Prologue:
It's so hard so hard to forget someone you have loved truly. Well, maybe that's what love is. Love, such a simple word but yet the most complicated thing. It gives you moments of happiness, eternity, worry, concern but the most that hurts pain. This pain it becomes so unbearable that you get habituated to it. For some this love gives a life of happiness while for some all it gives is a life of pain. A life of pain, dried tears, guilt, dryness this is all love gave me. And I know no matter what I'll always love him. It breaks you, shatters you but you just can't stop loving him. Yes, this is me, Dr. Ishita Iyer - a simple, independent girl who has no hopes because I just know I'll never get what I hope for. My life to say in a word is pain. Once upon a time it was love but now its pain- pain of love. I am accustomed to it. My life was going, but now seeing him after 6 long years I couldn't control myself. Why had he come in front of him- now this pain it was just increasing like my love after seeing him. He was just like before- but this time he had light stubble around his perfectly carved face but it just made him more handsome. He was wearing a red shirt with a with a white blazer looking ravishing. Seeing him- Raman Kumar Bhalla after so long all I wanted to do was kiss him senselessly. But I knew I just couldn't.
Why I had to meet him if he wasn't written in my fate, in my destiny? Why was destiny so cruel?

Chapter 1:
Flashback:
Mihika had come back from her office. She smiled at me- a smile I very well knew. She came towards me. (Note: Mihika and Ishita are own sisters)
I was reading the book Sense and Sensibility.
Mi- Want some coffee?
I kept the book aside.
Is- What is this buttering for?
Mi- I love someone. I want you to meet him and his brother and convince amma and appa.
Is- Who is it?
Mi- Mihir.
Is- Accha what is he doing?
Mi- He works in PSR companies and he is a Punjabi.
Hearing the word Punjabi the only person she got remembered was Raman. Whatever she thought would end and start with Raman. How would she and Raman fight over being She brushed aside those thoughts.
Is- mikhu you know amma is never going to allow
Mi- Akka he is such a nice guy. He is so cute, lovable and cool guy akka. Please.
Is- Fine I'll meet him. But when?
Mihika hugs her sister.- I knew it Akka. I love you so much. Tommorw he and his brother are attending a party. So, we'll meet them there.
Is- Mihika you know how I hate these parties.
Mi- Please Akka. Apki behen keliye itna nahi karenge
Is- Fine. Now go I am sleepy.
Mi- Akka I know you are hiding something from me. What is it?
Is- Nothing. Why will I had something from you. Now I am too sleepy.
Mi- Then why don't you marry. Is it Subbu.
Is- No it was never Subbu. Now I have to sleep Mihika
Mi- akka one or the other day you have to tell me. I'll wait for that day.
Saying so both go to sleep.
Raman' s office:
R-naam kya hai uska
M- Mihika Iyer
Hearing the word Iyer he could remember only one girl. How much he loved her. Correction how much he loves her. He could not go to sleep for a day without drinking. Soon this love got replaced by anger. Why did she leave him. Ofcourse for that damn Subbu. Whatever! I shouldn't think about her.
R- tujhe koyi acchi Punjabi ladki nahi mili kya?
Mi-bhai she is such a nice girl. Once you meet her na.
R- fine ma ko tu hi sambhal ge
Mi-don't worry bhai. I know aap sambalenge.
R-Whatever.
Mi- bhai don't get angry why don't you forget shagun and move on
R- Look I never loved that woman. So don't irritate. I don't know about your Mihika. But there is no love in this world for me. So shut your mouth.

Next day in the party. Mihika and Mihir were searching for each other.
Is- I'll be outside. Call me.
Mi- fine akka
Flashback ends
She goes outside to take some fresh air. She sees a man's back speaking on phone. He seems so similar to her. And as she goes towards him. She realises who it is and was about to turn back but it was too late he sees her and she stops in her tracks. Seeing him after so long she just wanted to kiss him then and there. Urgh! How he still had an effect on her.
