AT MANI'S PLACE
"Past is a place of reference
Not a place of residence" - says Mani.
Mani asks Shagun to move on.
Mani - dekho Shagun, tumhare paas Sirf tumhari Zindagi nahi hai, Adi bhi hai. Uska schooling, uska parvarish sab tumhare haatho mein hai. Apney liye na sahi, apney bte ke liye jiyo.
Shagun - uss mihika ko main nahi chodungi.
Mani - Shagun badla lene se sab solve ho jayega? Maan lo tumne Mihika se badla le liya, tumne usko ghar se bahar bhi phekwa diya, usse Kya hoga? Ashok ne jo tumhari insult ki woh wapas le payega woh? Tum jab dustbin ke paas Leti huyi thi aur tumhara beta ro raha tha, woh waqt wapas sudhaar payogi? Nahi nah. Yeh sab apney dimaag se nikaalo. Dikha do uss Ashok Khanna ko ki tum uske Bina Kya ho. Dikha do Ki tum independent ho, ki tum use and throw nahi ho. Live for your son. Isse bada revenge aur kuch hai hoga.
Shagun - lekin mujhe naukri dega kaun. Mere Saare contacts Ashok ke saath khatam ho Gaye. Sab mujhe ajeeb nazar se dekhte hai. Main kiske paas jayungi. Raman bhi apney uss Ishita ke saath busy hai.
(Shagun breaks down and starts crying)
Mani supports her. He pats her shoulder and assures her that every thing will be fine.
Mani - hmm! Dekho agar tumhe Koyi problem nahi hai toh tum mere saath mere company mein Kaam kar sakti ho. Adi ke liye itna toh main kar hi sakta hoon. Aur jab tak tumhe Koyi ghar nahi mil jaata, tum yehi reh lo. I don't mind.
Shagun - are you sure?
Mani - yeah! Adi ke liye.
Shagun - fine then. Main kal se join karungi.
Mani - okay! But puri Lagan ke saath tumhe Kaam karna padega.
Shagun - Adi ke Zindagi ka Sawal hai. Maine life mein bohot kuch khoya hai. Adi ko nahi khona chahti. I'll work for him. Thank you.
Mani - it's okay. Kal aa jaana office, salary aur work pattern discuss kar lenge.
Shagun smiles and nodes her head. Adi listens to the entire conversation standing near the door, peeping from the open edge. He smiles and thinks "mom kitna pyaar karti hai mujhse". Mani comes out and sees Adi.
Mani - Arrey Adi? Kuch chahiye?
Adi - nahi uncle, thank you :)
Mani smiles and leaves the place.
HOTEL (lift)
The lift gets stuck with a jerk, in between 7th and 6th floor. The lights turn off making the place dark and silent.
Ishita - Arrey! Yeh Kya huya?
Raman (shouts) - earthquake aaya! -_- dikhta nahi hai ki lift kharaab ho gayi hai. Yekin nahi aata ki five star hotel ka lift itna ghatiya kaise ho sakta.
Ishita - ab ho gayi hogi. Woh log ayenge nah. Aap hyper kyun ho rahe ho?
Raman - ek min. Main kaise bhool sakta hoon, overload ki wajah se bhi lift kharaab ho sakti hai. Aur thuso khaana. Din ba din phulti jaa rahi.
Ishita - Raman, yeh galat hai huh! Peheli baat, main Moti nahi hoon. Doosri baat, agar overload hota toh pehele hi warning mil jaata.
Raman - Arrey chup karo yaar. (He shouts out loud to make the people hear him.) Arrey Koyi zinda hai upar? Lift kharab ho gayi hai.
Raman takes out his phone to make a call to the reception.
Raman - yaar signal bhi nahi hai. Kya musibatt hai yaar.
Ishita - Raman, lift mein kabhi signal nahi reheta. Aap kyun pareshaan ho rahe ho, woh log karenge kuch. Waise bhi aap akele kahan ho, main hoon na aapke saath.
(Ishita holds Ramans shoulder and assures him.)
