"Chalk and Cheese"

Firstly, I have never understood this expression "as different as chalk and cheese" 😕 Obviously chalk and cheese are different...one is meant to be used as a writing or drawing utensil while the other is meant to be devoured as a delicious ooey gooey treat (preferably as a carb-heavy dish ). I don't get why this expression exists...but that's enough of my silly aside. 😛

The first thing she does when she wakes up is check in the other rooms to see if he is at home...and yet she failed to understand how he must have felt when he came home to an empty house yesterday in a city that was completely foreign for his hot-headed, impulsive, childish wife in a situation very much resembling when she had run off to Jaipur to get back at him for ignoring her just a few weeks before their wedding. *facepalm* yet again.

And then comes the return of the adorable and innocent II that I love. 😃 Holding a grudge against all French nationals and blaming them for her scary experience...I didn't go out for Mexican food (completely avoided Chipotle, which is one of my favorites) for a couple of months after my nightmarish time in Mexico. I still cringe a little sometimes if I happen to overhear someone speaking in fast fluid spanish.

The rest of the day with her trying to break the ice by offering what is usually supposed to win men over (FOOD) and him royally ignoring her was a page right out of my parent's 25+ year old marriage. 😆 Although it's usually my mom who tends to give papa the silent treatment as he does damage control by making her adrak aur elaichi vaali chai or making his finger-licking good veg biryani. 😛

That is the interesting thing about these characters no? II does not pause to think, not as much as R&B does. But that is what introverts are. They are so good at thinking into themselves and into others that they can read minds better than spoken words! For II, she needs words, plain spoken or written words. And until they come to a level playing ground of words and minds, this is going to be a war of sorts only. 😆

Fighter II is back and raring to go. 👏 I expected nothing less of this feisty Iyer chick after being so openly challenged by Rakshasan. 😆

Hats off to II's ingenuity and adaptability to make things work...for the pooja that is. Ganpati on iPad and wick made from an oil soaked cotton ball. 👍🏼 She's got a long ways to go in terms of adaptability when it comes to their relationship and marriage though.

The rest of the update is of course not reviewable. 😳 A bourbon bath?? How do you come up with this stuff? Since you have mentioned before that many things in this story are based off of real life 😲...I will DIE if you tell me that you have seen or heard of such a thing happening.

And yes, I would like you to consider them having a fondue night with like 10 different kinds of chocolate and R&B "painting" to soothe the beard burn that he just gave her. ☺️ Or at least something along those lines. 😊
