So finally found the time to pen my thought' on tonight' episode.
Adi and Ruhi are getting cuter by the day and its so sweet to see that the bond between Ishita and Adi is getting stronger by the day, while the boy is still very attached to his mom too...lets see how long this lasts. Perhaps the kidnapping plot will change things IF it takes place cause I really doubt about Ashok going through with things, not because he would have a change of heart at the last moment but because the guy' times have changed drastically, when a man avoids bankers he is in trouble, BIG TIME. Still Shagun is counting on him, if I had just begun watching this show I would have wondered where are her brains...since I have the fortune/misfortune of being acquainted with her for a while now, this delusional buffoonery doesnt really even bring about a blip on the radar. 🥱

Though I am getting tired of the same lines by Shagun - main Ishita ko nahi chhodungi, usse barbaad kar doongi, when the writer is zoning out I suppose she just copy pastes the words and we see rinse and repeat.

Coming to the highlight of the episode - IshRa & the party.

I loved it that Raman found himself in Ishita' shoes in such a short amount of time and while he was cool enough to allow Ishita to become friends with Subbu again, to ensure she has her closure, its bothering him visibly to hear how she was close to another man once upon a time. We have seen Ishita in this situation earlier, so watching Raman there tonight was like completing a circle of sorts for me.

The way Ishita was all praises for her in-laws and her husband, the way she called Ruhi & Adi her kids was simply heartwarming,

BUT, what to me was the most important aspect of this episode is divided into two things - the pros & the con.

The con first - Really? These people are a bunch of educated modern, forward thinking lot, I get it but are they blind and idiots, in that order? Who asks a woman on a wheelchair to dance in the first place? Next even if they want her to just do the jiggy sitting on her chair, why, why in the world would they insist that she dance with her Ex, when they clearly now know they have broken up and she' married another guy, who happens to be right there! Why play what is their song and try to make them relive the memories of their past, repeat their romantic dance again when clearly there' no romance left there, cause they have split, like duh Sherlock, does it need to become any more obvious? 🤪 Really I was like WTH, had they asked her to croon I would have not batted an eyelid, legs and singing dont have any connection - dancing and feet do 😳

The pros - there were 2 pros for me tonight.
  1. The reality aspect of the gossiping, back-biting that was shown, yes even so -called friends bitch and gossip about you when all they are doing is apparently discussing you and even when no one knows anything, people make up stories, weave tales as was shown today trying to decipher things and pick apart someone else' life as was shown. Why did Ishita marry Raman and not Subbu - was it the money, the status that lured her, family pressure or something else. Apparently the world can only have a very cynical view of you, even without knowing you.
  2. The UGLY and I mean brutally, UGLY stigma of a divorcee remarrying - even a MAN who' divorced remarrying again was raised in such a fantastic way. Our society takes pride in moving forward today - they think remarriages of widows, abolition of practices like Sati and right to education for the girl child, save the girl child campaigns have made them modern, but, when the question of someone wanting to have a second chance at their life happens to be raised, its still a sort of a social stigma, a taboo which raises eyebrows. Had Ishita married Raman, who was single without any past, without his baggage of being a former divorcee and a father of two, it would have still raised some eyebrows elicited a few whispers but eventually it wouldnt have been considered as such a tawdry thing. The fact that Ishita, a woman who was single and obviously not lacking options, as per them or otherwise, married a divorcee who also happens to be a father of two was distasteful to her so-called friends.
Makes you wonder does education really make a difference to the mindset of people?

One on hand we saw this very bunch trying to persuade Ishita, a wheelchair bound Ishita to shake a leg with her ex, knowing her husband is present with her and on the other hand those very people made it seem like what Ishita has done by marrying a divorcee is rather tacky - as if the only reason and intent that she could have had in marrying a guy like him would be his money - because of course, what man with a past can be a perfectly nice person - flawed and damaged, he may be but he is 'untouchable' in their minds and a guy who' single has to be a perfect prince charming who would sweep you off your feet.

A man is gallant or crude to someone only based upon what they know on the surface - but do surfaces really reflect what's on the inside?

Would these very friends if they learn someday in the future, shun Subbu if they learn that Ishita didnt dump him for a richer man who came with a truckload of baggage because of his position and status, rather she was dumped for something beyond her control?

Would Raman then be a hero to them that they would like to associate themselves with should they learn that he has found it in himself to love a woman for who she is and not viewed her as a baby-making machine?

It remains to be seen, hope that one day we do actually see something on these lines frankly.

Very well put Aani.. Loved your take.. I too would want to understand the same thing about Ishita's so called 'friends'. If they come to know that Subbu had dumped her like a hot potato for some reason beyond her control and Raman was the one who had accepted her and is very much in love with her for the person she is will they Shun Subbu.. I think no.. Perhaps they would come up with lame reasoning that Raman was a divorcee and already had kids so he married Ishitha.. I really don't appreciate this aspect of our society where remarriage of a man or woman is still considered a stigma..
Anyway happy that Subbu and all of Ishu's so called lunatic dentist 'friends' will realize that Ishita is really happy now with Raman after seeing their mind blowing dance tomorrow..

After reading ur thgt..Till now Adi is taking IshRa & Shagun equally...loving them seen well how he loves shagun also...equally Loving IshRa...is this shagun's plan which she wants to make ruhi & adi far from her..is going to cost her more...like till now its equal but what in future...like simmi said everytym she pokes her nose its her lost..will this in end again going to cost her...

Beautiful Take Aani..
when they were speaking about all this ..its very easy to speak & say things about others...but people dont know he facts ..facts of there life is know who is living that life..its very easy to pt fingers...how they were talking about she left subbu...but they dont know the reality that really happens...people speak about it but real truth is well know who is living this...

so much they talked about subbu used to love her very much giving blood for her...but when real time of test came in there life he stepped out..& left ishita alone...
its not about education or non-education...the mindset of people like rinky studied in australia & still couldnt think beyond her limit of thgt & raman gave her a to think more openly...

its quite same..where one side they wanted she dances with ex- other side they couldnt get her marrying man who has two children...

This Subbu angle is bringing out interesting parallel's ...yes like u said its looks full-circle...it is giving more sense in terms of storyline..like Raman had a past he came out...Ishita had a past she came out of that,..these two individuals who r broken r finding there journey of life together now with each-other's help
like Ishita said about life giving u another chance to live...finding anew self or urself...that what Ishita has found with Raman...the Ishita now is of Raman's Ishita...
the precap dance makes it more interesting when people said about how they made romantic good couple...but Now its Raman who know this Ishita can handle...its interesting how subbu left the stage in precap..
im so looking forward to c what made Raman landing there on stage...
