HI Nidoo very thoughtful OS! Not watching the show dont wanna give it try unless surrogacy is scrapped...but I go through reviews sometimes...thus have a idea of its occurrence!! to some extent Sarika-Rohit track is quite rational...
Actually its easy to hate...Sarika did the worst by attempting murder of innocent people...but she has had her reasons...her reasons of no separation from the only person she loves in the world...its Romi!! the forever careless soul of YHM...it is known fact if it was not for the baby Romi would've never accepted Sarika!...and Mrs Bhalla she was reason of this entire mess actually...had she not created the objection in romi-sarika rendezvous...they wouldn have got married in the first place! she has LOVED and wanted romi beyond everything in the world...that has been her reason to commit any damn crime in order to become happy with HIM, to live with him! hence her kaands went overboard...having said there was a purpose, a motive! so I definitely sympathize with her!

do I sound anyway defending her deeds...lol no way...attempting murder is not a small crime mind you CVs...the future of this can be anythin' but Sarika's redemption track can easily be approached...as long as her character is not as much ruined as our precious protagonists😆 ...but expecting anythin from this show means be ready for yet another heartbreak 😈

again nicely summarized her turmoils in life!! brilliance👍🏼
thank you for d pm!

YHM was a phase to me, I can't fall back into it. You can't 'un-butcher' something. And even I don't watch, I can't discuss it anymore because somewhere down the line even the people I once admired are now to be seen as nothing but rabid fangirls. It's toxic and sad. You cannot hate on someone to justify loving another, that is wrong on so many levels that I cannot even explain of. I'm sorry if I was rude. :)

Hi Ara,

you are not rude but I think you didn't get what I was saying.

I understand where Sarika comes from how she changed. Even though I was angry with her for joining hands with Ashok but still could feel something for her because whatever she went through in life is because of Param,Romi and Mrs.Bhalla.

I don't even find her at fault with trying to kill Raman because even though he always thought good about her like when he asked her to stay away from Romi because he knew Romi character or when he said to her that he will stand by her as financial support if she doesn't want to marry Romi could be perceived from her POV that he was trying to silence her so she has full right to get angry on Raman.

My sympathy for her situation went out when she started attacking Adi and Ruhi. No matter what if its a serial or in real life I don't sympathize or try to understand other person POV who plays with kids feelings. I don't even consider them worthwhile to spare a minute to think why they did or for what they did because for me they can play and do all sorts of drama with adults but kids are innocent souls no matter what situation you are in they are always off limits as an adult your should only love and protect them.

I understand what you are saying that to love one person you cannot hate another person but for me kids always comes first no matter who it is if they mess with kids I will always have hatred for them even though they may have done so many good deeds in their lives.

Maya,
No, no. I agree with whatever you said about sympathising with Sarika. What I'm trying to say is that nothing will get me (and maybe a few others) to watch the show. Basically because you want undo what they have done to the show and just continue watching. And then because the environment where we could once discuss is just so toxic now that it's very unhealthy.

And secondly, I don't remember if I said this, but once upon a time YHM gave all characters equal importance and focussed on perspectives, that's what made it interesting to me. Now it is just there to glorify it's characters no matter what the outcome or requirement is to do the same.

So, the point was, to some of us, YHM was a phase because we connected to the original plot so much. Unlike a bunch of others, it wasn't an obsession. So, phases go away and people move on. And sadly, I'm not one of the few who would gladly ruin my day over a fictional show - those times are over.

Hi Ara,

I understand where you come from. I didn't watch yhm from starting. I started in the middle of first year and kind of liked the plot and the story was very different and all the characters had equal space with lot of tracks interwoven but everything had a logical perceptive and equal importance was given to both the leads and both the leads were imperfect individual with flaws and all the characters were grey shaded so that I could relate to them no matter be it the lead, villain or side characters those were the good olden days and I went crazy searching for previous episodes once I got hooked in the story.

Now the connection with the story is gone but it is difficult to break the habit of yhm because of the amazing acting skills by the star cast. Now a days its not a craze for me but watch it like a serial with no expectation sometimes I do skip episodes and sometimes I FF some of the scene I don't like and sometimes it gives a feeling of YHM even though it is not up the initial standards.

I do have a tiny hope they would bring back some resemblance to the yhm I feel in love with starting from this year because so far the episodes have been good and IshRa are working together and most of all no Saint Shagun.

I always wrote my reviews on Akanksha, Gan or your thread as of late as no one is opening a thread because of how they handled the show but starting from January they look like they are reviving our old yhm even though it is still not like the old one but they are trying so I am hoping everyone will return as we get our old yhm back with all characters in grey instead of either pure white or black.

