I read those fitness posts you made. I FULLY UNDERSTAND and am empathetic with your concerns over a healthy life, I am just frustrated that everywhere we look we are being told "Being size zero is the way to go"
I know many will argue "I am very smart I dont believe such messages, so I dont care"
But I worry for parents of teenagers, I have boys they are like me, they will eat books (Joey from Friends). or socks (Just US). But I see all these shows NOT ONE leading female kid is anything over a size zero. Every commercial break they talk about "This is my life" "Disney Friends for Change etc" where they build schools in Bogota Columbia
HOW HARD IS IT to hire a female kid thats a size 8 or 10 to play the lead part? My friend that I went out to Chuck e Cheese with her daughter and niece refused to eat french fries because Arianna Grande is skinny, french fries will make "you fat"
A coworker of mine has three daughters the oldest is the age of my teenager, there was a Costco cake for someone's Bday two weeks ago, almost 2/3rds was left over, I brought half and she took home half
She said it sat there until Sat and she threw it out coz not one of her girls would "touch it"
They are all between 16-12, on Tuesday at the Bday for the coworker. she took a SLIVER and pasted ALL THE ICING on the edge of the paper plate, and just ate the bready part...😲
She constantly tells me "OH I WILL EAT ANYTHING"😡
By Friday evening the entire cake was gone in my house...
I worry for the future generation of girls they have absolutely the WORST role models on TV and in cinema and in public life
From Fox to NBC to ABC all the female newscasters anorexic... and they are supposed to have brains larger than Disney leading ladies
How utterly sad
