She was really tensed thinking about the matter so she held his hand in her both hands and said "Raman...aap jante hai na...mai aapki khamoshiyaan bhi padh sakti hu..." She then wait for a minute and continued " Kya kaha Shagun ne Raman..."
As she completed her sentence Raman looked at her instantly and after like watching her for eternity he holds her in his tight embrace and again started crying. Ishita understood Shagun have again trapped them in some situation.
After few minutes when he became normal he handed her those papers which define his condition very well. As Ishita started reading her eyes became wide and tears of fear flowed from her eyes. Her biggest nightmare took the face of reality.. She never expected that some day it will come true...and it did.. Those contract papers in her hands define her story. Least she could mutter was" Divorce papers ". And with that her world crashed down.
She kept looking at the papers until her vision turns blurry due to continuous flowing of tears...She blinked her eyes taking all the pain and tears inside not wishing Raman to show how much weak and vulnerable she was feeling right now. Composing and gathering all her senses back she looked at Raman's face which was showing no traces of emotions instead it was just pain spread over.
Feeling Ishita's gaze he couldn't help but glance at her teary face and can easily make out that how hard she is trying to hold back her tears. This was the time that both felt loss of words. No one dared to speak. Moments passed the two of them did not speak nor did the eye-contact break.
Gathering all the strength and his long lost voice he speaks up "Ishita...Adi...dono..mai nahi chun sakta...nahi...Wo Adi ko hamesha ke liye le jayegi...Mai ..mai kya karu..." This was all he could mutter. Not able to control he stood up and left from there leaving a broken Ishita behind. All she could do was watch him go away...Finally all barriers broke down and she started sobbing. For a change she was not crying because of the divorce papers or any Shagun's cheap tricks which were actually working may be but she was crying for Raman...She can see how much pain he was enduring at that single moment. But all she cared about was him...
Probably it was first time she was not able to understand his silence...Though his eyes were speaking what he cannot voice out..But still there is a part inside her which was dreading to accept the reality...all she could mutter was "Mujhe aapki aankhon se kyun dar lag raha hai Raman...kyun aj mai aapki yeh Khamoshi nahi padh payi..."
Collecting the scattered piece of papers she too left from there. Though all she wanted in that moment was to be Raman's side ... But let the other way...she wanted to be alone for some time too.
As she again walked from the hall towards the stairs she can hear Toshiji's cries. For once she thought to go and support her but her strength gave up and she ended running inside her room as fast as she can. She sat near window and cried. Her mind was gathered with the encounter she had with Raman and now the family members who were equally bearing the pain.
It was the time when she remembers something and her hand reached on her stomach. She clutched her stomach lightly and seriously thought whether she should tell anyone about it or not. After thinking a lot she decided against of it. She knew this is not the right time. Thinking about the events which took place in mere one day she closed her eyes and hope for a new day bringing back the lost happiness of the family members.
It was almost a week passed. No situation changed in the house. Everyone was tensed about Toshiji as her health was declining and worsening day by day. They were also feeling sorry for Raman and Ishita as they came to know about Shagun's demand. They all were shocked that how can Shagun stoop so low but they know it's useless to even count her cheap tricks.
Ishita who was expecting to talk to Raman can now only sit and watch all this going on. After that night he came back in morning and was trying to ignore her completely. He was dreading to face the reality and was trying hard to run away somewhere. To his luck and Ishita's disappointment, an urgent meeting was fixed in Mumbai and he went away without even glancing back at her.
She was left heart broken and now its almost a week and no sign of him. All her nightmares seemed to be taking a turn and become a reality to her. She badly wanted to talk to him...to confront him...to ask him the meaning of his silence but she was helpless. He was hell bent on not talking to her.
It was just another day when she went downstairs and heard Raman's voice from the other room. As she closed the distance she could hear toshiji's cries and Raman's helpless words of consoling her.
She didn't dare to step in and went back to her room. She was just waiting for Raman to show up and was all ready to break the news of her pregnancy to him but he never did. Instead of him Toshiji stepped in the room much to her disappointment.
"Ishita puttar...' She called out. Listening to her Ishita turned around and called her inside and offered a seat next to her on bed.
Toshiji again started sobbing while Ishita tried to console her. Toshiji muffled in her cries spoke "Ishita...Puttar tu toh janti hai na...Adi hume kitna pyaara hai...hum mein se koi bhi uske bina nahi reh sakta..."
Ishita stared at her scared of what next is coming.
"Ishita...Adi hamare dil ka tukda hai,...aur Raman...uski toh zindagi usmein basti hai puttar...mai nahi janti shagun kya chahti hai kya nahi...mujhe bas tujh pe wishwas hai puttar...please Ishita..mere Adi ko wapus le aa..mere Adi ko kaise bhi wapus le aa...Wo Shagun mere Adi ko hamesha ke liye le jayegi..."
With that she left the room crying uncontrollably. Ishita was numb for a while. She knew very well what her Mummyji meant. All they cared about was Adi..But what about her...what about her unborn child...where she will go...!! All the while she kept remembering a moment in her life when she read quote somewhere and never thought it will become her destiny.
"They have promised that dreams always comes true but they forgot to mention that nightmares are dreams too"
And probably for her...she had never dreamt anything like this that too in her worst nightmare. All she could do was wait for Raman. She only wanted him right now. She wanted to yell on him for being silent all the time. Somewhere she was disturbed with the fact that he never showed up after that...what he want...what he is up to.
She was feeling helpless at that moment...But something striked her that time and she made a call. After talking to the person she took her belongings and left the house. Driving all the way, enormous of thoughts were flooding into her mind. And all she could do is think...think...and think.
Finally she reached the place and saw a figure sitting on a bench. she made her way inside the garden and settled herself beside him. One look at him and she can say how much pain this poor child is enduring at the moment just like his father. She kept her hand on his shaking hand and called him out "Adi..."
