I'm very empathetic to mental illness, but they aren't showing that here - yes he is grieving but he is cold, calculated, & manipulative. Whether Subbu is Sujata's puppet or vice versa...he can't claim a mental illness to get out of it.

Given his compulsive lying history, anger issues, and now this revenge plot...I'd say he could have elements anti-social personality disorder.
