Oh I agree completely. There was absolutely no need to dumb any of the characters down this much for the 7:30 slot, but they've done it. With this track, I unfortunately have started to get similar feelings for YHM as I have for other desi soaps. I just keep up bc I like the acting team, need a good chuckle, and hold out a minuscule but of hope that we'll get another good track after this.

As always...all we can hope is after this "messy" track, they show us something worthwhile that pays respect to the characters & story they built and not more nonsense. But the chances of that are pretty slim. 😔

You are right, dumbing down Raman and the rest of the clan makes Ishita appear like a superwoman, whereas for the most part she has stayed in her character. Well, that's my major problem. There is a complete lack of balance in the characters and storytelling. This show did have it right in the beginning, maybe that's why its hard for me to accept it the way it has become now.

Honestly, I cringe whenever Ishita says "Mujhe hi kuch karna hoga ab". I cringe when she stops from communicating details with the others. I cringed when she told Raman let's not share these details with the family or Simmi yet, let's wait some more. I get it that the makers have her do all that and Raman behave like a jerk so that she can be the sole problem solver in the end. So now according to the latest news reports, Raman will once again be in a mess, and Ishita will once again be his savior. Wash, rinse, repeat.🤢

Aani, same boat as you. Its become a habit for me too, that's why I endure everything they dish out, how much ever crappy it may be. I am so hooked to the show now that letting go is not coming easily.

Yesterday I caught up on the SPA Bemisaal 15, they showed a glimpse of the first Ruhi custody case where the judge asks Ishita what is your relationship with the child, followed by Ishita's touching speech. Not only her whole girl-next-door appearance with the simple salwar-kameez, minimal makeup and hair-do, but the overall conduct of the scene, without any dramatic flash-zoom-shocks, was so endearing to watch.

I do agree about the other shows having it a lot worse than this one. I occasionally catch a scene or two while flipping channels and I feel really sad to see that the state of Indian televion today. I think YHM has long since joined the bandwagon of these run of the mill soaps.

Hi Uttara, yes sometimes they say the "madrasan/madrasi" word where it can be easily avoided. Frankly, I only don't mind it and in fact like it when he says it in his husky, sexy voice in their bedroom while romancing.😃

Anticipating more "raita phailaana" this week. Bring it on!😆