She was looking beautiful as usual but seeing her after so long made her more beautiful. She was in a blue gown- his favourite colour looking ever so gorgeous. All he wanted to do was kiss her senselessly then and there but soon anger replaced it.
Ishita thought you took the decision so he is no one to you now even though he is everything to you he is not yours now. Thinking this she turned back to go. But he held her hand. Why was he making it so difficult for her?
Ra- Where is Subbu?
Is- It shouldn't matter to you.
He pulls her back so that she falls towards his chest so that her back is towards him.
Ra- it matters. It matters dammit. I am your bloody ex.
Is- that doesn't give you the right to ask about my personal matters Mr. Raman Kumar Bhalla. I am no one to you.
Saying so she frees her hand and was moving forward when mihika and mihir find both of them and come there.
Mi- Akka he is Mihir and he is Raman bhai- Mihir's brother.
Mihir- Bhai she is Mihika and she is Ishita di- Mihika's sister.
They were shocked. How could she control herself? How would he control himself?

Chapter 2:
Why is she here? I have no idea how I'll control myself. Her eyes why do they show me pain, hurt? Of course she'll be hurt right when her ex is here. Whatever. She is no one to you Raman. No one to you what a joke? But she is not Raman's Ishita she is Subbu's Ishita. No she can't she be she is only yours his heart scream. How he loves her? But why did she leave? Wasn't his love for her enough? His heart was fighting with his mind.
He fell in love with Shagun in his college. No it wasn't love it was mere attraction but Ishita she was no she is his love, his heartbeat, his every breath. His family gladly accepted her. Wedding preparations were going on he came to know she was cheating on him for Ashok because he was rich. He was broken not because Shagun left him but because the woman he loved betrayed. He changed into a rude, aggressive, short tempered man. He moved to Chennai to work there because he had got a good job there and he didn't want to live in Delhi. So he went there. And there he saw Ishita, his neighbour. They got on a wrong foot. They hated each other so much that any person wouldn't believe these fell in love that pure hatred changed to pure love. I slowly started to see the goodness in her. Then we became friends and finally we fell in love. Those were the magical moments in my life. She supported me every time. I soon became a famous business man. We decided to tell it to our family. But before I tell it she and said she doesn't want me in her life because Subbu wanted her back. Subbu and Ishita loved each other before but he dumped her when they came to know she was infertile. Her Amma brought so many marriage proposals but after knowing her medical condition they rejected her. Frustrated by this she moved to a new apartment from the society. However, there family was there itself. She alone had come. She wanted to become a dentist. Soon, they fell in love but then again he was betrayed and this time it was Ishita and that was a shock. After that he never lived peacefully not even a single night. These past 6 years were so painful to him.
Flashback:
Ishita's room: Raman had come there to see her.
Is- Raman I want to end this relationship now.
Ra- Ishita agar tumhe lagta hai ke tume acche masak karne ate ho to I am sorry it was a very bad joke.
Is- Raman har cheez mazak nahi hoti hai. I am telling the truth.
Ra- pagal hogayi ho kya.
Is- Raman I am serious
Ra- Ishita are you serious?
Is- ha Raman
He held her by her arms. Soon tears were forming in his eyes.
Ra- but why? I am sorry if i have done any mistake but I can't live without you? I'll try to make up for my mistake but don't leave me.
Is- Raman you didn't do any mistake.
She couldn't say further because tears were forming in her eyes. She turned back and gained some courage. She had to do it. She had to do it for his happiness. She knew she'll never stay happy without him but she had to do it. From the past one week she wasn't keeping well so she went to the doctor when she came to know that she couldn't live for more time and may die soon. Her TB of childhood was affecting her. They were unsure when she would die but there was only 10% chance she would survive. She was shocked and the only thought that came to her was Raman. He would be shattered. That is why she took this decision. She even didn't want to tell it to her family because she wanted to live the last moments of her life as a normal human being not as a person who was pitied.
