Ranjan has been able to go from Ambassador dealership to the most successful Maruti franchise in the nation, not by apologizing to everyone, not compromising his judgment
What he may have done at Le Meridian 4.5 years ago as an individual has no connection to his leadership skills, namely communication, honesty, commitment, creativity and the biggest of all INTUITION
He makes concessions for family, yes he does look the other way, yes he is unable to articulate his opinion when he sees unlawful behavior, ALL in his own time.
This is the first time he ever involved his son in such weighty decision making. He treated his son as an equal. R&B provided his inputs objectively (irrespective of how this word has been abused recently). R&B made a compelling , impressive analysis. Rejecting it under the garb of protecting his nephew is like playing hardball, acting aggressively and ruthlessly without a reason.
He didn't want to curry favors with R&B. R&B will never come to know every detail of how Ranjan resolved this, Chachu will never come to know R&B's ROI model was key to Ranjan's decision making. R&B will never tell Ranjan what Samar was upto at night in Patna. R&B's intellect is for Ranjan's taking. It wont come with the emotional baggage of "love affection and concern for Dad". He will accomplish the task handed, like he were an employee
THAT DEMON Ranjan has to deal with unfortunately...
I said in a previous post, Ranjan is not bechaara nor is he an idiot. He doesn't need to grandstand.
He has a lot of admirable qualities. Nobody is all black or all white
Bala is the best son in law, but he doesn't want his wife to quit her job, money is important to him
R&B is not the best son in law but II has unimaginable freedoms as a wife, even freedom to reject husband's wealth
Ranjan may not be making every attempt to patch up with his son, but his intellect and shrewdness at work are not impacted by it at all
