Welcome back to where you belong Nids (creative writing world) 🤗 😆 I AM SO SO SO HAPPY to read something from you. I was low you know but now all good. And all thanks to you and our little discussion on WA 😆
I'm glad I could help you feel better 😃 And thank you for the welcome 🤗 🤗but mostly via live-updating friends who can't watch without sharing what happened and has been happening 😆 😆 (This is a silent shout-out to you know who ☺️ and I love you guys 😳 )^I am sure one of the people mentioned there is me? 😛😳 guilty as charged and I LOVE YOU BACK.Yes 😆 I remember you mentioning that you don't feel right watching YHM without LUing 😛 😆I love that you took up a concept like this and certainly because after long, something on the show... even though evil and vicious seems bought on reasonably and not just out of no where. That's exactly why this thought even stuck in my mind after reading the written updates. All that has happened so far has been abso-bloody-lutely illogical. Not that this is brilliant, but it brings back some semblance of logic, and there's been sort of a character growth here.I am glad to read a different point, of a character less spoken and less dealt with. I was disappointed when the show didn't touch on the feelings Sarika went through and so now I am excited to watch a track, where none of her actions are justified but her journey from a normal simple girl to a scheming conspirator is relatable.Excited will be too strong a word to describe my feelings for any track in YHM now 😆 But yeah, Sarika's journey is relatable at the very least. This has been my biggest pet peeve with YHM - The side characters were also written and introduced beautifully, each side character had intricacies woven into it, they had depth and reasoning, and they all fit in to the leads' story perfectly. Over time, with YHM 2.0, then 3.0, then 4.0, it all got ruined to an extent that I started cringing from the way these other characters are now treated.Everyone, whether the Iyers or Bhallas or people outside like Sarika or Param, had their own story running in parallel, making it look real. Now there's just one story - and everything else gets sidelined. You've beautifully penned a piece which was not easy I KNOW because it deals with not pure black or white feelings, but grey ones. Sarika isn't all white and isn't all black. She was physically used by Romi, abandoned when she was pregnant and never treated with respect by most of his family. When they were bought to their knees by Romi's condition, they went crawling back to her which was distasteful and disgusting. And no woman deserves to be respected only for her womb. Losing her child, her mother and then running away from a orthodox and blood thirsty family is a nightmare. It's not wrong that she wants to secure herself or is scared of living the measly life she had been living and those feelings you've touched on bang on because I feel more for her now.@red - Exactly how YHM used to be. Nobody was black or white, but grey. The good people had flaws and the bad people had some genuineness. Romi was a spoilt brat who loved his brother, Sarika was a simple girl who wanted emotional and financial stability in her life. He wasn't black then, she wasn't white.Similarly, today, even though he's seemingly being tortured by her, he isn't pure white either, nor is she black - That is, IF we go by their journey. But the CVs will paint her blackest of blacks and Romi, the victim. Hence I thought to pen this down before that happens 😆BUT like I said, its the way and the people she chose to get back at that I totally condemn. Raman, Adi and Ruhi... the whole family.. everyone was put at stake with her plans..And to punish so many innocent people for a fault that was just Romi's? Not done.I never said I approve of her actions, but I get why she's so resentful towards the entire family. When you're wronged time and again by a set group of people, you kind of lose focus on who's the main culprit, and try to paint them all in one color, if for nothing else but just being there to support the culprit. Romi & Toshi are responsible for most of whatever went wrong with her, and so she's deeming the entire family responsible. And let's face it, even though IshRa felt for her, they didn't seek her out exclusively to help her, until Romi's problem came to fore. Chalo, agreed, she vanished and they couldn't find her. But time and again Romi did kaand after kaand, the latest being family track, and he was always forgiven. He was never made to realize his faults in a way that make him stand up on his own, without his brother's support. Had he been a good husband and a responsible father, Sarika might not have felt the resentment to the extent that she started feeling. This, in no way means that she was right to attack the kids or try to *kill* people. But this is such an amazing track to touch on and it was worth reading this point of view which made so much more sense than anything else on the show.I LOVE reading anything you pen Nids and PLEASE PLEASE come up with something IshRa soon. 😳