Is- But I don't want to live with you. She mustered some courage and said- because I love Subbu and he is giving me a second chance. So, I don't want to live with you she said in a go.
And that is it Raman left her hand and walked out of the room. She sat there and started crying. She cried like that for hours hoping her fate would change but it didn't.
Flashback ends
After some years she became a successful dentist in Delhi. It was 6 years now and her death date was coming near was all her dentist said her. She was taking tablets but one day she would vanish from Earth.
And then in between all this he is standing here in front of her now.
Destiny- why did it play so cruel games? I never understood. Why is god playing these games with me? She couldn't control, a lone tear rolled down her cheek she wiped them before anyone noticed it. But one man was watching her with anger written all over his face, with rage clearly written in his eyes. She watched those eyes as his expression changed from rage to indifference. He took his hand out of his pockets and forwarded his hand for a handshake.
R- Hi, My name is Raman Kumar Bhalla.
And she was hurt seeing the indifference she couldn't bear it. But what else would he do console her for what she did. No, he would have moved on by now and would be married. She couldn't think of him now. He was somebody's husband right now. She soon masked her emotions and forwarded her hand for handshake.
Is- Ishita Iyer was all she could say as his hand firmly held hers. His touch sent shivers to her. She couldn't think of anything else. She closed her eyes. Her breaths got uneven.
How smooth her hands were. So delicate. How her one touch still effected him so badly. He wanted to hold this hand forever. But she didn't want him to. He smirked at her for still having an effect on her. So, still he effected her. Wait. What did she say she said Ishita Iyer. Iyer. How could it be? Wasn't she married? All these questions were in his mind when Mimi called them to go in.
He was too curious now. Why did she lie to him? This one clue of her not being married gave him an idea that maybe she didn't betray him and there was something else. Because his heart told him Ishita wasn't a person who would betray. Him effecting her proved it. But he didn't give false hopes to his heart and first wanted to know the truth. But for that he wanted some privacy and that's when the host called the couples for a dance. He took it as a chance and asked her for a dance. At first she was hesitant but finally gave when Mihika forced her.
Mihika- tum nehi lagta in dono ke beech kuch he
Mihir- kya? Kya he unke beech mein?
Mihika- tumne ek number ke buddhu ho
Mihir- fine meri maa budhu hu. Ab dance keliye chalogi.
Soon they too joined the dance floor. A slow number was playing.
Ishra were swaying beautifully to the music. Soon Raman pulled her towards him.
R- Aren't you married to Subbu?
Is- That is none of your business Mr. Bhalla
R- Ishita don't get on my nerves.
Is- What did I do Mr.Bhalla?
Soon the song changed to Kabhi Jo Badal Barse. Ishra danced beautifully to the song.(same like in the show). Others moved to see them dance. And MiMi decided to play a cupid for them. The dance ended and they were leaning to kiss each other when the audience claps brought them out of their trance. Soon the party ended.

Chapter 3: Confusions
After their almost kiss on the dance floor they got down and moved out. Neither of them could speak anything. There was silence between them but their eyes were doing a lot of them. They couldn't take their eyes of each other. Those were having a lot of emotions. The world stopped there for them. They were too engrossed in themselves to see what the other was thinking.
Raman watched her eyes as they showed hope and some satisfaction after seeing him. He could see desire clearly written in her eyes. It was as if she was fighting with herself to not hug him. He just didn't know what to believe- her betrayal or what he was seeing in her eyes.
Ishita could see his beautiful eyes as they expressed curiosity, desire and then the expressions change to rage and then to confusion. They held a lot of emotions. A part of her was happy to see him, to feel him but then her mind said maybe he had moved on and she shouldn't be a barrier for him and his wife. Soon she felt a feeling of jealousy in her heart. But she shouldn't do this. He was not hers but she was all his. She turned her face away as he watched him run his hand in his hair.
