Coming back he found Ishita married another man (Raman) and learnt about all that happened while he was away.

I have always supported and defended Mani in this forum even when he acts jealous and acts protective over Ishita.

My reasons are because these two things made his character real and natural.

If he was always good to Raman after what we have been watching on this show, then he would have been the worst friend in the world.

Even as a girl, I always try protect my best friend...even against her own self talkless of a relationship with seems abusive to me.

Yes, Raman and Ishita love each other, but we can't close our eyes to the fact that there are abusitve (mostly emotional and verbal) issues in their relationship.

Even as a fan who knows Raman thatalways has good intentions, I sometimes feel mad at him for the way he talks to his wife. So, I don't have any right to criticizes Mani, who can't read Raman's heart.

I think what annoys a lot of people is the fact that Ishita could have been with a better man, In a more peaceful environment. CV shows Mani is a better man than Raman in a story that is ISHRA'S

With that been said, without Raman this show would have been as boring as the lib especially since Mani doesn't have a mother in the show. Just imagine DABH without bhabo and Minakshi.

I married my own Mani. Honestly ,sometimes as boring as...lol. But, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world because My life is also sweet, safe, protected, and full of love ( I fell in love ).

Moni is the most mature n well written character in this show.i always like moni's role which is a true selfless friend of ishita in ishita's ups n downs life. Ishita's life would be completely smooth n beautiful if she chose mani as her life partner.but then there perhaps wouldn't remain any story in show n it shouldn't even be happened as ishita wouldn't ever be happy with mani n she would have to compromise her life if she got married with mani because she loves raman alot of n this was perfectly understood by mani. Mani himself admitted to Ishita multiple times that he heard the news of Ishita-Subbu breakup (and to correct you, Subbu wasn't Ishita's fiance; she was her bf who called off their engagement just before it was going to materialize as he found her medical condition). Ishita was single for at least two years and her family was so desperate to find a match for her but she was rejected each time. Knowing all these, Mani didn't have a courtesy to call her or her family; let alone taking her responsibility as a man.

@Red: I think you haven't watched earlier episodes of YHM. The very first episode started stating that Ishita had been rejected by many men for years. That's why Mrs Iyer used to be so worried about Ishita all the time.

The way their (IshRa) characters are sketched, it is impossible to live with a woman like Ishita too. Besides, there is a huge difference between knowing the path and walking down the path. Mani didn't walk down the path and he showed a glimpse of his true color when he rejected Ishita as Aliya's mother just because Ishita supported Adi! Old RKB with all his defects always stood up for Ishita even when IshRa used to loathe each other. When makers made this beautiful story a daily soapish version of beauty and the beast only then RKB is made a puppet.

Mani is a pathetic meddler. Period. Every relationship has a limit and no reIationship must not cross lines, specially when it comes to matters of husband-wife. Mani absolutely has no sense about that at all. Personally I would never want a friend like Mani. Cos I wouldn't want anyone ruining my marriage.
