G, love that quote.. so so much. So beautiful. And the GIF Aru... these are the moments GIFs were made for non? Love it! Your post is very concise and pretty much says everything about the episode. As always, phenomenal... I don't know how you do it, but you always manage to. 🤗
Todays's episode: OTT with a background score I really didn't enjoy for the most part but it gave us some terrific moments and gave RSA &AG a chance to really shine. There are 5 aspects of the episode I appreciated especially.
1. Ishita
Though her speeches/lectures can often come off a tad condescending and unrealistic, today I appreciates it...perhaps she borrowed sone of RKB's more logical speech writers- it's not like RKB was saying much so he might have had some spare time...😛
Like all of you I appreciated Ishu and her logical presentation of the situation to Mihir and giving him the choice, and stating it as such; when all of this turns on its head with the truth about ASMI this will be somewhat helpful... though I am certain that somehow Ishu and especially Toshi will still find a way to make it all Ishita's fault. But for now, lets appreciate the terminology.
I also loved her the way she dealt with Shagun today: admitting her own fault in literally inviting trouble into her marital home, the problems it caused, the complete dismissal of Shagun's attempts at interruption, the mention of where exactly Shagun was when Ishu brought her home and the mention that Adhi's psychological issues were more to be placed on Shagun's head then anything else. The last two especially were terrific points. The trash bin mention brings me personal satisfaction, and draws back to Romi's mention of same when he confronted her after bring beaten by Raman. And the mention of the psychological problems-though I was a bit skeptical about the councillor for bed wetting situation as an unnecessary plot device- there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that both Adhi and Ru has some deep reaching psychological issues because of the divorce and especially Shagun. The flicker of acknowledgement that seemed to pass Shagun's face at that mention shows that she too realizes it, though I highly doubt she would ever take accountability for it.🤔 Is it too much to hope that Ishita will remember this moment and this lesson the next time Shagun pulls a scheme? 😕...probably.🤢 So for now lets enjoy the fact that for this moments, she saw the light...
2. Marriage and Friendship
TBH, I was not offended by Mihir's use of those words. ISHRA have a strong friendship that transformed into love. It's really the ideal kind of relationship IMHO. They learned to respect each other as friends before finding the love in the friendship. Unlike what some have suggested, I don't think that Mihir is by any means alluding that there is no love between ISHRA- everyone that knows them now knows that's not true. He is calling to the root of their relation ship and desires the same for himself and Rinki. It was admirable. Clearly, for Mihir and all the Bhalla siblings the healthiest, most normal and admirable relationship of their age group that they are witness to is that of ISHRA.
They've seen it bloom from nothing but a compromise into an abundant love that caused these two lost souls who could once barely stand in the same room to lose themselves in each other in dances and eye locks while surrounded by family. They've seen what it was and what it became. And it completely makes sense that besides being happy for the couple, they would want the same kind of joy and peace for themselves... similar I imagine to the feelings that the Bala/Vandhu relationship has arisen in ISHRA.
There is a weird kind of envy in the way the relationships are presented in YHM, and I suppose life. ISHRA have always held Ishu's sister and Bala's relationship as the gold standard...and though the ISHRA relationship is quite different , it's lovely to see RKBs siblings envy the ISHRA relationship. The circular nature of it and the familial connection too are really admirable.
To that end, I have to say I loved Mihir's proposal. Though in a public space, he did make it rather private, genuine, beautiful and honest... the honesty is something I truly appreciate. RSA gave a fantastic performance with material that as we saw in the OLVs, he wasn't particularly believe in. Given the situation it was appropriate and beautiful and really sets the foundation of the MNIKI love story quite well.
3. RKB's vocal exercises
In the end it amounted to that non? 😆 He didn't say much and perhaps he didn't talk when we expected but the fact that he spoke up when he did, for me, reinforces my thoughts on the subject yesterday. He didn't defend Ishita or aid her because he knew that she didn't need that from him right now. What she needed was his silent support. But Rinki- a sibling who is akin to his child, who stands there broken, lightly supported by Simmi- she needed defending and he made sure that she got it. Shagun's words were ridiculous (though no more so then any of her other words) and clearly went against her mission but she was so 'lost in the moment' that it escaped. RKB's immediate warning not only stood to show his defence of Rinki and remind Shagun of his presence but also reminded Ishita that he was there, should she need him. Loved it.😊
4. Romi
How could I not talk about Romi and AG? A wonderful, beautiful, subtle and earnest performance. The vulnerability in his voice , the shame in his admission of his condition and his self recrimination about the kind of man he is... a nuanced performance by AG that shows both Romi's pain and growth because of the situation. The OTT nature of it all was a bit much , though I suppose given this entire track and the previous episode it was simply keeping in trend. I love that he called Raman's attention to Puri and immediately stated the issue and that it was Ishita's encouragement and mention of the things she noticed that have him courage. Those were the exact people he needed at that moment.. and then Raman's hug. So much was said in that hug- lovely.❤️
The precap- you explained it terrifically G... but I have to say I was laughing at Shagun at the end of today's episode and the precap. In today's epi she could not seem to believe that Raman was actually kicking her out. Again points to the level of her delusion in Raman's 'love' for her and her ability to manipulate him using Adhi. And the precap, the way she looked at Raman when he had his back to her... it was similar to the way a woman looks at her love as she is being unjustly taken away...she was waiting for her hero (RKB) to turn and come rescue her from this injustice... so funny! 🤣
Tomorrow: Slap-a -thon part deux- this time it's personal...🥳🥳

Random Thoughts:
1. What was the purpose of Miku overhearing the convo with Ankita? If she was simply there to witness MINKI marriage, why did she also had to overhear? Simply to create sympathy for Miku?😳
2. Long time no see of my beautiful Ru, only a glimpse but she was adorbs!
3. I thought the kis were with Neelu...that wasn't Neelu. What happened to Neelu? I want Neelu #less Shagun more Neelu #I want her story #definetly more interesting than Shagun's #What happened with the driver #And the cosmetology classes #Inquiring minds want to know
