Like seriously what the f**k! *pardon the language please but I am so pissed!*

Well, that's a very big statement! If this is the case as per your logic, then Ishita is no different than Shagun Arora and she had already proved so. Raman was rejected by Shagun because of his financial inability and lack of sex appeal. Ishita despite being married and claiming to be in love with Raman was more than happy to friend-zone him. She felt the urge to get intimate with him ONLY when Shagun pushed her towards it. You would say she was reluctant because of her insecurities but borrowing your logic here it can be said that due to her so called invisible insecurities, she was not realizing that she was rejecting the man time and again for the very reason he was rejected in the past.

Two months ago, when the Shagun surrogacy rumors started doing the rounds, I vented out vehemently, raising similar questions. Repeating the same here:

Originally posted by: -Nidoo-

I cannot stop wondering as to why are IshRa even exploring the option of their baby, or rather why are the CVs exploring the option of IshRa's kid?

There could be 2 different reasons:
  1. They want IshRa to have their own biological child, someone they can claim born out of their love.
  2. They want Ishita to experience motherhood in all its physical and emotional sense, and Raman to give her this gift of motherhood.
If it is option 1, surrogacy as an option is fine. However, if it is option 2, which I remember WAS Raman's viewpoint when he gifted her that medical report on their anniversary, then surrogacy itself is not an option, let alone Shagun being there to help. Because Ishita will neither be able to explore those 9 months, nor give birth to the new-born through her own body.

Lets assume its reason 1 - They want Ishita & Raman to have their own biological child. Fair enough, every couple wants that at some point in their life. But if that indeed is the case, why Shagun?

Leave aside Shagun being a shallow woman who left her husband and a 6 months old daughter for the riches, poisoned her son against his father every chance she got, and even tried to use her son's mental condition to her gain. Let us assume she was good at heart, was as saintly as she's shown to be today.

My question is, even if Shagun is the ideal woman out there, how can a wife tolerate her husband's ex-wife bearing her own child? The ex-wife is someone who her husband was close with - physically, mentally and emotionally. This is a huge blow not only to the husband-wife relationship, but also to an insecure woman who thought she's found her destination, and to the broken man whose nighmares of his previous wife were replaced by sunshine. Just the thought of her bearing the child is sickening enough, irrespective of her good / bad traits.

In one of the interviews, DT & Anju Mahendru said that the reason why women connected with this show was because of Ishita's condition. Isn't this plot mocking Ishita & all her struggles, along with Raman's reason & desire of having a kid with her. I understand the TRP audience loves such intense dramatic, improbable tracks. RSA said in one of his interview that this is own of the most progressive shows that's ever produced. But, is it? Progressive is not just tackling infertility & surrogacy at the face of it. What about the emotional consequences of all these issues?

The key binding element of this show, which attracted viewers, is the baseline story - of a scorned, divorced man with a li'l child unable to take of his kid, a woman who cannot bear a child, and a child who has never known parental love playing the cupid for the other two.

While everyone is looking forward to Ishita's pregnancy and IshRa's kid, this is one of the worst ways this is being considered. I'd rather Ishita remain infertile throughout her life, and remain a mother to Adi & Ruhi. This could have been the most beautiful track to this story, considering it sits at the crux of one of the protagonists, or it can go completely wrong.

So the question is, Should IshRa have a baby for Ishita to experience the joy of giving birth for the first time in her life? Or for Shagun to experience the joy of giving birth for the third time in her life?

Sorry about the long rant and harsh words, but needed to get it out of my system. Would love to hear everyone's views on this 😊

Disclaimer: I'm not against surrogacy as an option at all. In fact, I'm a huge fan of advancements in this area, medical as well as societal. However, just the idea of someone's ex-wife carrying his current wife (& soulmate)'s child is abhorrent.

The optimist in me refuses to die, and believes she will NOT become their baby's surrogate ULTIMATELY. But to see them butcher the man that is Raman, to see him thank Shagun for Ishita's child, to see Ishita watch Shagun's baby-bump with HER kid, I don't even have enough strong words to voice my feelings.

Ever since Ishita miraculously got pregnant, thereby making a mockery of infertility, I had adopted the philosophy of one-episode-at-a-time. Stay in the moment. Don't believe in the spoilers. Don't think about the future tracks. Trying not to let negativity seep in. But I failed. Because this kills the very essence of this show.

Two months down the line, despite being a loyal viewer, I have now turned stone-deaf to the venom they're going to spew in the form of TRP driven drama.

I'd rather IshRa separate because of misunderstandings than see this playing out in front of my eyes.

Loved your post, Aani 👏 You said it all!

I am just going to come the the main point. For a channel that promotes feminism, and NAYI SOCH. To use infertility, infidelity, miscarriage and surrogacy as means to gain TRP is DISGUSTING. What are they trying to show? That a woman is not woman enough unless she has her own biological child? That if she is infertile and still happy, its not okay to be so. And she needs to have a baby ? By showing what they are, they are trying to promote that nature is important over nurture. Which contradicts the base of the show, which was exactly the opposite.

I am not mentioning how disappointed I am by the show and the characters. I am just questioning how morally ethical it is to use such sensitive issues that million women go through in this country and even around the world just to earn some numbers on the chart and accounts? How inhuman can this channel get?

If they get the numbers they aren't stopping, that's for sure. And the viewers watching and accepting this will be to blame too. But as viewers who have genuinely loved this show, like it was their own its like being cheated on and SP has lost a bunch of loyal ones.

I hope and pray for the numbers to dip so low, that their arrogance and insensitivity shown towards such delicate matters costs them highly.

Anku thanks for this comment and I understand where you are coming from.

I dont understand what kind of a soch is this too and what they are trying to promote here?

A woman is worth her fertilised eggs else she is nothing, a nobody.

If the case had been reversed and Ishita was the divorced mother of two Raman married who would have went back to her filthy ex for his sperms because Raman shot blanks would it have been okay for him too? Would it have not have hurt his male ego and pride for that to happen, forget pride and ego his self respect would have been fine with it?

Hell no, so why cant the same apply for Ishita?

And to them morals and ethics sadly dont mean anything as long as they have some precious numbers on a stupid chart

Thanks for venting the same thing i want to say. It is so heartbroken to see 1.5 years old show with a lot of things being went through and suddenly destroyed just like tht. Expectation is my crime and dissapointment is my punishment, it is so sad to put your shoes inside ishita's, she just lost her happiness and still on the way trying to cope with it and boom suddenly raman, the one who heal her in every aspect suggesting that pukeworthy surrogacy. Shame on it. It looks like he is trying to tell ishita, you are not complete without the child. It is so depressive to be in that situation, i would rather choose ishita standing up for her own self even she has to be apart from raman so that he would realize how much is ishita worth even without the baby. She already clearly stated that she is complete with raman, ruhi, adi. Please cv's try to understand the situation from every angle of view not only from raman, if surrogacy is the only option why we need to do research and everything just to improve our quality of fertility treatment. It seems like an insult to the medical science and those who work the best just to give women like ishita to feel the experience of being pregnant. Please do respect us as viewers and especially that work in medical field by showing very logical and professional way handling the case.

You literally made me cry. I just can't have any more expectation from this show. you made me cry cos, I really loved this show even after many bad tracks. But, it is gradually turning into hatred after this surrogacy thing. Still, want to hold on with written updates to see what the surrogacy drama leads to.

Hey Tanni, how are you long time?
