Chapter 22

After having dinner, Ishita was sitting in the room disappoint, Raman walked in and saw her pale face.

"What happen Madrasan?" he asked, Ishita liked at him confused, he shook his head and said, "Arey kya hua? Aise muh kyu latkaye hue hain?"

(Raman : What happen? Why you made such face?)

"Woh Raman..." he flicked his eyes to ask 'what'. She continued, "Raman, Simmi ne kaha ki karwachauth mein sargi khana zarori hai."

(Ishita : Actually Raman... Simmi told me sargi is important for karwachauth.)

"Haan!! Toh?" he asked.

(Raman : Okay, so what?)

Ishita sighed disappointedly and said, "Phir mera bhrat pura kaise hoga? Kyu ki mummyji toh..."

(Ishita : Then how can I complete my fast? Because mummyji won't...)

"Arey yaar, itna kyu soch rahi ho? Mein hoon na.." he said while sitting on the bed, next to her.

(Raman : Why are you thinking so much? I am here no...)

"Aapko meri fikar hi nahi hai." she said turning her face another side, Raman made her face him saying, "Mujhe fikar hai. Tum fikar maat karo, kal tum bhrat pura kar paogi."

(Ishita : You don't care about me.
Raman : I do care. You don't worry, tomorrow you will complete your fast.)

" Pakka?"

(Ishita : Promise?)

Raman shook his head and she hugged him tightly.

Next morning, Ishita whole by at 4am and she turned at Raman's side but didn't find him their. She woke up and searched for him everywhere when her eyes went to the door, it was open. Just then he entered with the plate of food.

"Raman Yeh sab..." she asked disbelief.

(Ishita: Raman all these...)

"Taiyar ho jao, mein intezer kar raha hoon." he said when she smiled and went to fresh up.

(Raman: Get ready, I am waiting.)

After getting fresh, she changed into a simple saree and then she walked down and joined him in table. "Raman apne bataya nahi yeh sab kaise?" she asked.

(Ishita : You didn't tell me how did this happen?)

"Baat baad mein karna, pehle kha lo." he said and then feed her with his own hand before the sun rose.

(Raman : Talk later, first have it.)

After finishing her food, she again called him, "Raman.."

"Meine simmi se kaha tha jab ma apne liye khana banayegi tab alag se rakh dene ke liye." he ended, she smiled and hugged him with happy tears.

(Raman : I asked simmi to keep some food aside when ma would make food for herself.)

After that Raman again went to sleep as still he was feeling sleepy whereas Ishita was talking with Simmi about karwachauth.

It was almost 7:30am,simmi took leave from Ishita 's flat, after that Ishita walked in room calling, "Raman uthiye."

(Ishita : Raman get up..)

"Kuch deir aur sone do na!! Waise bhi aaj mera office phi nahi hai, toh please pareshan mat karo." he said irately.

(Raman : Let me sleep some more time. And by the way, I have not office today, so please don't trouble me.)

"Kaise pati ho aap, yaha aapki biwi apke liye bhooki pyasi hai aur aapko sone ki padi hai." she pouted.

(Ishita : What kind of husband you are, I am keeping the fast for you and here you all care about your sleep.)

Raman looked at her once with a smile, but when she looked at him, he closed his eyes. She irately hit him once and got up to leave but Raman held her hand and pulled her making her fall on his chest, "Kya hua? Itna gussa?"

(Raman : What happen? So much anger?)

"Toh aur kya karu?"

(Ishita : What else I would do?)

"Mujhe pyaar." he said while tucking a strain of hair behind her ear. She pushed him saying, "Aapko bas romance karne ka mauka chahiye. Chalo utho." she got up and pulled him up.

(Raman : Love me.
Ishita : You just find a chance to romance with me. Get up!!)

"Aap fresh ho jao, mein aapke liye breakfast banati hoon." Ishita said and war going to leave but Raman said, "Nahi. Rehne do!! Mein breakfast ghar pe kar lunga. Tum aaram karo. Aur waise bhi agar khane ko dekh kar tum khud ko rok nahi pai toh..." he teased her.

(Ishita : Go, get fresh, I will make breakfast for you.
Raman : No. Leave it!! I will have my breakfast at home, you take rest. And moreover, if you wouldn't resist yourself seeing the dishes, then there won't be any meaning of this fast.)

"Kuch bhi bolte ho." she said making a face and pushed him towards washroom.

(Ishita : Anything you say always.)

Raman pushed the door and entered in his house, Toshi jee looked at him but Raman ignored her as many times he was tried to talk with her but every time she denied, now Raman was fed up. He walked in and took a seat on dining table saying, "Neelu, mera nasta de!!"

(Raman: Neelu, serve me breakfast.)

