I mean the least focus is on Raman in terms of both - progress of the storyline and character growth. He's the lead, so he's there, but neither has there been any focus on his PoVs, nor is the character given any meaty stuff to do. It is only because of the actor's nuanced performance that we can still see Raman as, well, Raman. Show wise - He's quite unnecessary 😛 Even Neelu gets monologues than him 😆

I do agree though - to understand his POV, you have to read into the actor's expressions to find conflict, any POV he gives is riddled with something that's a turn off (ie choking ), he can't execute a plan all the way through & have it successful

But he is vital or important as a character in terms of the good sides of the story nor is he the main focus of the story in my opinion...but without Raman Kumar Bhalla...How would any track start? How would Shagun change shades? How would Ishita have to fight the world? How would there be MUs abound? Who would turn into a clown when he's sick for humor? How would cry buckets but take no action?

And most importantly...without Raman Kumar Bhalla, how would we get our (now sparse) lollipops 😆

In my opinion - Raman is just the nidus for drama and for other characters to soar from. He is the spark with no POV or follow up...but everyone else's POV can stem from his action easily.

For me, if Raman was who this show was about, then it would be clear what he feels, you could see how he thinks easily, and most importantly if he is the male lead or a hero of the show - he in theory should do a few lead worthy positive actions.

Which is why I asked for the 100+ people who voted for him as the main focus of the show to share their opinion. 😳

Post leap it has all been about hair, sarees and blouse .. I had given up on yhm .. Came back post leap with the hope of reviving old chemistry .. Which whenever the cvs been meherban we got to witness but frankly the storytelling has become so disjointed it's hard to keep track of the story .. I only watch for Divan chemistry whenever we get a glimpse... There was lot of potential but I guess the Cvs have their priorities all bungled up ... So we talk more about blouses or lack there of than the characters.. And that's a shame as yhm has such deep talent pool..

@Pb - I put Mani or Raman? b/c this idea of who is better - Mani or Raman is randomly put into the story at 2 junctions now...so it by no means is a part of the story from day 1 but post leap it has been. As a result I just didn't know how to frame it. 😕

I personally feel that the CVs are confused about what Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is about. They show too much crap about Vandu,bala,shravan,alia,mani and shaguniya's mixed emotions.🤢 Shagun is a completely confused soul, at first when she got to know about Ishu from Pihu in Australia she was like Shagun The Detective😎 and she was searching for Ishu but by the time she returned back to India she was ready to become Raman's wife even after knowing what Ishita means to him.😡 She didn't even want her own daughter Ruhi to come back just because she knew that Ru is the base of Ishra's relationship. I totally could'nt belive it bc Ru is her own daughter and why would a moher want her daughter to be dead🤢. Well that kind of shows that the love she has for Pihu is just to show the family that how mahan she is. 😕Anyways when Ru returned home and even ishu did she started showing her insecurities by showing over the top bonding with pihu.🤢And then ishu got kidnapped she started showing how good she is and NOW FINALLY shagun's real colors will be exposed.😃 So I think Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is not about IshRaRu anymore its more about shagun's mahanta, sacrifices and insecurities.😕 But still even if there is a little of IshRa moments,😳 like the goons trouble and then putting putting rose water into her eyes and oh how can I forget puttar's great fall 🤣its a bliss to watch.

p.s. I really miss the old YHM😭... Hae kya din the IshRa's cute nokjhoks and mohabbatein😳 and IshRu's ishima-ruhi scenes😳which could literally make me cry... 😭

She ell be back etc..all not needed na😕

Waise my soap viewer MILs comment...when mani and ruhis 15 min long scene aired. .oh..when will this guy stop talking..let me go fry papads for dinner till this scene ends😆
