The episode was a SOB-FEST, in the least... And no, today I am not writing the review as per the sequence of the scenes in the show...
Time and again I have addressed Shagun as a vamp, troll, witch, bitch, airhead, and so on. But what she did today cannot be expressed in a mere word or two. Not only did she not care to find out about the class notes from Ruhi's friend (Tanvi) for the class her daughter missed, but she also manipulated Ruhi and tricked her, into agreeing to bunk school for a good ONE WEEK. Shagun toh hai hi aisi - irresponsible and selfish. Narcissist. But then I was so so touched by how Ruhi remembers EVERYTHING Ishita says or does and all that her Ishima has taught her. "Par Ishima kehti hain ki bacchon ko school miss nahin karna chahiye" Shagun said if she didn't agree to perform in the ad, Raman's job might be at stake. Ridiculous. Aisi bhi auratein hoti hain duniya mein??😡
But it seems no matter how much Shagun tries to fool Ruhi and make her do her bidding, her daughter doesn't give up without a fight...without questioning her ways of parenting (albeit, silently and very politely). "Ruhi beta...tum Ishita ke bare mein itna kyun sochte ho? Tumne dekha naa usne court mein kaise behave kiya? Who tumhare bare mein care nahin karti. Beta usne toh tumhen Navratra ki pooja mein bhi nahin bulaya...ab socho naa...uske paas toh dada dadi hain, Raman hai, sab koi hai...akeli toh MAIN hun...isliye main chahti hun ki tum mera support karo." After Adi, now Ruhi will have to bear the brunt of 'supporting' her 'akeli Shagun Mamma'...
Now, here is the bit where I have a grouse. Shagun is a tramp and will pull ANY trick in the book to manipulate her children. She did that with Adi for 6 long yrs, and she'll continue to do that with Ruhi too...but then she's right about ONE thing. Why haven't the Bhallas INVITED Ruhi for the Navratra Puja?? If Ishita is worried and apprehensive that Ruhi might not listen to her, ATLEAST Raman OR Toshi ji COULD have gone to Mihir's place and invited Ruhi for the Puja...I mean, this is the kind of hawabazi pyaar I talk about in my posts these days... I distinctly remember Toshi ji going to fetch Adi back into the house, after he and Shagun left the house in a huff...taking their belongings with them...Why couldn't she have done the same for Ruhi?? Adi bacha tha, toh Ruhi bhi toh bacchi hai naa... And Raman??? I still have a problem with him not ACTIVELY doing something to bridge the growing distance between his wife and his daughter...
And so, the result of this lack of initiative was that - when Ruhi DID arrive in Bhalla House, she saw a smiling Ishita applying tika on Ananya's forehead and performing the ritual, with a lump in her throat...am DAMN sure, she had come to meet her mother...maybe thinking ishita will probably be waiting for her to start the Puja or smething...but to see her mother go ahead with it without a trace of missing her, made Ruhi feel Shagun's words were right. Her Ishima really doesn't care about her... In the court, it was Adi she preferred...and today, it was Ananya she preferred... Neelu announced Ruhi's name...and Ishita who was about to break her fast, looked back - startled and teary-eyed...An overconfident Toshi invoked Mata Rani AGAIN and said, "Maine kaha tha naa...Ruhi jaroor aayegi" Yaar USKE aane ka wait kyun kar rahe the tum log?? Use personally jake BULAYA kyun nahin?? And so when Ishita lvingly called Ruhi towards her, and tried to apply the tika on her forehead, Ruhi backed out saying, "Nahin...main sirf apna saamaan lene aayi thi" I don't blame Ruhi today...jo use dikha, wohi sach tha uske liye...why and how should she rack her brains too much to find out anything else brimming under the surface?? None of the Bhallas made a concerted move to TALK to her, FETCH her home...I HATE to say this, but I have this nagging fear in my mind - kahin Ruhi aur Ishita hamesha ke liye door na ho jaye...