Hey Maya, yeah I know, no old member posts reviews now, mainly because the show is not worth reviewing anymore. It does look like they are definitely trying to revive it for the online audience, but the disconnect is so huge, esp. after the bhoot track, that I doubt anyone is going to be able to come back and be active like earlier times. Once in a blue moon like this is more or less what'll bring the old people back in.

I can only say that for myself though. I don't see myself becoming active on the forum anytime soon because I know they'll pull off another idiotic stunt and it'll be a waste of time all over again 😔 but it feels great to know that someone still remembers you out here 😊 Thank you for that 🤗

I'm going to comment as I read.. So here you go.

Is it a Sarika POV OS? I thought Raman, initially, but then he doesn't throw his body up in the air like a toddler, now does he?

I wish he would though

So far, you're proving my point that stories are all about perspectives. One of the reasons I say the post slot change YHM failed to connect. Fan-bots and the lack of perspective. The initial version was so well articulated that it amazed everyone beyond comprehension. This one is just blah, though you may disagree with me here.

THIS IS SO EVIL THAT I LOVE IT. I LOVE THE FEELS IT GIVES ME THE SADISTIC ME. THIS IS GOING TO HURT - SO BAD. I LOVE IT.

He f*ing got her pregnant promising love and an eternal lifetime of togetherness, and then threw her out just like that, like she was a dead fly floating in his cup of tea. - The reason why you are Bae. Subah ki chai and your awesomeness is life.

Haha.. Lol.. Thank you for that Ki 🤗

You are making me grin at 7am on a Friday morning, got anything better? No. This is life.

I don't even watch the show but it hurt me af when I read that Romi said he was okay with Sarika out because 'he didn't even love her', do I even need to elaborate on this? No, right? Because if I do it will be a string of really colorful words which will result in my account being banned.

You, my love, are a little virus. Now, all I want to do is sit and pen a story with Sarika or someone similar but I know I can't and that's heartbreaking. We do not want a another version of Scars (which I am sorry for not updating). Do you know what I find weak - that the evil one never wins. Give me one track where it is not Ishita-is-mahaan centric and I will gladly watch the show. Give me one track, with a strong villian and a gripping plot and I shall watch no matter the plot-holes. But alas, I am asking for too much. As a far supporter for neutrality, and I though the bad guys give me the kick needed, I am a fair believer in the fact that there is evil needed for there to be good and that being a hero doesn't mean that you always do the right thing, it means that you do what you believe is right no matter the consequences. But what am I to do when I'm served what were once well-crafted characters on a platter of moral righteousness with a whole dash of societal garb.

But, thank you for this. I love you, and will get back to the other shots later. :)

Loads of love.

(P. S. I did read you after-note, and all I can say is that the first time I saw Subbu's wife, I saw her as a living breathing incubator. When I see YHM women now, they all look the same to me. It's sad, almost, to see what I once believed as a breather to monotonous relationships on desi TV fall back to the very thing I did not want them to be. But all I am is a disregarded viewer, so why should I bother.)

Ki, sadly that's whats pulled us all away from the show. The brutal massacre of the beautiful, well-crafted characters, and not just the protagonists, but the whole lot around them. Parallel sensible stories, weaving into a central theme. Relatable issues, and justifiable reactions. That will never return. And from my immense experience of desi TV, I've been able to watch every now and then like a TRP aunty, but it'll always hurt to see the butchering because the faces remain the same. The fall of YHM proved once again why I should not watch Desi TV again, despite living in India.

I don't think anyone minded strong grey characters that Ashok and Shagun once were. Everyone was grey, neither black, nor white. Just these two colors hurt my sensibilities, hence I choose to stick to lollipops or TRP humor now.

But thank you for commenting 🤗 Even though you wrote an essay 😆

Nids !! Late ..I know.. but as they say "Better late than never"

Not many people would actually picking up something like this and write so convincingly, especially since Sarika is currently the second most hated character on the show after You Know Who . So for that you deserve ⭐️⭐️👏👏

Him & Him - Loved it ..no names taken.

I have always felt that the Bhalla family has WRONGED her and although that can never be a justification for what she has done, its not shocking or surprising, especially after what she has gone through in life.

So I for one agree with her thought process that you have written so brilliantly.

Nobody knows how humiliating it is for a woman to be weighed in gold for her womb and not her self - Honestly I wish Ishita and Shagun would realize this too. ( I know this is not abt them...but I wish 😲)

She wanted to now prove to everyone she was not insignificant, she had a being and an identity of her own self other than her ability to bear children. ( Once upon a time, this was what Ishita stood for 😭 )

Brilliantly written Nids 👏👏.You already know I am a fan of your writing. 🤗
