Chapter 6: Why was destiny so cruel?

Raman was getting tensed with every minute passing. She had called him an hour back and hadn't yet come. She was not lifting her phone. Damn. Does she even realise why phones are there? He started pacing around his room like a crazy person. He called to her clinic.

R- Hello. Can I speak to Ms. Ishita Iyer.

Receptionist- Sir but she left an hour ago.

R- What? Ok. Fine Thanks.

He hung the phone and in no time was he in his car moving towards her home hoping to find her safe and sound and he tried her mobile once again. This time she lifted. Thank God. She's gona have it from me. He stopped the car to speak to her.

R- Ishita Are you gone mad? I always knew you were crazy but how can you be so careless? I am calling you from the past half an hour? Can't you at least make a phone call? Where the hell are you?

He was not letting the other person speak.

The other person- Dekhiye aap koun bolrahe he?

R- aap koun hai? Yeh phone aap ke paas kaise. He was getting scared every moment. Damn. What's wrong with this girl?

Person- dekhiye yeh hame road pe mili thi. Lagta hai aap unke pati hai. Unka accident huva hai aur vo yaha city hospital me hein.

And in no time he heard that he drove to city hospitals. If he would drive at this speed at any race there was no doubt in him being the first. He was dying every moment and in no time was he in the hospital. He went near the reception running.

R- Abhi Abhi ek accident case ayi thi. Ishita Iyer naam hai uska.

Recep- Ha vo ICU mein hai 2^nd floor aap unke before she could say anything he went to the ICU.

He saw Ishita through the glass door, his heart ached seeing her in that state. He collected Ishita's phone from the person who admitted her and thanked him. He called mihir and informed the situation. Whole Iyer family was devasted. Amma was crying really very bad. Soon, they reached the hospital even Bhallas came with them. All were consoling her.

But Raman was leaning near the hospital door to the wall with his hands trembling, tears threatening to fall with only one emotion in his eyes- fear, fear of losing her. He couldn't lose her this time. He would die their itself if, if he couldn't even think anymore.

The doctor came out and he was the first person to react with a shaking voice- Doctor how is she?

Doctor- Dekhiye abhi hum kuch nahi keh sakte hain. We don't know if she would even survive.

Raman sat there crying bent on his knees with his hands fisted. No one had ever seen this vulnerable Raman. Mihir went to his side and asked him if he was fine, others were consoling Amma. Mihir could understand him. He couldn't hear any voices the only voice he could hear was the doctor's voice saying she may not survive.

He remembered everything- their intial fights, their acceptance of each other, their friendship, their love, their late night talks and walks, her comforting lap where he would often sleep whenever he went to her house with her running her hands over his hair, her oil massage, how he would pretend to have backache so that she would apply balm, their fights, how she left him for his happiness.

He hugged Mihir trying to remove this pain but nothing was happening. The doctor came and he got up still hope left.

D- She's out of danger now and you can see her now and that's it he went in pushing the door and after seeing her inside safe and sound a tear escaped his eyes but the next moment she asked him a question again he felt all his dreams shattering once again.

I- aap koun hai.

I- amma yeh koun hai.

Mihika- Akka you don't remember him.

The doctor came in.

D- just wait i need to ask her some questions. You wait outside.

After sometime the doctor came out and informed she has a memory loss of 7 years.

Raman thought why destiny was so cruel.

But no, I'll not leave you this time. I'll make you fall in love with me again. Be ready to face me Jhansi Ki Rani because you can't stop yourself from falling in love with this Ravan Kumar.
