Recap:
Ishita froze. Yes. It was Sunday. And it was 12. With a quick moment she got up, thanked Asha, promised the kids she will be back and ran. Ishita knew she couldn't miss this. Panting and huffing she reached the School PCO exactly when the phone started to ring. She knew it was for her.
The warden smiled and gestured her to pick it up. Ishita composed herself and picked up the phone. And what she heard next made her heart beat faster.
"Ishimaaa"

Chapter 3: Smile a little more!"Ishimaaa, aap ho na?"Ishita was overwhelmed. Actually she just couldn't fathom her emotions. It was Sunday and it was time her angel rescued her once again. Drowning in the mindless thoughts of sadness and desolation, it was her time to get healed by her fairy- angel.
"Haan Rooh, aapki Ishima yahi hai." Her voice cracked as she spoke to Ruhi, her daughter, her angel, her strength, her love, her life.
"Duurrr Phitte Muuh, no cry-cry ishima! You promised me. This is not fair, mein aapki har baat manti hoon na. Toh stop shedding your precious tears and talk to me. Aaj toh Bahut mushkil se phone kiya hai Ishima, everyone was watching me like a hawk. Par aapki Ruhi did find some way. ""Ishimaaa... Hello? Ishima are you there?"The silence on the other side troubled Ruhi, when she heard a small chuckle.
"Haaan Meri Roooh, bolo beta. Aap kaise ho? "
"Mein Tik hoon. Aurrr... Papa tik hone Ki Bahut koshish kar rahe hai."Raman's mention by her tiny tot, stiffened Ishita's stance. She felt her eyes welling up and she took the table to her support.
"Mein jaanti hoon Ishima you are worried about Papa, but don't worry aapki Rooh is here to take care of him. I will never break my promise to you. I promise."Ishita knew Ruhi would do anything in her stride to fulfil her promise and that was one reason why she had convinced Ruhi to stay back.

17 days and 3 hours back
"No Ishimaaa. No. Aap hi meri mummy ho."
"Mein hi hoon Rooh, aapki mumma Mein hi hoon. But iss waqt tumhari Ishima ke paas aur koi raasta nahi hai."
Ishita could see Ruhi's round doe-eyes well up. She knew her child's heart was breaking. Her Ishima had asked her to do something which no child could do, be away from her mother.
"Kya hai Na Ruhi, everytime toh Humein Woh nahi Milta Jo Humein chahiye. And what happens na baccha sometimes to understand something is wrong, you need to let that person go through it. Accha, ab jab aap Ice cream khane ki zidd karti ho, gande bacche ki tarah, tab Ishima kya Kehti hai?"
"Roooh, no ice creams, no chocolates. It's so cold na Ruhi, sardi ho jaayegi " filled in Ruhi who knew her Ishima inside out.
" Correct Mera baccha. Aur phir jab aap Bahut zidd karte ho tab? What do I do?"
"Aap Mujhe ice cream khane dete ho, and next day mujhe full Khoi-khoi hoti hai. And then gandi wali dawai"
"Waah mera baccha. Ekdum correct. For Ruhi to understand Ishima is right, she needs to know That she is wrong. In the same way Mumma needs to let Papa understand he was wrong. And for that Mumma needs to let him do what is wrong."
"Ishimaaa but for that why do you have to go away." A lone tear escaped Ruhi's eyes and Ishita hugged her closer than earlier. As she nuzzled into her kid she said,
"Beta, only if I could stay. If I stay Adi will leave and then I will never be able to tell your papa that Adi and Shagun are doing wrong."
But Meri Rooh, I need you to take care of your papa. You have to help him understand who is wrong. You have to be your papa's guiding angel."
" Ishima, can't I come with you.? Pleaseeere."
Ishita could see her decision affecting her Ruhi. Her decision to go away from Raman was going to tear her child apart. But she also knew if she didn't, her family would lose their Ghar Ka Chirag. For a moment she wanted to be weak and give into Ruhi's demands but she knew her papa would need Ruhi by his side. Even though Raman had silently given up on their relationship for Adi she loved him and she knew he needed Ruhi.
All Ishita could at that moment do was hold onto her child tighter as she uttered a silent prayer to Murugan to give her strength and bring the day of their togetherness faster.
That night as everyone slept peacefully, she tip-toed her way out of their lives, as silently as she had entered.
She had decided to get away from the city, not because she wanted to go away from everyone but because she knew staying too close would tempt her to meddle in their lives.
Also a part of her heart wanted the distance to matter to Raman, as selfish as it was she needed that love from him and acceptance came with a price she knew.

Ishita's reverie was broken by Ruhi's incessant blabbering as she went on to tell Ishita about every member of her family.
Ishita smiled as she imagined her daughter prancing in the room, just like her father and delivering every story with correct emotion and drama.
"Arrey Meri Ruhi express, aapki gaadi ko break lagao aur batao Aapne homework Kiya?
"Hawww aapko lagta hai aapki Ruhi kabhi homework nahi karegi? All done and finished."
"Accha Ishima Asha Di kaisi hai? Tell her I will meet her soon and say hiii to all your kids there, and how is the weather there, is it very cold? It's too cold in Delhi. You know what did that stupid Shravu do today...?"
Ruhi's innumerable questions and answers to her own questions brought about a big smile on Ishita's face and 2000 kms away, right behind Ruhi, tucked away in darkness, it brought a big smile on her papa's face too. For the first time in 16 days he smiled, a genuine, heart-warming gooey smile.