As soon as he heard her calling he turns his face to look at her. Ishita can see small tears brimming in his eyes. At this momemt all he need was a motherly love and affection which only one person can give and he know no one is better than Ruhi's Ishimaa...All he muttered is "Ishita Aunty..." And he hugged her tight..crying in her arms ...Ishita being helpless seeing his condition felt bad for him...If she thinks she is the only one bearing the pain..then this momemt proves her wrong...
All she could do is comforting him...after a while his sobs became silent and he detached himself from her.
"Are you okay..." She asked to which he nodded in a yes and then said "Adi...kya aap apne papa ke sath rehna chahte ho..?" As soon she completed again some tears made their way out of his eyes and after some time he managed to say " Nahi..."
Ishita was shocked for a moment hearing him saying a no. How much she have observe him when he was living with them before shagun took him away saying his custody is still with her, she can say that Adi desperately wants to live with them... His family..his sister...then why he is denying now.
"Adi..beta...aap hamare sath kyun nahi rehna chahte...aap waha khush nahi the...kisi ne kuch kaha Adi...mumma ne ya papa ne...bolo beta..." She asked with all the love and care.
Adi again broke down hearing the word 'papa' still controlling himself he said "Ishita aunty...mai nahi chahta...aap aur papa meri wajah se alag ho..."
Ishita was shocked hearing him and said "yeh aap kya keh rahe ho Adi...koi hume alag nahi kar raha..."
"Nahi aunty...mujhe pta h sab...papa aur shagun mumma ki baatein maine suni thi...wo mere ya aap mein se kisi ek ko nahi chun sakte...aur maine pehle bhi bohot galtiyaan kari hai...mai ab apni wajah se aap dono ko alag nahi hone de sakta..."
"Nahi Adi..meri baat suno.."
Ishita tried to make him understand but he didn't budge...he was stubborn like his father. Leaving her Adi stand up and was about to leave when he heard her crying in pain "aah...aah"
Adi ran upto her and holding her hand asked "aunty...kya huya aapko...aap thik toh hai..."
But Ishita was not in a condition to hear or answer anything. The pain in her stomach was unbearable and she knew her carelessness from the last weak was the only reason. She tried her best to control her cries not wanting to scare little Adi but she was helpless.
On the other side Adi was scared seeing her. He was about to call Raman when Ishita asked him to call the doctor instead. He calls her doctor who ordered Adi to bring her to the clinic as soon as he can. Adi stopped a taxi and took her to the clinic. As soon they reached clinic Ishita have fainted not able to bear the pain.
They reached clinic and doctor took her inside the room. After few minutes she came out asking Adi to know whether anyone from his family is coming or not. But not getting any answer from him she simply told him to ask his father to take a good care of her as she is very weak and the baby will suffer. Hearing the doctor saying about baby he was surprised and happy at the same time. He was not a small kid anymore that he will not understand. He took the reports happily thinking about the new member and kept them in pocket safe with him.
He then move to Ishita's room to see if she was fine or not and also to congratulate her. As soon he enteted the room first thing Ishita asked him was not to tell about this to anyone in the house. Adi was shocked and protested a bit but she some how managed to cajole him. She called Bala to clinic and told him everything as she knew she have to disclose her plight to someone and no one can be better than him when it comes to Understanding her. Bala after dropping Adi home took her with him to his house to have a word with her. As soon as they entered his house Vandita started with her questions whom Bala answered knowing Ishita won't speak anything.
Vandita sat near Ishita and asked her about what she is upto... To which she replied "Akka...Raman ke liye mere aur Adi mein se kisi ek ko chunna mushkil hai...isliye...isliye...mai unki Pareshani kam kar rahi hu..."
"Ishu tumhe pata hai tum kya keh rahi ho...aur kya karne ja rahi ho...tum ye bhul rahi ho ki ye uska bhi bachha hai...and he have the right to know the truth... Do you understand that..?" Bala said in a stern voice not able to hold anymore.
"Par jeeju...Adi ko is waqt uske parivaar ki jarurat hai...Shagun uski life kharab kar degi...aur mai wo nahi hone de sakti.."
It's been a while that Bala and Vandita tried hard to make her understand... But she won't budge...she was adamant on her decision.
Bala drove her home in his car when he said "Ishu mai nahi janta tum kya soch kar yeh kar rahi ho...shyad tum sahi bhi ho par mai phir bhi kahunga ek baar Raman se baat karo...koi solution toh jarur hoga..."
Bala dropped her home asking her to take care and left.
Ishita made her way towards Toshiji's room.
"Mummyji..." She called her standing at the door only while toshiji called her inside.
She asked her where she was to which she replied "mummyji mai Adi se milne gayi thi...aur mai yaha bas yeh btane aayi hu...ki aapka Adi kahi nagi jayega...wo aapke pas he rahega..."
With that she started to leave when Toshiji stopped her and asked "par Ishita...Shagun maani kaise...kya kaha tune..."
"Wo aap logo ko kal pta chal jayega ..." Not able to hold back her tears she made her way to her princess's room. She saw Ruhi sitting on the bed reading a story. She smiled seeing her adorable daughter...If the wishes are granted...she wanted to wish the moment to stop and she can just stare her life..her daughter...and never let go of the moment... Ishita moving inside sat near her and while caressing her hair engulfed in the hug. Ruhi was delighted being pampered by Ishita. She wasn't bothered to ask her why...the little princess can understand her Ishima's silence and unsaid words...After some time which feels like eternity she put Ruhi to sleep and entered her room...
Memories started flooding down her memory lane...She didn't knew if she will get the chance to come back here...all she can do is cherish those memories ...which will be the only support to live her rest of the life...
