I am not sure the guy is wrong. He is the operations guy.. He was removed from the transpro process...so when the operations guy is needed, he is sent a mail...He calculates the ROI and accordingly approves...So he does his job here...He is not suddenly coming and spoiling II's plans..If it is one thing, the guy is very honest in work place...

and they absolutely have no experience in working with this kind of scale...Infact scalability is not sooo easy...today the main work in google networking side I am working is scalability...I dont say that they are handling that scale...I am just saying that for transpro, even the 60000 is a very high scale compared to the 50-100 ppl companies they are working...

The only claim of R&B is that this software is not going to work for excelsior...He thinks that they need custom software for their specifications and workloads and that the software will still fail even after hardware updates...

Agreed that transpro os a good software but it is not a fit for excelsior...period..

of course scalability is an issue world wide we are not talking google the scales are different..if you use a decent middleware u get scalability for free to some extent right.
My only thing is you cant blame the software if hardware quality is debatable, if one of the showrooms they tried and did a POC with 10 brand new good hardware and were able to prove that the software failed i will agree.. i dont remember reading that.

i only remember reading hardware wont be upgraded , every new software has a basic hardware req for it to work.

I know patches fail but like Nidhi said in multinational over night rewrite components in a month folks can come up with a completely new software nowhere close to what was started.
I dont know how things work in India in US you have a series of POC's then the software goes to the client if it doesnt fit the client, the company will turn everyones life into a living hell before the customer is completely pleased and we get all green until the next storm.

He is honest what is the point in being honest and leave and just come to complain about a product ,do something or shutup thats my mantra😆 .. if you complain also tell the solution or what you think, just dont keep complaining and say this is wrong and that can be better , he is a CMU compsci graduate why cant be be more clear ..

Tara, deadlines ka toh naam na lo...If we meet them then its blessings..otherwise project go live hona is a big achievement..But you are right..in this age a software so horrible is really not possible..and main thing from what i know is there is continuous upgrade in s/w..so even if it was developed 5-10 years back the latest one will be all upgraded...i think its friendship that is spoiling the whole thing..Ranjan would have been hard on any other firm or KMPG would have worked triple times to please client..yaha toh poora laid back attitude hain..

totally true for R&B..He can't just get in and get out whenever he feels like..either he get himself involved fully or just let his father's company drown...