Raman - tum ho, usi baat ki toh chitna hai.
Ishita - dekho...
Raman (cutting her in between) - Arrey Koyi nikaalo yaar, kahan phasa diya madrasan ke saath.
Ishita - ek second! Aapko lift kharab hone se problem nahi hai, balki mere saath lift mein rukhne se problem.
Raman - aur nahi toh Kya?
Ishita - room mein toh badi romance soojh rahi thi. Ab Kya ho Gaya?
Raman - tumhari problem Kya hai? Baat baat pe Kaatne ko daurti ho.
(Shouts again) Arrey Koyi sun raha hai? Daure padh rahe hai yaar madrasan ko, nikaalo jaldi.
Ishita - aapse baat karna hi bekar hai.
(She goes and sits at one corner of the lift and murmurs to herself)
Ishita - (talking to herself) Koyi sensitivity hi nahi. Baat baat pe gussa. Ab lift kharab ho gayi hai, toh shaant raho, lekin nahi. Lift kharab ho toh gussa, room service aaya tab bhi gussa, romi ka call aaya us waqt bhi gussa. Inko bass ek wajah de do, aur gussa shuru.
Raman turns to her and gives a confused expression.
Raman - khud se Kya badbada rahi ho? Sach mein daure toh nahi padh rahe hai?
Ishita - baat matt karo aap.
Raman - Arrey yaar! Tum toh...
Suddenly they heard a voice from upper side for the lift.
Voice - sir? Aap log andar hi hai nah?
Raman - nahi! Chhed bana ke bhaagne ki koshish kar rahe hai. Abbey Haan yaar Andar hi hai, nikaalo jaldi.
Voice - don't worry sir! We're working on it. Jald hi lift chaalu ho jayengi.
Raman - tum logo ko main chhodunga nahi.
Voice - sorry for the inconvenience sir.
Raman - abbey, English matt jhaad aur jaake jaldi theek kar yaar lift ko.
Ishita - Thoda shanti se Kaam kiya karo kabhi. Harr baat pe gussa karna zaroori hai?
Raman - Haan Haan theek hai!
Ishita looks at Raman. He was sweating like anything. He sounded tired as well. She gets up and comes near him. She rubs his forehead with her pallu and asks softly, "aap theek ho?"
Raman - Haan! Sorry zyada chilla diya.
Raman strikes her hair locks and holds her tight near him. He rests his head on her shoulder.
Ishita notices Raman's tired tone. She finds him breathing after every word he spoke.
Ishita - aap sachchi theek ho? Aapko itna paseena kyun aa raha hai? Aur aap itna haap kyun rahe ho?
Raman lifts up his head and turns away from Ishita. Ishita makes him turn to her. He avoids eye contact and says "kuch nahi baba! Main theek hoon. Jab tak tum mere paas ho, mujhe kuch nahi ho sakta."
He holds her hands tightly to get a support. Ishita soon realises that Raman had a serious problem. She could feel it by the way he had held her. His eyes had turned red. He was sweating enormously. He was breathing in and breathing out numerous times, more that the normal rate. She holds him tight and supports him.
Ishita - Kya chhupa rahe ho aap Raman.
Raman - kuch (sigh) nahi (sigh) Ishita (sigh)
Raman almost collapses down. Ishita holds him tighter. Her eyes were watery and she sounded tensed. She knew what Raman was going through but wasn't sure about it. She held Raman tightly next to her. With a shaky voice she asked him.
Ishita - Raman! Kya ho raha hai aapko? (Almost crying)
Raman - Ishita, mujhe claustrophobia hai.
Ishita - Kya??? (She breaks down, yet supporting him to the most)

(Okay, I know guys, that most of you were expecting romance in the lift. I thought of doing the same. But then, there has already been a lot of romance in the previous parts, so I thought let's try something else. Every time we find Ishita falling sick and Raman helps her out, so I tried writing little differenly, where Raman falls sick and Ishita supports him. Please don't hit me for less romance this time :P