Vandita - my darling in the show...I was RIGHT. She is a tigress, feisty, ferocious... "Maine kaha tha isse ki yeh Ashok ke saath na rahe...phir bhi kitni stupid hai...usne itna bada sacrifice kiya..." And then she spilled the beans...why Mihika married Ashok in the first place (saving Mihir from landing in jail and to get him to testify in court so that Ruhi's custody could be granted to Ishita)... "Ashok ka uspe pressure badhta hi raha...Mihika ne shaadi toh kar li, lekin kabhi Ashok ko husband ke rights nahin diye...who parties mein sab intimacy wagairah, sab fake tha...Mihika ne pregnancy ka naatak tak kiya taki Ashok use tang na kare...lekin jab Ashok ko sach ka pata chala...toh usne Mihika ka yeh haal kar diya.." Ishita and Amma, Appa are shocked...so is Mihir... I am 200% sure CVs read the posts on IF kyunki yeh explanation jo LONG-DUE tha who unhi shabdon mein diya hai jin shabdon mein IF ke posts likhe jaate hain😆... Sample this: Mihika's dialogue, when Ishita glorified her sacrifices and apologized to her.. "Nai Akka...ismein aapki koi galti nahin hai...maine bhi toh kayi saare decisions akele liye...kisi se kuch nahin kaha" WE HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL...CHALO, ant bhala, toh sab bhala...😃
I am glad they have also heeded our request of getting Amma-Appa back from hiding...but I don't understand how Mihika's mother is ALWAYS absent...I mean, does she have NO clue what's going on in her daughter's life?? Even going by the show's standards of ludicrity, this is kinda impossible to digest...
I really loved seeing the three sisters bond - even if its over Mihika's stupidity, her sacrifices, the mess she's in...whatever... Ishita apologized to Mihika...for leaving her alone to face all of this torture alone... What I liked best about her speech was, when she decided they are never gonna be away and alone ever...they'll always be together...since when they're not in touch, Ashok tries to take advantage of the same... I wanna see what Ishita will do to teach Ashok a lesson..
I even understand Mihir wanting to have a word with Mihika...in private... talking to her, consoling her, making her feel better and all... but then I DO NOT AT ALL AGREE with it, when he says "Main bhi tumhare pyaar ko samajh nahin paya...mujhe laga tum paison ke liye Ashok se shaadi kar rahi ho... jab ki tumne yeh sab kuch mere aur Raman Bhai ke liye kiya...kya mera pyaar itna kamzor tha ki main tumhen samajh hi nahin paaya? Jalan mein itna doob gaya tha ki mujhe aur kuch dikh hi nahin raha tha...maine tumhare saath bahut galat kiya"
YEH KYA HAI BHAI? Its one thing to console Mihika and offer her support...but its another to take the blame for this mess ENTIRELY...I mean, why does YHM have to become a female-glorification platform at the slightest opportunity? Mihir ki jagah koi aur hota toh bhi yehi sochta...I mean, WHO in this huge wide world would've thought his modern, independent girlfriend would prefer marrying a potential rapist than fighting it out in a practical way? By involving the police and taking aid of the legal system? How is Mihir supposed to think Mihika is so dumb she didn't realise Ashok could be lying and that NO ONE gets capital punishment for a physical brawl... and why is Mihir blaming himself for this?? Mihika went ahead and married the swine...What should HE have done then? Wait for her his entire life? Nonsense!
The only thing I liked about what he said was - No matter whatever happens in our respective lives, our friendship will always be there...I'll always be there for you...Ab sawaal yeh uthta hai...ki dosti ke khaatir, kahin who Mihika pe zyada dhyaan na dene lage...Kyunki phir it will be unfair on Rinki...Poor Rinki...she looked so anxious watching them cry into each other's shoulders and talk...Re-connecting with a past flame (even if its just friendship) is scary as hell for wives... CVs KUCH bhi karo, bas Rinki ko vamp mat banao...aur Mihir ko Raman-II mat banao...if he's really the practical soul I think he is...he will fulfil his marital commitment and not go back to Mihika...
And just a little tidbit - Raman tried to persuade Ashok to select some other child model for the ad, by handing over a portfolio of other candidates...in return, Ashok handed him the contract which Shagun had signed yesterday...Raman yelled, Ashok reminded him HE's the BOSS...In the meanwhile, the police came to arrest Ashok for physically harassing/molesting his wife...Raman got furious and tried to beat Ashok...Aaj bade dinon baad Raman ki ankhon mein gussa dekha...chhoti si jhalak...par uski daadhi aur uske lambe baal mera chain chheen rahe hain...uske aur koi dialogue pe dhyaan jata hi nahin hai...
P.S. Ananya is definitely back after getting her vaccinations😆...she looks slightly older..and healthier...she's damn cute! But where is SImmi???
P.S. Mihika and Mani ki shaadi kyun nahin karwa dete...atleast, Mihir toh bach jayega
P.S. Ashok looked more like he had been scratched by a chimpanzee...than by his wife'😆
PRECAP - Ashok and Suraj, like the jobless idiots they are, are discussing how to hurt Raman and Ishita...they think of Ruhi - how she's Ishita biggest weakness... he also goes to Mihir's house, and informs him that he is Raman's boss...
