"Your perspective on life comes from the cage you were held captive in."
Shannon L. Alder
It was a beautiful episode of delving into the inner workings of the couple whose past afflicted insecurities came forth again due to the circumstances and tainted their otherwise secure relationship. His doubts about women's fidelity and her feelings of inadequacy in being desirable enough again were aroused thanks to Ashok's and Shagun's words.

Raman has witnessed many a times and has been through a betrayal in the past because of women's frailties in the face of financial security and social ladder ...today he again witnessed one in front of his eyes where he found Mrs Tandon in the arms of Ashok...the one half of the same Tandons whom he had seen happily married with kids...and then egged by Ashok's words he was caught up in a fight between his heart and his brain..In his heart he knew Ishita was not one of those women who'd sacrifice family for a financially secure life and he said it to Ashok too ...yet somewhere deep down he lacked conviction somewhere...he's afraid of past repeating in his present because of the recent financial struggles they are facing due to the 15 Crore payment to Param. The question may arise, doesn't he trust Ishita? I believe he does...but then he's human too...Once bitten, twice shy. He has also seen how even his close knit family behaved when their financial security was in jeopardy...and Add to that the fact that Ishita is much more to him than Shagun was to him...if Shagun's betrayal left him shattered...Losing Ishita was a scary prospect. It was an electric scene of taut emotions of a man struggling between his trust for Ishita on one and with Ashok's implications and his own demons on the other. Beautifully enacted by both Karan and Sangram.👏
Little did she know how it looked from her husband's vantage point, who was set in his tunnel vision mode too, thanks to Ashok. Another poignant scene made palpable by on dot expressions of Divyanka and Karan...His struggle on seeing her dressed as 'the socialite' ... her shy anticipation turning into shock to finally being crestfallen when he rebuked her for her choice of outfit and then nonchalantly asked her to accompany him to the party...their every expression just was perfect!👏
And the ride of silence...rather deafeningly silence as each was caught up in their web of insecurities, and yet strong feeling of possessiveness as all they both wanted was being accepted by other...
Poignant episode.
Loved the beginning scene between the parents and Rinki too.
And does it make me sick that I was so happy to see the original Kameena Ashok..the one who always played with Raman's impulsive, emotional nature, back? 😳😆
