A couple needs to get remarried to get custody rights of their own child, or the custody would go to the criminal who kidnapped the child and tortured for 7 years. When it is know that the kidnapped girl child was made to act as a boy by the criminal still no child abuse charges are filed against the criminal. If Raman and Ishita need to be a married couple to get Ruhi's custody the only thing they might need to prove is that Ishita is alive and not dead as was assumed 7 years back, their marriage was neither dissolved nor were they divorced any time.
