Television is getting bolder. Where earlier it was a taboo to show intimate scenes between on-screen couples in TV shows, times are changing and romance is being spiced up. Shows likeKaisi Yeh Yaariyan, Qubool Hai etc have showcased steamy scenes between lead characters. Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, took it all a notch higher when a kissing scene was shown between it's lead characters Ram and Priya played by actor's Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. The actors were shown getting steamy and intimate like never before and shared a sizzling chemistry on-screen. Ram and Priya's kissing scene had to be edited, following a controversy but the makers can be credited for at least taking a bold step as such and pushing the envelope.
We were expecting the lovemaking scene between Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's Raman(Karan Patel) and Ishita(Divyanka Tripathi)to be steamier than Ram and Priya's from BALH. Instead, we were left dissapointed and wanting for more. Where Ram and Priya's consummation scene had the right chemistry and spark, Raman and Ishita's camaraderie lacked the same and came across as mechanical, forced. Raman was seen kissing Ishita's forehead, her eyelids, her hands and blah blah. Basically, the entire sequence was typical and predictable. Right when we expected something to take us aback, Raman and Ishita git under the covers and continued their business. LOL, might as well show two flowers instead eh?
