What do I say about today's episode?! I'm speechless at the moment.

It was full-on high on drama, thrill, anxiety and suspense. From the first scene till the very end, my forehead was creased and heartbeat faster in anticipation, despite knowing that its a show. Such was the impact it had.

We have bashed left, right and center. For their love of drama, for staying away from logic, for botching up important emotional tracks, recently for copying hollywood. In fact, we, the viewers have such sky-high expectations from the show that we keep getting disappointed every now and then, and forget to give credit where its due.

Today felt like one such episode, which deserves a huge round of applause.

👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Taking an internationally acclaimed action sequence from a famous movie, fitting it into an Indian daily soap's context, adding all emotions so that it is presentable for the Indian TV audience is no mean feat; and this team did it!

Right from the acting, to direction, to stunts, to editing - The execution of this sequence couldn't have been better. I'm clearly bowled over.

This might sound repetitive, similar to yesterday's post, but I feel so over-whelmed at the moment that I don't know what else to say.

Gush on, people! 😃

Bhallas come up to 'SPEED'

Top 10 Highlights of the Day

#10

ACP's preparation. He's a well-balanced man, his head on his shoulders, performing his duties perfectly, even though his sister and nephew are struggling with danger. Loved the hug he gave Sarika after she stepped down.

#9

Ruhi asking Toshi if they're all going to die, and Adi trying to console her while crying himself. A 7 yr old's innocent, scared question, and an elder brother's concern - It was a very small moment, but heartfelt.

#8

Raman trying to pacify Ishita, while she was sharing the bus driving problem with him. Their entire family is in danger, but they have their brains working. I love it when IshRa work as a team.

#7

Toshi's refusal to step down, and her lamenting later on in the jeep. Made perfect sense. Every elder feels that he / she has lived their time and they'd like to see their successors carry on with their life, and here was a mother-grandmother, who was safe, but her son, daughter-in-law and grandkids were not. If anything would have happened to them, she'd have regretted stepping down leaving the kids behind.

#6

Sarika-Rohit, Simmi-Rohit and Simmi-Ananya moments. For every mother, her child comes first. These were such touching moments.

#5

Raman jumping in. How can this not be a highlight! I was so scared for KP in the moment, lest he might fall down, despite having seen all the OLVs and everything. Such conviction.

#4

IshRu at the steering wheel, RaAdi at the gate and the truck approaches. Woah! moment of the day.

#3

Ishita taking the steering wheel in desperation and hitting the barricade. DT was top-notch 👏 Her expressions ranged from from scared to stumbling to a little in control to determined to flabbergasted.

#2

Raman jumping with two kids + Ishita thinking about the third. Such over-whelming scenes one after the other.

AANNDD #1

IshRaRuDi - That one scene said it all. A man's love for his family, children's love for their mother, a woman's love for her family. These four ARE a PERFECT family and it melted my heart so much to see them stuck together in the end, nobody willing to leave anybody. The little eye-talk IshRa had where Raman consoled Ishita by a look, RuAdi's fear and stubbornness for their Ishima and baby, Ishita's "kasam" (Ok THAT was filmy, but given everything else today, I'd let this go). Brilliant, brilliant expressions by all four 👏 👏

BONUS HIGHLIGHT:

Background Score. Super amazing. Perfect match for each scene. Raised the entire situation up several notches.

ADDED Later:

IshRa's shouting match - Towards the end where Raman shouts at Ishita to get up, and she shouts back at him to take the kids. There was so much depth - love, concern, worry, fear. It was such an IshRalicious scene, without even trying to be one 😳 😳 😳

Raman-Romi-ACP's sunglasses, especially Raman's. He stands on top of the jeep, hovering on the edge, literally jumps onto the bus, falls on the bus floor, and his sunglasses are intact 😆 Some style statement RKB 😎

Even though I know Ishita's going to be safe, the precap scared me to bits. They're really going to show a blast.

Nidoo thank the stars that the first thing I thought today when I woke up in the morning - gotta unreserve in Nidoo's post 😆

Like you so aptly said. YHM has been a great show for its major run and we have great expectations and sometimes a bit too many, causing us disappointment since a lot isn't fulfilled. But when such scenes or tracks come in the way, even if the build up is weak and illogical you WANT to appreciate, applaud and pat EACH member of the team of YHM be it the actors or technicians or directors etc for that effort they've put in to make 2/3 episodes totally paisa vasool.

You can see the blood and sweat they have put into the making of these scenes. Those were some daring, difficult stunts to do. For all the woman to skip over from a moving bus into a moving jeep was no easy feat. Yes they are actors and yes they are paid for it. But being on TV has not made them pro at doing stunts they have never had to do. And it was immensely risky to do what they did. For Aly to drive the jeep for so long that way, keeping it in balance with a big bus like that 👏 and KP and DT .. can't say enough about them. It's hard driving a bus and not sure for how long DT rode it, it was commendable that she did it herself even when she had an option to choose otherwise.

Coming to KP. I kinda think his job was the most meatiest and hardest here. To stand on the edge of the jeep and partly clinging onto the bus door to get in everyone out. Balancing himself and the person whose climbing into the car.. it takes effort. And although the speed of both must be slower than what we see on TV. It is still not an easy job to do .

Basically for a TV show to recreate a scene from a Hollywood thriller is not an easy feat. And to do it with this authenticity and precision is deserving of all the accolades.

