Screening - Mera Desh Pehle - The Untold Story Of Shri Narendra Modi
Two people who have always put others before themselves were mercilessly ignored, insulted and defamed. Ishita and Raman lived for the family, loved them unabashedly, fought for them, for their needs, for their dreams and had to witness this day where they now have to battle it out against those very own people fighting a lost cause. Their love, their care was tossed down, annihilated in front of their very own eyes and was reduced to ashes.
IshRa - My heart goes out to them. What are they made of? All they know is to love. People say love gives you strength. It gives you courage to stand tall amidst all the chaos surrounding you. It supports you and holds you from falling. For them, this is turning out to be their biggest flaw. Their family is their everything. Raman nurtured it with his flesh and blood and Ishita fulfilled her share of responsibilities. Both went out of their ways to provide for the family. At all times, it was that family before everything, even before them. Today, when one of them was hurling abuses, casting aspersions on them, not one from the family opposed it. Yet then, Ishita was blaming herself for this. That it might be her fault at some point of time which made Romi react the way he did. I am astonished at her benevolence. She proves to be the perfect better-half for Raman who is as much selfless as him. Raman is right. It is futile to shed tears for those who are inconsiderate disrespectful. One MU and everyone conveniently choose to forget the countless good deeds, innumerable sacrifices done by them. Not one, not even the head of the house has an inclination to get to the root of the problem.
Mr. Bhalla - I do not know how to interpret his actions for the past few days. He was supposed to be a level-headed man with an understanding of the world. His life's experiences are more than the combined age of Raman and Romi. Despite that, he fails to discern the happenings in his own house and the behaviour of his own blood. I may try to attribute his anger on Raman on the first day of this MU to Raman's conduct with the daughter of the house as he was not subject to the entirety of the situation at that point of time. Later, did he attempt to get into the crux of the matter? Did he try to speak to any of the spectators of the scene? He is angry with Raman and doesn't want to have a talk with him, well and good, What about Ishita? Mihir? or Rinki herself? If he has the authority as the head of the house, then why didn't he consider it as his responsibility to sort out the matter? He is the eldest and isn't that his role to keep the family together? Today he was guilty of his parenthood towards Raman who wan't even at fault. Where was his righteousness when Romi lashed out at his son, daughter-in-law, Bala and Mihir who were elder to him? "Band karo aur apne kamre me jao" - is this what he could utter? Sorry, I cannot argue for him. He was wrong today.
Romi - Well, what can I say? Quintessential spoilt brat. I was pleased to see a changed Romi after many many months but looks like my happiness is short-lived. He practically destroyed Mihika's life with that MMS, ruined MiMi's relationship, wrecked Bala's career which led to his diminished self-confidence, taking away little joys from their life, leading to compromises in each and every step Vandu and Bala take. Vandu wasn't ready to have a baby that they were planning all along due to this sudden financial instability they encountered. Left Sarika at the alter after knowing that she was pregnant, teamed up with Shagun and put the theft blame on Appa (though this was unintentional, it was his foolishness). I could go on and on about his deeds. Now that he is all changed and ready to earn and establish himself, he expects everything to be according to his plan, according to his convenience? He is finding fault with his brother who was like a father to him, his bhabhi who was with him after all the mess he has created for her family, maligned Bala who chose to forgive him after damaging his perfect life and slandered Mihir calling him bhai's chamcha. Wow!! I should clap for him or what? A change in a person is not only trying to build one's future but also owning up to your past mistakes and promising yourself not to commit them again. What we see in Romi cannot be called that. Now, I am even obliged to think that he married Sarika as he didn't have another option and not because he realized. Call me a narcissist.
Mihir - If there is one character in YHM world that was true to its nature until now, it is Mihir. Raman and Ishita also cannot be counted. Mihir - the most reliable, dependable and responsible person. Also a character that is undermined and disregarded as the shadow of Raman Kumar Bhalla. He makes his presence felt at the slightest of sequences and leaves an imprint so strong that you are compelled to notice him each time he is on screen. He grows on you slowly and steadily. What a fantabulous character beautifully sketched out. His loyalty towards Raman, respect for Ishita at the cost of his self-respect are laudable and commendable. I am amazed at him. I am actually out of words to narrate his attitude over the past few days. He deserves a standing ovation today.
The performances were exceptional by all of them. Episodes like these restore our faith in the writing, writers and remind us why we are still sticking to the show after all the crap dished out at us.
P.S. Sorry for the length. Long post after a long time and not proofread😳

I am copy pasting what I have written in another thread - a lot echoing what you have pointed out as well!Bhallaji saying to Bala Punjabiyon ke ghar jo bhi khane ke waqt aata woh khaan khake jaata hai- lol, just 2 days ago, he did not even want to buy veggies for Raman and Ishita and their kids😆Today again Bhallaji was a mute spectator when Romi was saying all those rude things to Ishita and Mihir. He never tries to understand what the issues are. Just all have to behave well...bas😆When Raman used to say Get Out to Ishita, he never said a word and all of a sudden he is worried for Rinki without even bothering to find out what did she say?It is a lesson for Raman too - all his get out and dafa ho jao to Ishita, he himself does not show respect to his wife, how can he expect others to do so?Romi needs to earn his bread. And how the hell does he expect business from Bala- the man he had destroyed by ruining his reputation, his job and also Vandu got demoted and they went thru such trying times financially!Romi has done nothing but created problems and have been bailed out by Ishra, now he is so ungrateful. He could have just asked Ishita and that Sarika is adding fuel to fire.A BIG lesson for Ishra - they need to start focusing on their own lives, away from these constant ungrateful haddis.Rinki will learn her lesson soon - she may end up losing Mihir - now being Raman's sister, Mihir is forced to live with her tantrums and unreasonable demands... but she is making his life miserable, nagging him constantly! She should start working so she understands the importance of hard work instead of loitering around with fake friends!😆Chalo this track has a lesson for all and an eye-opener for Ishra