Mrs. Bhalla looked at him and said, "Aaj achanak hamari yaad kaise agai puttar?"

(Toshi jee: How come you suddenly remember about us puttar?)

"Matlab? Aap kehna kya chahte ho?" Raman flicked his eyes.

(Raman: Means? What you want to say?)

"Nahi. Aaj kal toh tu apne ghar se zyada uss ghar mein rehta hai, apni family se zyada uss ladki ko important deta hai. Isiliye pocha!! Hum toh ab tere liye kuch bhi nahi."

(Toshi jee: No!! Nowadays you stayed that house, you gives that girl much important than us, that's why I asked!! We are nothing for you now.)

"Toshiji yeh kaise baat kar rahe ho Raman se." Mr. Bhalla warned her.

(Mr.Bhalla: How can you talk with Raman!!)

"Toh meine galat kya kaha bhallaji." Raman angrily glared at her and left the place when Simmi said, "Mumma aapko kyu Ishita ki achhai dikhai nahi deti? Woh ladki iss family ke liye kya kuch nahi kiya, uss ladki ke wajah se aaj mein khush hoon, usne ek bahu hone ka sare farz nibhaya hai, aur waise bhi Mumma aap mano ya na mano par ishita bhai ki patni hai. Aur aaj woh ek patni ka bhi farz nibha rahi hai, apke bete ko liye karwachauth ka bhrat rakh kar."

(Toshi jee: What wrong I said Bhallaji?
Simmi: Mumma why can't you see Ishita's goodness? That girl did so much for our family. For that girl, I am happy today, she did her all duty being a daughter-in-law and by the way mumma you accept it or not but the truth is Ishita is bhai's wife. And today she is doing a wife's duty too!! She kept fast for your son.)

Mrs. Bhalla looked at her shocked and then managed to say, "Agar woh khudko Raman ki patni manti hai toh yeh uska farz hai."

(Toshi jee: If she consider herself as Raman's wife then it's her duty.)

"Wahh!! Yeh uska farz hai, aur apka kya? Kya apka farz yeh hai ki aap usko apne hi ghar se dur rakho?" Simmi asked.

(Simmi: Wow!! It's her duty and what about you? Is it your duty to keep her away from her own family?)

"Mujhe tum logo ko koi safai nahi deni hai." she sternly said and left, all this conversation was witnessed by Shagun who stood at the gate, as Mrs. Bhalla walked in her room, Shagun said, "Mein aunty se baat karti hoon!!"

(Toshi jee: I don't want to explain you anything.
Shagun: Let me talk with aunty.)

Shagun walked in Mrs. Bhalla's room, she was crying profusely, Shagun sat next to her, "Kya hua aunty?"

(Shagun: What happen aunty?)

"Puttar tu bhi kya mujhe galat samjhegi?"

(Toshi jee: Puttar, do you think I am wrong?)

"Aunty aap Ishita ko apna lo, woh achhi ladki hai."

(Shagun: Aunty please accept her, she is a nice girl.)

Mrs. Bhalla looked at her shocked and said, "Yeh tu bol rahi hai Puttar? Mein teri aur Raman ki shadi ke liye soch rahi thi."

(Toshi jee: Are you saying this? I was thinking to get you married with Raman.)

"Aunty!! Raman ki khushi zyada important hai. Aur woh Ishita ke sath khush hai." Shagun explained.

(Shagun: Aunty!! Raman's happiness is much important and he is happy with Ishita.)

"Mujhe maaf kar de!!" Shagun hugged her.

(Toshi jee: Please forgive me.)

Ishita walked in room and found Raman, Simmi and Shagun were chatting, when Ishita entered, they got silent, "Kya hua?"

(Ishita: What happen?)

"Umm!! Kuch nahi. Tu yaha beith, tere haathon mein mehendi laga deti hoon." Simmi said when Ishita sat with them, Simmi put the mehendi on her hand, and then let it dry, they all were chatting when Raman kept staring at her, she blushed and looked down, a strain of hair came on her eyes, he gently tucked them. "Arey wah!! Kitna romantic ho bhai aap." Simmi said, Ishita blushed and Shagun looked at them happily.

(Simmi: Umm!! Nothing. You sit here, I will put mehendi on your hand.
Simmi: Wow!! You are so romantic.)

In the evening, Ishita walked out from washroom after getting fresh, her phone rang, she received,"Hello!!"

"Akka!! Kaisi ho?" Mihika asked from other side.

(Mihika: Akka how are you?)

"Haan mein theek hoon." she replied.

(Ishita: Yes. I am fine.)

"Achha akka suno na mujhe aapse kuch zaruri baat karni hai."

(Mihika: Okay listen. I have something important to tell you.)