They were so much involved in their own emotions that they failed to notice the two people who were so were much noticing them and giggling and making their plans in their mind to bring this two together.
As Ishita turned around she asked Mihika who was trying hard to control her laugh.
Is- What's so funny Mihika?
Mihika- Nothing Akka.
Raman- Oye tu kya itna has raha he? Iss madrassan ke sath rehkar to bhi pagal hogaya he.
They were walking near the parking when Mihika pushed Ishita and she lost her balance and was about to fall when a strong pair of arms held her. She smelled his colgene and was so lost in it. He noticed her luscious lips and wanted to just feel her lips under his. She noticed as his eyes with full of desire travelled down to her lips. She just closed her eyes and he was about to lean in for a kiss not noticing the two people who tried hard to stifle their giggle when his phone rang bringing him out of his trance. Soon Ishita straightened herself. Raman went to attend the phone call.
Mihika went whispered in her sister's ears- What was that Akka?
Is- What?
Before Mihika could tease her sister Raman came.
Ra- kya baate karahi ho mihika is pagal madrassan se
Is- aapko hamesha aisa kyu lagta hai mai pagal hu
Ra- are pagal ho to pagal hi bhulango na
Mihir- di what to do you mean by hamesha
Is- matlab sare madrassan ko pagal kehte hai to aisa hi lagega na mihika ko bhi aisa hi bulata hai
Mihika- Akka bhai didn't call me pagal
Ra- ha kya hai yaha tumhari Akka tumse badi pagal hai senior haina tum junior ho kyu Jhansi ki Rani
Ishita just frowned her face and muttered but loud enough to be heard by the other 3- prandh muttal Ravan Kumar kahika
Mihir- Ravan Kumar, Jhansi ki Rani nice names
Is, Ra together- Whatever
Ra- accha ghar jana ki nahi warna yahi kadhe rehkar sab ka bheja kaho gi kya tumhari boring lectures
Is- mein to bas baatkar rahi aur apne jagdha shuru kiya tha
Ra- right tumse koyi jagdha kiye bina kaise rehsakta hai jab dekho kuch na kuch galat karti rehti ho aur agar lecture dena tum band kardo gi to mein na tum se jagdha karna band kardonga aur ye dono kabhi nahi hoga
Is- aap ko kabhi taane marna se alava kuch ata hai kya
Ra- Aata hai na tumhe irritate karna
And they started their cute nok-jhok.
Mihika- Ab bas bi karo yaar mujhe ghar jaana hai
Ra- Fine
He went to remove his car.( mihir and raman came in a car and Ishita and mihika in a car. Mihir lives in Bhalla house).
Mihir-bhai mein mihika ke paas aata hu aap aur Ishita di aayena
Raman- pagal hogaye ho kya mein jaarahu ghar tujhe aana hai to aa
Mihika- ha bhai aap dono chale jaye na
Ishita- par mihku unhe kyu takleef dena
Mihika- akka takleef kaise humara ghar to ek hi jagha he mayor vihar
Ishita Raman in unison- What?
Mihika- Ha
Soon somehow Mimi convinced them. They left. Mimi hified at their success.
Ishra started to disscuss about their professions. Ishita wanted to ask about his wife but stopped herself. Even Raman wanted to ask about Subbu but stopped their because it would be difficult for her as already his meeting had made her so nervous. Soon their house came. They went their and saw they were neighbours. Why were they so near yet so far?
After they reach their houses. Mihika wanted to tease her Akka but both being tired went to sleep. But sleep was the last thing on Ishra mind. They spent the whole night tossing and turning thinking about each other.

Chapter 4: Clearing misunderstandings
The next morning the lady who never woke up late was sleeping there on the bed at 10'o' clock tossing and turning. Mihika came inside bringing two cups of coffee with her. She saw her Akka murmuring something in hear. She could hear her saying I'm sorry I didn't do it on purpose I just didn't have an option and all. Mihika was confused and she woke her up after a lot of screaming.
