Raman was looking at ishita all shocked when she came close to him and said hugging him-haan raman, I want ur surname. Mujhe ishita iyer se ishita bhalla banna hai, mujhe aapka banna hai raman, I love u, I love u alot. U r the only one who stand by me when I was all alone, jab main apni zindagi ke andheron mein doob rahi thi, u were the one who pulled me out and bring me in light. I always wanted u to propose me and was waiting for ur proposal only but my sharmila Kumar was taking much time, so I thought to do it myself only, I love u raman and I know u love me too. She said looking and him and took his lips in hers. She started kissing him but he wasn't responding. She broke the kiss and asked looking at him -what happened, Raman. Aren't u happy, don't u love me??
Raman broke the hug and said turning -don't do this ishita, don't do this. Yeh galat hoga.
Ishita got shocked hearing this from Raman and said -kya Matlab galat hoga, tumhe achcha nahi lagaa kya, mera tumse yeh gift maangna.tumhe mujhko apna banane ko kehna, oh so does it mean, u don't love me. Mujhe lag raha tha that u do love me, aur shayad kisi kaaran se hesitant ho but I think, I was wrong. U were not proposing me, coz u don't love me. Yahin baat hai naa raman, u don't love me naa. she said all shattered.
Raman turned to ishita and said-aisi baat nahi hai ishita.
Ishita -toh phir kaisi baat hai, being a girl I am proposing u and u r not happy. U r infact sad and saying me not to say so, it means that u don't love me. Toh agar aisi baat hai toh tell it on my face, tell me that u don't love me. Come on raman tell me that u don't love me. She said looking at him with moist eyes when Raman said -i love u ishita, infact I love u alot. Tumse bahut pyaar karta hoon, aur jaisa tumhare liye feel karta hoon waisa kabhi kisi ke liye nahi kiya, but, he paused.
Ishita -but kya raman, if u love me then what but.
Raman -but I can't propose u ,I can't love u and even can't think of making u mine. He was saying when ishita said -but kyun raman.
Raman -kyun, kyun ishita, do I really have to answer it, can't u see the obvious. He said to which she nodded in no.
Raman -i think u have forgotten that dadu broke all relationship with ur father just because he married a girl out of our community. Aur aaj tum bhi wahin karna chahti ho. We r from other communities ishita and dadu will never accept me. Hum bhaag bhi jaayen toh bhi yeh galat hi hoga. We can't leave dadu -dadi in pain again, so it will be better if we stop thinking about each other, coz I know dadu will never agree for our relationship aur phir tum logon ke rishte mein problems aayegi. I don't want to be the reason behind ur trouble, ishita. So it will be better if we stop our relationship here only. He said while ishita was just looking at him with moist eyes.
Ishita -sabke baare mein soch liya, hamare baare mein nahi. I love u raman and can't live without u, main maanti hoon dadu uss samay nahi maane the but shayad ab maan jaaye, he may be changed.
Raman -no, he never changed. Tum nahi rahi ho unke saath, so u don't know. But I know, I have seen him. He is very particular about his beliefs. He will never accept a Punjabi husband for u. Aur waise bhi, it's not ur age for love, u r just sixteen. May be u forget me when u grow up and everything will be fine.
Ishita -shut up, just shut up. Don't teach me, mujhe koi bakwaas nahi sunni aapki. U r being stupid and ruining our love for ur stupidity. Aap jaana chahte hai naa mujhse dur, then go but trust me I will never talk to u again, even won't show u, my face ever. She said crying and Raman tried to hug her to console her. She shrugged his hand and said -bahut achcha gift diya aapne raman, u made me cry on my birthday. She said and was going crying ,she walked few steps and someone hold her hand. She raised her head and said -dadu.
Raman look at the direction and saw his parent and her grandparents standing there.
Raman got scared seeing them all and said -woh dadu main aur ishita, he was saying when dadu said side hugging ishita -raman stupid nahi, bahut bada stupid hai. He really thinks ki ab bhi apni jhoothi beliefs ke liye main apni ishu kanna ko khushiyan daanv par lagaunga. He said making Ishra shocked.