Coming to the emotional aspect. Such hard times are when the family's unity and love comes to the fore. And today, every relation was tested. And the love of the Bhalla family was brimming.

Some of my most favourite moments

1. Raman and Ishita both love each other, and their family so much. At a time when you know you may lose each other and everyone you love, to be this brave and alert to take over responsibility is no mean feat. And Ishita taking over the bus and Raman taking responsibility without even thinking he could call for help was proof of that.

2. I think Raman has gone through this the second time. When you're safe but your family is not. In the Earthquake incident at least there were more people safe. But here his ENTIRE DAMN family was dancing between life and death. And being the man of the house you have to calm the family, assure them of safety and cannot manage to take one risk lest anyone of them suffer because of that. Plus it ain't a pleasant feeling to fear the loss of your family. Your wife and 2 kids who are your everything. And it was living the nightmare again. A nightmare which was minutes long and not just momentarily there. Him and Ishita being team to save their family 👏

They weren't selfish to bring Ruhi and Adi out first. They pulled out Neelu, then Ananya and the rest out before getting Adi and Ruhi out from there. What must they be doing through.

3. Small moments like Simmi wanting to send Sarika first since Rohit and Ananya were on the car. Both Simmi and Sarika fearing sending the little toddlers over to Raman lest anything happen to them And Toshi's reaction was the most relatable here. She thinks she can't be selfish that the kids who haven't lived a life are still on the bus but she's to go save herself before them. Ishita was driving and the kids would be all alone with no one to just hug them close and reassure them. I could feel the grandmothers love so vividly through the screen in those moments that I get in abundance from my own. 😳

4. The last moments when the family IshRuDi were together. Not wanting to leave each other, not knowing what to do. For Raman to decide what to do then. How to save the children and Ishita all together. Ishita didn't let him come to take over the bus half out of fear that the bomb would blast and half because she was fearful what would happen to him and even the children. Each was thinking about the other here. That eye lock between IshRa, Raman thinking of making Ishita drink water, Ruhi helping. And the hug and tears they shared, although very minute moments, they were able to make you teary eyed

5. Ruhi Adi not wanting to leave Ishita's side.. Raman and Ishita's shouting match and the last moment when Ishita keeps a hand on her stomach 🥺 I just ...

Yesterday was great but genuinely; today was far far better!

The emotions were perfect, the background score was totally in synch...

OMG! This team ... they rob my heart away EVERY SINGLE TIME I see them on screen!

EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY pitch PERFECT 😳

2 moments I loved the most:

IshRa's mini eye lock of reassurance & Ishu keeping her palm over her tummy... I'm dying for Monday to come! Can't wait! 😳

Hi Nidhi,
Thanks for opening the post.

Forgetting all the logic why it happened I enjoyed today episode.

It was well enacted, executed and edited properly👏

I loved small moments of the family caring for each other which makes YHM show more powerful and relatable to the audience

Today episode actually made sense except Ishita no body knows to drive so Ishita was the only one left to take the driver seat even though she did not knew how to handle the bus she has some basic sense of the road and how to keep the steering wheel straight and to maintain speed.

Raman coming on the side of the bus to take the passengers out was beautifully done. I was impressed they send Neelu first this shows how much they value her and the kids one after the other.

I liked how Adi and Ruhi would not leave their Ishima and Raman said to send others don't waste time even though he must be dreading that his kids are still there in the bus.

First they sent Sarika out as she is the new mother and they send Latha out this shows they value help as family members.

I liked when Toshjii said she would not get down leaving her kids that is how Grandma are and her crying she is safe but her kids are not and Romi irritated asking her to be quiet so he can drive was realistic touch.

Simmi finally made her get down but Simmi was still hesitant to get down as kids were there and Raman said don't worry I will get them so she finally got down

Romi driving was excellent he had to keep the balance between both vehicles because Ishita could not adjust.

Iyers and the Shagun were praying and taking solace from near ones that was so realistic even though Mihika knew in her heart that Raman and Ishita would not be able to take the call but was frustrated that they didn't pick up because in a corner of her heart she knew if they picked up they would be safe was so realistic.

Some complain that instead of Raman ACP should have gone into the bus but I don't agree with this decision probably ACP is more trained but the kids were not listening to anyone so Raman had to go in.

Raman tried to take control of the driving but when the driver jumped out of the window there was space for Ishita to take but when Raman tried to take control Ishita didn't have space to move for him to take over that was very well portrayed.

Raman trying to give confidence to Ishita that nothing would happen every one would be safe was nice to watch.

There eye lock and his silent assurance that everything would be fine was nice to watch.

The only thing I didn't like in the episode was he should have made the kids go and they should have remained together. I didn't like Ishita driving alone.

Raman wanted her to come with him to be safe but Ishita wanted all three of them to be safe and she swore on herself for them to get out which was filmy but got the job done.

The last scene was touching Ishita scared and touching her tummy.

Pre cap was interesting lets wait and watch what drama they are going to bring in.

ACP coming in 15 minutes and arranging all the stuff is kind of possible because in emergency situation police are trained to handle all these types of situation in few minutes and they also have siren so the other vehicle would give them space to reach.

Mr.Bhall reaching last was a nice touch because he doesn't have any vehicle so he had to ask for help

Overall the episode was a good one bearing logic how they got there in the first place.
