Good evening to all assembled here.It is my pleasure and privilege to address this August gathering on the occasion of the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the Star Management Institute.- As part of this celebration a series of lectures have been arranged.
The topic I am going to deal with is Attitudes and Behaviour of Management Executives
Then Raman went on to elucidate the academic and theoretical aspects of his subject
He had prepared a short list of points for his reference .After the preamble he embarked upon the lecture in his own style
Point number one - All round aspect. a good Management quality is the ability have an idea of everything in totality.
And then he saw Ishita in a saree preening before the mirror , getting ready as he slyly glanced at her backside. He smiled and continued with a little more gusto to say that one should have eyes at the back of one's head too.
Point two-- his thoughts went back to the day when she had got into that green Chilka. Friends you must find a ways of fitting into the parameters you have set up. He thought of how Ishita had altered the dress and he remembered the needle prick and involuntarily said ouch.He waved the ouch away with a lift of his hand and a tilt of his head And caught back the slightly diverted attention of his audience.
Point three-- Always participate in the interests of your colleagues and employees. He thought of Kadwa Chauth and how he had kept Vrat for Ishita.and went on to say when she is resplendent in red-- what I mean to say appreciate those with whom you work -- There is b-- beauty in everything he said a little slowly.
He went on to the next point-- a little flushed You have to be firm and at the same time democratic in getting your point across., not like an-- and he thought of the time he had acted like an animal with Ishita- and for a moment dwelt on the prospect suppose he had carried out his threat---he paused, to wipe the slight perspiration on his brow and continued to say in a manly manner by doing the right thing you sometimes miss out on the basic thing. Some in the audience had a rather quizzical look. But then who would dare to question Sir.
Then he went to the next part.Opportunity is of utmost importance.Never let her go hold her tight, whatever may be the trigger , whatever the conditions, irrespective of the reason-- whether it be to show off ,to prove to another,to pacify a child ,in response to do and dare,-- in rain hail or snow hold her close to your heart and never let her go. Opportunity like a ship and a country is feminine Said somebody from the audience- but no Sir--Raman gave him an authoritative look and he sat down.I am giving these far fetched examples he said with much emphasis to make an impact on you ,to impress on you, for when you lose out on opportunity its like losing your world
IAnother point is that of being transparent and bold enough to stimulate interest and he thought about Ishita' bare white shoulders when she wore that off shoulders blouse to the hen party.Otherwise a modern man the memory made him wince,.He wished he had locked her up so at least Ashok and his men wouldn't have harassed her.She looks so vulnerable- must tell her to stick to her lousy blouses from now on-- From now on said Raman a little sternly. Then suddenly gave his audience a winning smile- well I'll change that one -- do not bare all- coming to think of it don't bare at all . Then to cover up he added ,well this is some recent thinking which I recently came across . You know with every new Management Guru new theories are put foreword.
In conclusion if any of you have dreams ,pipe dreams ,ambitions ,projects ,announce them, confess them.
Don't wait for the right moment when your heart is convinced one moment is as good as the rest.Tell her,-- I mean tell your team, whisper it in the ear I mean let it. be like Chinese whispers which goes around -then suddenly his eyes twinkled, lift her hair before you give her a peck or nibble at her ear and the thought made him smile again I mean don't let your confession I mean disclosure be just like a peck or a nibble It should be a full grown confession of your thoughts and feelings and dreams
Suddenly Raman heard a resounding applause as he got off the Dias after a brief Thank you to his listeners,in bit of a daze, surrounded by people .What a speech Sir straight from the Heart said one and all But in this vast crowd Raman felt suddenly lonely. He wanted to go back home to his Ishita