Raman was about to say something when dadu said -i know Maine apne bete ke saath galat kiya, aur ab main woh galti apni poti ke saath nahi dohraunga. Mujhe samajh aa gaya hai ki pyaar ki koi boundary nahi hoti aur usse boundaries mein bandhna galat hai. Agar tum dono ek dusre se pyaar karte ho toh tum dono ko Ek hone se koi nahi rokega, at least main toh nahi. I am happy with this relationship, infact more then happy as I know my raman kanna well, he will always keep my ishu happy. He said making Ishra happy.
Raman walked to dadu and hugged him. Ishita too hugged dadu tight. Dadu looked at Mr and Mrs bhalla and said -i know u don't like tamilian much, but ishu is not much religious like us, aur phir raman kanna too loves her so if u all agree, can we think about their relationship.
Toshiji walked to ishita and said -yes, though I don't like Madrasi much but I like ishita puttar as she is much more like punjabi then Madrasi. Toh mujhe iss rishte se koi aitraaz nahi hai. Mujhe ishita puttar mere Raman ke liye pasand hai. She said caressing ishita's face and hugged her tight making Ishra happy to no end.
Soon Ishra were taken inside and both the families arranged rings for their engagement.
Dadu officially announced of ishra engagement and rings were presented. Ishita slipped ring in Raman's finger and Raman too did the same. Dadu happily announced them engaged and hugged Ishra. Bhallas too hugged and blessed Ishra.
Mr bhalla -bhale hi humne tum logon ki engagement kara di hai but shaadi tab hi hogi when u people will be well established. Ishita puttar ka MBBS pura ho jaaye, tumhari engineering ho jaaye, phir hi shaadi ki baat hogi. So u will be as fiance for long, I hope u two always stay in ur limits and never disrespect us.
Raman -never papa ,aap logon ne bina maange hume sab kuch de diya, why we will do anything to hurt u all.
Dadu -bhalla ji, aapko bhale naa ho but I trust my Raman kanna, trust toh mujhe iss shaitaan par nahi hai. Ishu kanna, u have to be a very good girl and good daughter in law, u have to made us proud kanna.
Ishita -i will dadu ,aapne mere birthday par mujhe duniya ki sabse badi khushi de di. I will always do as per ur will.
Dadu kissed her temple and said -hope ab vishwa mujhe maaf kar de. Joh galti Maine uske saath ki, aaj uska thoda saa prayaschit kar liya maine .murugan tum dono ko hamesha khush rakhen. He said and hugged Ishra again. Dadi too joined the hug.
Then Ishra went to bhallas and they too hugged Ishra.
Raman -dadu, Main ishita ko apne saath le jaun. It's her birthday and I want to do something special for her.
Dadu -jao, le jao but drop her on time.
Raman nodded and look at his parents for permission, they too nodded and raman took ishita out of the party.
After an hour, both were sitting near a late in the outskirts of NCR. Both were sitting hand in hand sipping their tea.
Ishita -u know, I hate u. Saadhu ban rahe the, was leaving me. Mujhe aapse baat hi nahi karna.
Raman -sorry yaar but I really don't wanted to create any rift between u and dadu -dadi.but its really good that everyone agreed, sab kitne easily maan gaye naa.
Ishita -i too never expected that, but it's good that everything went well. But I am really angry, u didn't gift me anything.
Raman -arey, aise kaise, I am giving u my surname naa.
Ishita -u r giving, excuse me Mr, dadu ne agree kiya, toh woh aapko gift mein count nahi hoga. I want something more from u.
Raman -kya??
Ishita -sab kuch main hi bataun, aap socho.
Raman -ok, I will give u ur gift but before that I want a promise from u.
Ishita -kya??
Raman -yahin ki hamesha aise hi rehna, kabhi change mat hona.
Ishita -never ,I will never change. Will always tease u like I use to do. Aapke kapde saare bhiga dungi leaving one set and then our fight for that one piece of cloth.
Raman -haan and then u will wear my shirt and slowly I will pull u to me and claim ur lips. Then slowly we will get lost in our world of love. He said caressing her lips. She closed her eyes feeling his touch and very soon his fingers got replaced by his lips.
Raman kissed her and said -this is ur birthday gift, my birthday girl. He said and captured her lips again in his and soon both were lost in kissing each other hungrily forgetting the world celebrating their togetherness.
