Back to business 😆
"Her body existed only where he touched her. The rest of her was smoke."
Arundhati Roy, The God of Small Things
I read the book, watched an adaptation, but, I don't remember this line. But after the update, this quote stayed with me. I don't know how to put it in words , but it's like your words breathe. The reader actually feels 'em while reading. You got such a way with them 😳 And anything which makes a clear visual and emotional image in my mind, remains memorable for me.
I held pride when she expressed herself honestly.. I was in awe.. when she voices her feelings, the reality of their wedding. They are real. This is the Ishita I've been watching since the beginning. The Ishita who got feelings and is human. ;) I so yay'd when she kissed him as he drew back. This is the girl who was dancing to seductive lines in front of her husband. She's a mystery and I like mysteries. 😆
May I dare to say this had an intensity as much as the emotional aspect, it was like I was savoring every moment of it. The heavy atmosphere feel when Raman puts his hand on her knee. Phew. ☺️ The gentleness and care Raman had. I'm so sure the update was short but all the moments there made every second feel like too long. Cause it was so touching and too beautiful with the realisations.
She 's been taunted too often by the very same husband while he also admired her and made his obvious remarks of his wishes. She faced so many hardships in the matter of love and acceptance, for someone to finally hold on to her, and take care of her instead of the otherwise. And here it's her husband who she came to love and respect. And it's obvious he was as much fearing her reaction as anticipating it. It's not surprising to read any bit of this update. So beautiful to show how she, in fact both waited for a moment like this.
But this Aani "She didn't want to titillate, she wanted to belong" reminds me of why I love her already. Masterstroke!!
Unconditional love come in all forms. From a wife slash lover to a parent, only Ishita can think how she disappointed Ruhi by not winning. But then she matters to Raman and Ruhi.
From the point where she says it's okay Raman to the kiss, it felt like am right there witnessing a couple's intimate moment when I shouldn't be. I saw each and every expression of theirs in my mind's eye.
Yaar no matter how many times I tell you, it won't do justice to how great a writer you are. No, no fangirling alert 😆 Genuinely you rock.
I just realised my fingers are numb so I assume I wrote too much. Sorry bhawnaon main beh gayi. Update ka asar 😉 😆
Now shameless reminder time: Update soon 😆