Mi- Akka you are ok. First you got up so late and now murmuring something and relax its a Sunday.
Is- Its nothing Mikhu. Just having a bad headache said Ishita sipping her morning coffee.
Mi- Waise Akka what do you think about Raman? She asked as she took her coffee.
Is- He's a good guy but very irritating
Mi- don't you feel anything else. I mean look at how you danced and the way you were staring at each other every time.
Is- What? Said Ishita trying to pretend to be shocked. There's nothing like that
Mi- Okay. Now don't lie didn't you know each other before
Is- Mikhu if I knew I would tell you na besides I guess he is already married or has someone in his life
Mi- No Akka he isn't married neither does he have anyone in his life
Is- Whatever. Go get ready we have to speak to amma and appa about you and mihir.
Mi- Yup
It was really tough to convince amma and appa.
Mi(Mihir)- Bhai you knew her right
Ra- who
Mi- Ishita di
Ra- What? How will I know her if anything you should know her and if you want to speak anything more about it then I'm not interested.
It was hard to convince the Bhallas and Iyers because of their first encounters but they agreed.
Mihika and Mihir had gone to a cafe later.
Mi(mihika): Akka isn't telling anything
M- Same here but I don't think they met each other I mean they would tell us right
Mi- Yeah. They would tell us if nothing happened between them. But something happened.
M- Whatever. But I agree that they are attracted to each other
Mi- So plan Raman Ishita milao. We'll put them in circumstances that they realise their feelings
M- Ok.
It was a stormy night. But Ishita being Ishita had gone to attend a kid who had a toothache and while coming back he car broke down and it started raining. She went under a tree. She looked for a auto but none came. She tried to call Mihika but her battery had died. Not knowing what to do she waited there for an auto.
That's when he came. He had gone out to clear his mind. He had decided that he would know the trurh and Mihir told him that she didn't anyone after Subbu broke up with her. He was happy that she still loved him but he needed to know the truth. He would. He was going back when he saw her. Standing under a tree and he saw her car and understood the matter. But what was she doing here. He got down the car and went near her.
As he came towards her a shiver went down her spine. He was looking damn sexy in the rain. She gulped. He asked her what she was doing here. At first she was hesitant but then agreed.
The whole day she had spent thinking if Raman would forgive her. She decided to tell him the truth. No more running away afterwards the decision is his. But she needed some time. So she decided to tell him the truth tomorrow.
As they approached towards the car moving quickly not to get drenched but Ishita slipped and before she could fall down a strong pair of arms held her and their they stood in the rain trying to read each other's emotions. And then a radio in a shop nearby started to play the song Teri Yaadein- Atif Aslam'.

He looked at her lips as if asking her permission. She just closed her eyes giving in to her feelings. He leaned in for a kiss.

The kiss was at first a rough one. He felt like heavens after tasting her for years. It gave him a feel of peace. She just let him explore him her mouth and felt complete. He made her feel complete. It was a beautiful moment for both of them. Soon Ishita took the lead and let him take pleasure. Then the kiss slowly turned into a slow passionate one trying to make it up for all the years they have been apart. They were trying to complete each other. They looked perfect. It was a perfect kiss in the rain as if the god was showering them blessings. After what they felt like eternity they pulled up and had an eyelock this time showing all the love they had for each other.
And Ishita's phone brought them out of their trance. It was from Mihika and she informed her that she was coming.
They started to leave when Ishita held Raman's hand. He turned around. She pecked his forehead and said I'll give you all answers tomorrow.
He went close to her and caresses her face slowly and that touch made her knees go weak.
R- I love you. He said.
Ishita was overwhelmed tears made their way to her cheek. He wiped them.
I- I love you too Raman and sounded like a beautiful tune to his ears and she pecked his lips and pulled apart and made way to their car.
