subbu to think while seeing subbu thinking over it, Bala told him to leave from here now itself if he is having second thought over the matter and can't stand with ishita in her hard time. Subbu's mother took Subbu from there while Bala apologised to amma appa for his mother's harsh words. Ishita also heard all this and was hurt that Subbu left her when she needs his support.
Soon everyone came to know about the matter in Iyer house and Bhalla house too. All felt bad for her except shagun who was least interested in others' life. In evening, ishita got discharged and all took her back to home. In society, everyone got to know from shagun's mother and this news spread like a forest catches the fire. When Iyers came to society, all started gossiping seeing them. They went inside ignoring them while vandu took her inside. Till now she was silent but the moment she got a comfortable hug from her akka with whom she always shared her every problem, she cried a lot hugging her while Vandu had a very hard time to console her.
Few days passed, Mihika went back to her home with her mother as she was having her school. In between these days, Ishita was just a lost soul, always spent her whole time in her room, she was more hurt due to Subbu's behaviour who didn't come to meet her after hospital's incident, not even a call, she just tries to behave normal when Vandu or adi will be around her. Adi who feels good with Ishita, used to come to her in evening in the name of his homework, Bhallas too didn't stop him as they could see Ishita happy with him while Shagun was ok with it as adi is not troubling her now to play with him or help him in his homework but Shagun's mother used to alert Shagun to keep adi away from Ishita. Mr & Mrs Iyer tried to talk to Bala's mother & Subbu but they denied, in fact, this time, subbu too denied straightly that they can't live happy without a baby forever. Bala broke his relations with him saying he should at least stand with Ishita & try to find some solution but he didn't try. Vandu & Bala made Ishita understand to be strong & not to cry for him. Ishita too decided to concentrate on her career & started going to clinic.
Here I'm ending this part. There will be no subbu in future parts.
