Ishiji: " Koi baat nahin mummiji, pls aap rakh lijiye na"
[Ishita: So what mummyji, pls take it]
She handed over the shagun ka lifafa (envelope containing money) to Toshiji.
Toshiji: "Puttar bahut changa laga aaj tujhe itne dino ke baad dekh kar. Chahe
kuch bhi ho jaaye, tera mera pyaar hamesha bana rahega. Chahe to dasse ya na dasse, mainu pata hai tu kabhi koi galat kaam nahin kar sakti. Koi bahut badi vajah rahi hogi jo tune itna bada kadam uthaya. Chahe Raman jo bhi samjhe, mujhe tujhpe pura bharosa hai..tu hamesha humara bhala hi sochegi Ishita"
[Toshiji: I am so happy to see you today Ishita. No matter what happens, I will always love you. You might not tell us the truth, but I know you will never do anything wrong. There must be a very strong reason for you to do this. No matter what Raman thinks, I trust you, you our well wisher]
She kissed Ishita on the forehead.
Ishita: "Mummyji aapko meri koi bhi help chahiye aaj to pls mujhe batayiye naa..aap aaj aise hi itni busy lag rahi hain subah se"
[Ishita: Mummyji in case you need any help pls let me know..U hv been keeping so busy since morning]
"Help sirf apno se li jaati hai, mehmaano se nahin. Aap mehmaan hain to sirf mehmaan banke rahiye"
[ "We take help only from within the family, not guests. You are a guest here, you better remain one"]
It was Raman's voice. Ishita turned to look at him, his feelingless glare made her break into tears.
But suddenly, Suraj came out of nowhere and grabbed Ishita's hand.
Suraj: "Oye Raman Bhalla! khabardar tune meri biwi se battameezi se baat ki to..chodun ka nahi tujhe!"
[Suraj: "Oye Raman Bhalla! Dont you dare talk like that with my wife..I wont leave you"]
"Chalo yahan se darling" [lets go from here darling] Suraj pulled Ishita and took her away from the spot.
The entire wedding Raman seemed to ignore her presence. And after a point he seemed to have vanished.
Her eyes searched for him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Kya hogaya hai Raman ko..Kya unhe sach me meri koi parwah nahi hai...
[What has happened to Raman..Does he really not care about me anymore?]
Ok she had left him, but the thought of him forgetting her and his love for her vanishing from his heart was shattering. Was there nothing left in his heart for her? Werent dere any feelings left?
And then she noticed him sitting in the drinks corner drowned in alcohol.
She moved upto him.
"Raman"
"Hmmm" he growled.
He looked to be heavily drunk.
Ishita: "Raman please chodo isse. Ye aapke liye theek nahi hai"
[Ishita: "Raman please leave it. Its not good for you"]
Raman: "Tum hoti kaun ho mujhe lecture dene wali. Tum meri biwi nahi ho"
[Raman: " Who are you to lecture me? You are not my wife!]
She tried to pull the glass away from his hand, but he pushed her hand. In the process the wine spilt on Ishita's white saree.
Rinki came running to Ishita.
Rinki: "Bhai aap pls sambhaliye apne aap ko. Aur Ishita bhabhi aap pls mere saath chaliye, humne ek room book kiya hua hai is hotel mein. Main aapko change karne ke liye ek saree de deti hoon. Aap pls aayiye mere saath."
[Rinki: "Bhai pls take charge of yourself. And Ishita bhabhi pls come with me, we have booked a room in this hotel. Let me give you a saree to change. Pls come with me]
Ishita went ahead with Rinki to the hotel room. Rinki gave her the saree and left her inside the room.
Ishita went to the washroom. She cried loud, really loud. The day had been exhausting and painful, she had to face certain realities she had been running away for the longest time. She felt helpless, she felt agonised.
She washed her face, but her sobs were still not controlling. She stayed in the washroom for sometime until she calmed.
As she came out of the washroom, the sight of a male sitting on the sofa made her almost scream.
It was Raman. She noticed he had latched the room door from inside.
"Raman aap yahan kya kar raho ho"
["Raman what are you doing here"]
He got up.
Raman: "Tum aaj subah se yahaan kya kar rahi ho!"
[Raman: "What are you doing here since morning!"]
Ishita: "Main sirf Simmi ke kehne pe aayi thi Raman"
[Ishita: "I came only for Simmi"]
" Aur wo Ashok ka langoor bhai Suraj! Wo kya kar raha tha!" [" And that monkey-like brother of Ashok-Suraj! What was he doing here!]
he shouted.
Raman was moving close to her..
Ishita: "Raman Suraj mera pati hai!"
[Ishita: "Raman Suraj is my husband!"]
That made Raman grab hold of her jaw.
"Us kutte ka naam bhi mat lena apni zubaan se mere saamne!" he growled
["Dont you dare take the name of that dog from you mouth in front of me! he growled]
He let go of his hold on her, but did not increase the distance between them.
"Aur kya kaha tumne? PATI! Arey tumhara pati main tha..kuch yaad hai"
["And what did you say? Husband! I was your husband..remember anything?"]
His eyes were reddening, his sight was scaring her.
"Kitna pyaar kiya maine tumse..aur tumne kya kiya!" he continued
[" How much did I love you..and what did you do!]
He grabbed hold of her shoulders and pulled her close forcefully.
" Kya..kya sochke tumne usse shaadi ki haan! Bolo!" he shouted.
[" Why did you marry him? What were u thinking? Say!]
Ishita looked away.
"Bolti kyun band hai haan! Kyun uske paas zyaada paise hain! [ Why are you dumbstruck! Does he have more money?]
"Or you were disturbed that i did not make an attempt to satisfy your sexual urges!?"
"Raman!" she shouted
She pushed him apart.
He pulled open his white coat and loosened his white tie.
He grabbed hold of her wrists.
" Let me fulfill your wishes now. You are mine Ishita. Infact I will make you mine. Here. Right now!"
