Sorry G had an exhaustingly long day and not sleeping the night before didn't help. I wanted to come update and share my thoughts so bad but I want to finish all the daily tasks before entering the world of YHM because once I am here it is hard to leave and then the entire schedule goes topsy turvy. 😆
G the scene where Ruhi speaks the truth and practically shows the mirror to her family was heartbreaking because can you imagine the trauma this 6 year old kid has endured for her to understand the concept of deceit and the meaning of double standard behavior. It was sad to see Ruhi speak the words that an adult of the family should have spoken, at age 6 Ruhi posses the maturity of an adult who has weathered many storms. She is a child whose mother left her when she was 6 months old, a father who didn't want anything to do with her and a fractured family involved in their own problems. This little child has endured what no other child should, so I am not surprised that she possesses the intelligence to see through the bull crap, I am just saddened that in taking care of herself and ensuring her parent's union she somewhere has lost her innocence. As much as I was cheering for Ruhi today to show the double faced Bhallas a mirror, a part of me was sad seeing the maturity in Ruhi because her maturity is her scar, the scar she acquired fighting the battle to gain love from her father and the battle to keep her Ishima close to her. I just love Ruhi, for me she is the soul of YHM.
I really felt bad for Ishita when she was sitting at the bench remembering the promises that Raman made and lamenting at her current situation was just heartbreaking. It felt like her entire world came crashing down and then to realize that the only person that cares for her is Ruhi was heartbreakingly beautiful. It hurts the most when you feel alone while being surrounded by your loved ones, she has her husband, her parents, her sister, her in laws but the only person that can see her is her daughter. I honestly think that this YHM, the mohabbatein part is between Ishita and Ruhi. The scene on the bench when puttar approaches the missus to figure out the reason behind her tears was heartbreaking for me because he genuinely wants to ease away her pain but just doesn't know how, he tries to talk to her but like I had said yesterday, where Ruhi excelled Raman failed and this was true today as well. Seeing her father and her Ishima struggle, Ruhi knew what she had to do, what words couldn't do, a gentle hug did. That hug had me in tears, yes I am a ball of emotions and these small endearing moments get to me. 😳 That scene where Ruhi-Ishita hug is the essence of YHM for me, so pure, so simple, and yet to powerful. A child of 6 years hugging her mom and in the process taking away all her pain and carrying it on her 6 year old innocent shoulders, tears!
Coming to my puttar, his anger did get the best of him yet again and to spite the missus he agreed to do the pooja,if I were the writer I would have done it differently but then again beggars can't be choosers so I will take what I get. His conversation with the missus to me was very natural, speaking from personal experience I have fought my significant other for days and made up in 5 minutes so I am not gonna judge this couple's conversation because every pair is different in how the deal with things. Having said that, I would have liked a little longer conversation because these two have a lot of issues to iron out and this little conversation was a start but definitely wasn't enough to clear the air.
What I appreciated in that litte chat was that Ishita told him that she was hurt, that why would she ever want him to do pooja with Shagun, (umm hello Ishu you made him celebrate the stupid anniversary so think before you do it again) she flat out told him that for the past few weeks nothing has been going right. He on the other hand, understood her, he apologized, he requested for her cooperation and made her secure by telling her that she wants to pooja with her all this life with all the popcornS in the world. 🤣
The moments person who craves emotionally poignant scene wasn't satisfied that small conversation but then again like I said beggars can't be choosers. I wanted an alone bench scene, where Raman tried to understand the reason behind Ishu's tears, her angst and her desperaton, that scene between puttar and the missus could have been magical but then they had to give us the Ishita-Ruhi scene so I understand. I just wish that conversation would have been little longer but oh well, alas the the TALKED! 👏
Precap: First I LOVE that song and have been humming it all day, so yay for the choosing an awesome song and not something lame. Second, there was something different in puttar and missus' eyes when they were gazing at each other, me thinks they are gonna get frisky after lohri, puttar's eyes had a different sort of passion and the blush on missus was of a different shade, why do I think some action is gonna happen provided the lock the door and Adi doesn't create any drama.
Puttar probs is like:
