However, I'm commenting here to let you know that by using a language which the majority of the members don't understand; you may be hurting the sentiments of Bengali members whose mother tongue is being demeaned by comments like thinking of the phrase as "doob marro"

Bengali is the primary language spoken in Bangladesh and the second most spoken language in India as well as the mother tongue of over 15 millions Bengalis residing in Europe and North America. With over 270 million speakers, Bengali is the 7th most spoken native language in the world.

Bengali literature, with its millennium old history and folk heritage, has extensively developed since the Bengali Renaissance and is one of the most prominent and diverse literary traditions in Asia. Both the national anthems of India (Jana Gana Mana )Bangladesh (Amar Sonar Bangla) were composed in Bengali. Furthermore, International Mother Language Day is celebrated globally every year by United Nations (UNESCO) in recognition of the martyrs of Bengali language movement.

A language as such can never be demeaned. However, it is my mother tongue too and I wasn't aware of what you mentioned. It won't happen again.
