"10 off-screen clicks of the best on-screen couple never to be missed"
As she sat scrolling through the off-screen clicks of her and her on-screen partner, she slips down the memory lane reflecting on the statement that had now become the trademark definition of their relationship :
"Nothing will change between us"
There was their friendship day selfie where they were displaying the bands they had gifted each other. They had finally become friends.
Their dynamics was far from cordial in the initial days, after all they were opposites in almost every manner just like their on-screen character.
It is strange how their on-screen character was so much similar to their off-screen nature and also the on-screen animosity reflected in the off-screen life or the other way around.
But one has to admit that the off-screen tiff between them in the initial days kind of helped in improvising the on-screen fights.
He was friendly with most of the other cast members and friendship came naturally to her.
Yet for some reason they were not friends with each other.
She tried to analyse what held them back from extending a hand towards the other.
Reason 1# She hated people who made her wait
She chuckled as she remembered the incident when she had decided to reprimand him for the same. She was fed up with his late coming habit. It was against her nature to confront, but she was so pissed off after waiting for hours that eventful day that she decided to teach him the worth of time.
She completely lost it when she saw him enter carelessly scrolling through his phone.
'What kind of a person is he? He does not have an inch of guilt of making others wait. Disgusting' she thought and approached him
"Aap kaise hain..."
she had just started confronting when he looked up from his phone and said,
"Mai theek hun. Tum kaisi ho?"
Her mouth hung open at his reply 'Oh God! This man! Isko samajh me bhi nahi aya ke mai isko daant rahi hun'
"Madam shot ready hai" a spot boy announced to her as she stood rooted to her spot.
"Ab der nahi horahi?" he asked winking.
'Urghhh...so he knew I was confronting him...He is just impossible...Nothing will change between us' she thought as she got ready for the scene.
Reason 2#His habit of smoking and her allergy to smoke
After about a month or so, she had come to realise that he was not that bad. His bonding with the other co-actors told her that she could also have him in her friend list. Many a times she had thought of going ahead and starting a cordial conversation with him but his habit of pulling a smoke anywhere and everywhere kept her away. Her body reacted strangely to the smoke and she was forced to keep a distance.
Initially she had taken the issue lightly but when her health started worsening due to the continuous smoke around, she was compelled to take the matter in her hands.
Obviously she was not comfortable talking to him about it, so she got a no-smoking board and placed it at the spot where most of their shoots took place. She expected him to understand.
He was clueless about her allergy to smoke. So when he found the No-Smoking board, he assumed it to be a prank by any of the co-stars and deliberately pulled out a cigarette and started smoking.
Finding him beside the very board, puffing out the smoke generously had her temper rise to the horizon.
She raged out like a bull and yelled "Being Human band pehenne ka kya matlab hai jab aap me itni si bhi humanity nahi hai. Ek to der se aake apne co-actors ko pareshan karte ho. Doosron ki waqt ki khadar nahi, kam se kam unki sehath ka to khayal kar liya hotha. Yahan mai soch rahi thi ke we could be friends. But now I think it's just impossible."
She coughed furiously and continued "Nothing will change between us"
The cigarette had slipped his fingers the moment she had started yelling. He was taken unawares and he stood dumbfounded unable to comprehend why he was being yelled at.
When she went back coughing more, he registered what he had done and immediately crushed the source of all the mishap.
During the scene, he sensed that she had lost her voice. On realisng that he was the cause for her sufferings, he was ashamed and wanted to apologise. But she would not talk. She was extremely upset.
"Sorry (You know who😉)... Actually kaan pakad ke sorry"
he wrote on his twitter page and tagged her.
She was surprised to find his public apology.
From what she had known about him, he was a very private person. He never shared things publicly unless it was really important.
She was definitely touched.

It all began from there! She smiled fondly at the memory.
After that day, she had never seen him smoking on set.
No, he had not quit smoking. That would be next to impossible.
But he had found an alternative. He would step everytime he needed a smoke.
She was now ashamed of what she had said to him the other day. He was literally being human by doing this for her.
She needed to apologise too.
No, she didn't go to twitter apologising publicly.
They were different you see!!!
She got a thank you band and tied it on his wrist.
"Thank you and sorry for the other day" she said.
"Do you still think Nothing will change between us" he winked and she smiled.
