Hello, here is the update for chapter 2, sorry for any mistakes. I have no other intentions in making this story, i just wanted to pen down the idea. Thank you everyone who like and comment on this story😊
CHAPTER 2
HOSPITAL
"ISHU..didi.." said mihika trying to wake ishita. Two wardens guard up the room in fear of ishita flee from the ward. "Mihika..where am i?" asked ishita not familiarize with the place. "di.. you had high grade fever, plus you also had low sugar level thus you faint, they brought you here immediately..." explained mihika.. Trying hard to recall the incident, ishita realized the bitter truth of her current living situation. She was being shoo away by her husband in pretext of trying to kill ruhi.. unknown to her, automatically tears running from her beautiful doe eyes.. "Save this tears for someone else di, they don't deserve it from you.." mihika wiped aways her tears.. "Ruhi is safe now.." those magic words uttered by mihika giving a huge relief for her. "thank you miku...thank you.." she hugged her sister in expressing her gratitude.. "I want.." she stopped saying her wish knowing the fact how much hatred raman had towards her and the status as a criminal won't help her either to meet her precious little ruhi.. "I know you really want to meet her di, but jiju instruct.."mihika reluctantly tried to say the words.. "I understand it"replied ishita.. "Don't worry di, i'll ask romi to send ruhi picture day by day and i'll visit you just to show it.."mihika tried to elate her mood. She appreciated her sister's effort but deep inside her, perhaps this is the last time she will see ruhi as her daughter, she lost all hope to have a family once raman accused her of everything. " Go home and take a rest miku.. i'll be fine in here.." instructed her to mihika. She complied with it.
"Mr raman bhalla, can i discuss something with you and your parents?" asked dr mohit, the consultant incharged in treating ruhi.. "Sure" replied raman. They all have a seat in a room, "Actually mr bhalla, we found that the cause of ruhi's current condition might be due to wrong technique of bottle feeding, she choked while having her milk.. Thanks to the person whom quickly giving ruhi the first aid, if i'm not mistaken her name is ishita right? she seemed to know a lot of medical knowledge.." said the doctor. Raman was surprised to know the reason behind her little angle's suffer. "Yes doctor, that is my bahu, she is a dentist.." replied mr bhalla. "Well thanks to her who react fast, now i can ensure you ruhi is getting better and better, we will see when we can discharge her.." said dr mohit. All the bhallas thanked him. "Raman..ishita did save ruhi.."said mrs bhalla.. "No, she is the reason behind all this" denied raman. He left from there to discuss further with pathak.
"Thank god ruhi is safe bhai.." said pathak. "Yes but this does not mean i will let this thing go.." replied him. "Okay bhai but once again i'm going to say, think carefully, you might end a life of innocent soul.."advised pathak. "Well, do you remember with whom ruhi being fed lastly before she choked?" asked pathak. " I don't really know but the maid in the house, neelu said that ishita is seen last with her and furthermore, she hurriedly left from the house.." replied him.. "bhai..ishita bhabhi might be in hurry to send ruhi to hospital.. is there anyone else in the house? have you ever heard explanation from ishita?" inquired pathak.. Raman nodded negatively, a thought strucked his mind, what if pathak right, ishita is innocent.. he brushed it off, " i want you to find out more evidence so that we can punish her as soon as possible.."said raman. He went back to his office and before that pathak informed him that ishita was admitted due to fever and low sugar. He chuckled and said " she deserved worse than that.." Pathak only can nodded negatively, how much ego his bhai, he afraid that raman will really regret in making this decision.
Ishita had fully recovered and sent back into jail. "I heard that you are sick, well you deserve worse than that, just wait for the day of justice ishita" his voice sounded so cold an cruel. Ishita smiled helplessly, "i'm waiting for it.." the only reply she can give. Raman gave a deadful glare to her but it did not give any effect because she was already dead on the day she was accused of everything. "Are you happy?" she asked him. "Bohot" replied raman mercilessly, ishita understood it well and said " not long raman, you will be freed from all the misery.." she left and have a seat at the corner of her cell. Raman left from there and thinking about her words. A part of him can't
wait the moment he is free from ishita, and a part of him thinking is there any possibility that ishita is actually meant for him and he was blinded by a hatred and unable to see her kindnes..