"Haan bolo!!"

(Ishita: Yes say.)

"Woh Abhimanyu aapse milna chahta hai." Mihika informed.

(Mihika: Abhimanyu wants to meet with you.)

"Mujhse? Par kyu!!" Ishita asked confused.

(Ishita: With me? But why?)

"Pata nahi. Mujhe kuch nahi kaha."

(Mihika: I don't know.)

"Achha!! Par aaj nahi, mein tumhe baad mein keh dungi."

(Ishita: Okay but not today, I will tell you later.)

"Okay. Take care." They hang up the call and Ishita went near the dressing table where she found a gift box, "Yeh kisne yaha rakha?" she looked all over the room but didn't find anyone. She then opened the box and found a beautiful red saree!! "Yeh kitna khoobsoorat hai." she praised and put the saree on her shoulder and looked herself in mirror, Raman came and back hugged her.

(Ishita: Who keep it here? It's so beautiful.)

"Raman yeh apne yaha rakha?" Raman smiled.

(Ishita: Raman did you keep it here?)

"Bohot khoobsoorat hai. Thank you." Raman placed a kiss on her cheek and said "Chalo ab jaldi se taiyar ho jao."

(Ishita: it's so beautiful. Thank you.
Raman: Get ready fast.)

Ishita dressed in that red saree, she put light make up with matching ear rings, bangels. After getting ready she came in hall where Raman was waiting for her along with Simmi, Raman came to her and said, "Achhi lag rahi ho!!" she blushed.

(Raman: Looking beautiful.)

After that they went on terrace where Ishita broke her fast after seeing the moon, Raman made her drink water and fed her a sweet.

"Raman.. Mera gift?" Ishita asked.

(Ishita: Raman.. My gift?)

"Tum bhi baki aurat ki tarah ho!! Bhagwan ne itna achha pati gift dia, ussey khush raho." He said in a teasing way, Ishita made a face. After that Ishita, Simmi chatted in her flat for some time whereas Raman left the place. After some time, Ishita walked inside their room, it was completely dark, she called, "Raman..." But she didn't get any response, she then turned on the lights and found, it was empty.

(Raman: You are also like other women!! God gifted you me, be happy with it.)

She searched for him everywhere, but didn't find her, "Kaha gaye Raman ab?" She thought.

(Ishita : Where did he gone?)

Ishita walked out from her flat when she collide with Shagun, "Arey Ishita kya hua?"

(Shagun : Ishita what happen?)

"Shagun tumne Raman ko kahi dekha?"

(Ishita : Shagun, have you seen Raman?)

"Haan!! Mein wohi batane aarahi thi, Raman chadh pe tumhara intezer kar raha hai." She replied smiling.

(Shagun : Yes!! I was coming to inform you that, Raman is waiting for you at terrace.)

"Waha pe!! Achha theek hai." She took leave.

(Ishita : There!! Okay.)

Ishita stepped in and found it was decorated much nicely than before, she called "Raman kaha ho?"

(Ishita : Raman where are you?)

She was mesmerized by seeing the decorations when she felt two hand wrapped her around her stomach, she smiled, "Raman!!"

He kissed on her earlobe, she asked, "Aaj itna pyar kyu barsa rahe ho?"

(Ishita : Why are you showering too much love today?)

"Agar itni khoobsurat biwi mile toh aadmi aur kar bhi kya sakta hai?"

(Raman : If anyone gets so beautiful wife then what else he can do?)

"Achha!! Waise yeh sab kab kiya?" she asked turning at him.

(Ishita: Really!! By the way when did you do all these?)

"Achha laga?" he asked while putting her hands on her waist and pulled her closer.

(Raman: Like it?)

"Haan!! Par apne ek gift nahi dia Raman, waise toh hamesha kuch na kuch dete ho, par iss khas din pe kuch nahi dia." She pouted and turned her face another side, Raman smiled and then placed a necklace on her neck, her face became delight, "Raman yeh?" Raman smiled.

(Ishita: Yes!! But still you didn't give me any gift, you always gave me gifts but today... On this special day you didn't give me any gift. Raman this?)

"Thank you." She said.

Raman looked at her mesmerizingly, Ishita blushed and looked down with closed eyes when he lifted her chin, she slowly opened her eyes and shared an intense eye lock.

Ishita shyly looked away and went near the artificial pond which kept there for karwachauth rituals, she stood aside when Raman followed her and stood behind her, they shared an eye lock through the water where their face reflected. Raman trailed his finger on her arm.

Ishita shyly left from there when Raman pinned her against a pillar and blocked both side with his hands, Ishita smiled with a blush and placed her one hand on his chest and other on his shoulder, he kissed on his forehead.
