Hi Gan, once again awesome collages that have captured Ishita's pain. And title of the post is so so apt ! Darare, cracks arising in the family. Why ? Because of one person's avarice and other people's misunderstanding !
I love the comfort and friendship that Raman and Bala share. The way Raman pulled Bala's legs. The wonderful relationship shared between Ishita and Vandu and Ishita and Bala. All of it so beautifully portrayed.
Thankfully, Bhallaji did sit down to dinner with all when Ishita asked him to, and his invitation to Bala to join was sweet. What I found so disconcerting was, when he did not react to Raman saying more than us Papaji misses mom ! He just kinda remained all stoic. What I am not able to fathom is why as a father has he not tried to breach the divide that has sprung up between him n his eldest son.
Then Romi walks in and spews his venom ! Against Ishita, against Raman, against Mihir, and against Bala.
What he said about Ishita was uncalled for, especially after he was the one responsible for most of Iyer family woes, be it the MMS of Mihika, be it Bala getting the sack or be it Appa getting arrested for stealing ! They forgave him, and here he is calling her fake, all on the basis of half heard conversation and the venom spewed by a avaricious sister !
Why was Mr. Bhalla quiet when he heard his younger son spewing venom against his oldest daughter in law ? Selective mutism ? Selective defense ? If he could defend his daughter, why did he not get Romi to stop spouting the utter rubbish that he was ? Goes to show, however much Ishita does, she will always be the daughter in law n the position of the daughter / son will always be higher than her, even if the daughter / son is wrong !
I loved the way Raman comforted Ishita, and I really felt so sorry for her when she kept blaming herself that may be she is lacking something in herself ! Raman was her pillar of strength yesterday. I loved the way Raman rebuked her to not cry for people who did not deserve her tears !
Mihir, is such a wonderful wonderful guy. The way he tried to reason with Romi and then realized it was not the right time and not worth the effort. His talking calmly n rationally to Rinki ! Defending Raman ! And promising to fulfill her materialistic desires !
Romi suddenly deciding that only Sarika, Rohit and him comprised a family ! Wonder, why he never thought of Simmi, Ananya and his parents ? Puttar n Biwi always put everyone before themselves, n here Romi n Sarika suddenly decide that it is the three of them against the world !
I am enjoying this track, though heartbreaking, it is something that most Indian families would relate to.
I have to appreciate the amazing writing and story line ! Thank you Ms. Jaffer n the rest of the team ! You deserve the applause and kudos !
Last but not the least a huge round of applause and tip of the hat to the cast, KP, DT, Aly, Raj, Resha, Shireen and the rest of them. They made a track that could have fallen flat, so amazing by their portrayal of raw emotions ! Take a bow guys, there is no one better than u on Indian television today !