"Welcome back ruhi the little angel.." the house was decorated full in colour to welcome back the little heroine, ruhi gave a smile to her family while safely held by her father, not sure whether ruhi can detect that her mother is not around or it is just how infants whom just recovered behave. She looks a little bit mood off and became too clingy to her father, usually she can mix well with others but today she only wanted to be hold by her father only. "Ruhi beta.. today papa will be with you for the whole time.." said raman while giving her daughter a kiss.. Suddenly, "ruhii.. my cute baby..come to me na.." shagun tried to behave well with ruhi. The choti don can sense an upcoming danger and instantly cried for his father begging him not to let her towards the witch.
Mrs bhalla felt uneasy with shagun keep making her appearance at bhalla's house. She can felt ishita is hurt with raman treating well shagun but ishita is ishita, she plastered a smile to show to the world how happy she is. "Shagun..please.. ruhi is still recovering.. have you wash your hnd? i don't think it's a good idea for you to hold her now.." said mrs bhalla. Shagun tried to understand the meaning of her words. She can only agreed with it..
Neelu, the maid served tea for everyone. "Miss Shagun, when did you leave that day? i'm sorry
i can't send you to the door. I had to manage kitchen alone that day, sorry miss." said neelu as an apology towards shagun. Shagun was about to kill neelu with her glare, she faked a smile and muttered under her breath how neelu almost exposed her deed.Mrs bhalla asked shagun out of her curiosity, "Shagun you was here the day ruhi admitted? i thought ishita was alone?" Shagun tried to think fast to cover herself up. Raman was in thinking mode when he got a call from Pathak asking him to come to the office quick. Shagun took this opportunity to leave as soon as possible before her lie being exposed. "Ruhi my princess, sorry papa has to go.."said raman while kissing his daughter gently. "Shagun, would you like me to drop you?" asked him.Shagun refused it with reason that she need to go somewhere else.
After putting ruhi into sleep, mrs bhalla tried to inquire more from neelu. The naive maid told everything about the whole day, unknown to her she was about to save a life, ishita. Meanwhile in Pathak's office, "Raman bhai, someone wanted to meet you.."said him. Mihika make an entry, "Mr bhalla, i'm here as a lawyer to ishita. i'm trying to discuss few matter"said her in a strict tone. "Trying so hard to save that criminal huh?" replied raman. Mihika can't believe that her jiju will turn out to be this cruel but what she can do, only the proof will exposed everything. "I want cctv footage from your house, i really want to make sure my client is innocent." asked mihika. "Sure, you can have it, prepare yourself for the revelation." said raman. She chuckled," i think you better prepare yourself jiju, you just killed an innocent soul." said mihika confidently. She left from there, Pathak tried to talk to raman, "Bhai, i will also analyze the footage and in any percentage, if bhabhi is innocent i will say one word, you lost an angel due to your ego.." Raman just ignored his comment, for him, his daughter matter much rather than that strange wife whom he thought to be a child bully.
At bhalla's house, Raman's mother told him everyhting that was storied by neelu. She also informed that an investigator took the cctv footage from their house. Raman just keep silent and went straight to his room. Raman kept thinking he will win no matter what in this case but a small thought strucked him, what if he punished the wrong person? the current situation seems to oppose the way he thought,his mother revealed a story that seems to side ishita. He just brushed off that thought, he will wait for the next day to reveal all the truth. "Ishita, wait for the justice.." mumbled him.
"Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high Like a diamond in the sky,Twinkle, twinkle, little star .How I wonder what you are" ishita sang the lullaby which she usually used to make her little angel ruhi to fall asleep.. "Ruhi..mumma bohot miss you, sleep well na baby.. be a good girl." her voice cracked due to the ultimate sadness. She sighed thinking how her life will be in future. At bhallas's house, ruhi being cranky making the whole house awake, unable to sleep.. Everyone tried to calm her to the point of no use, "bhai sing twinkle twinkle little star, bhabhi used to do that." said rinki, the little sister of raman. He helplessly agreed and asked other family members to go sleep back. He went to his room calming ruhi in attempt to make her fall asleep. "Ruhi..be a good girl na.." said raman but ruhi keep wailing. "Do you miss ur mumma?" asked raman reluctantly. Out of blue, ruhi getting calmer, and in the end after struggling with the lullaby, he succeed in getting the choti don to sleep. His mind wandering what is the outcome for tomorrow, is he going to regret for his lifetime?
PRECAP: Everyone is shocked with the revelation. Raman let out a small laugh, he can't digest the turning of events... Tears glistening in mihika's eyes.
