Res. I need a moment to stop fangirling and put together some coherent thoughts that express my thoughts on this episode better then..👏 😕
---- EDIT----
Loved the post and collage... ALL of them! and Frost, he is amazing non? One of my favorites by him i must admit. Terrific job by all of you, as always! In the words of Ishita Raman Bhalla 'I am very impressed'.😆
So onto my my thoughts, apologies in advance- my brain seems to be a bit loopy today...
Admittedly, these days I watch the episodes with slight trepidation because I know what's coming and I don't want it. But i can't NOT watch... when I think about my addiction to this show and these characters it overwhelms me. I have no idea why I care so much about fictional characters and to be honest I tried very hard to resist. Definitely the first time I have felt so with an Indian drama. Joining IF was a huge deal for me because that was my first sign that I had completely given in... but this episode was a real reminder to me of why I fell for the show- and not just ISHRA but the entire YHM cast.
The overwhelming theme of this episode for me was family, both immediate and extended, both given and chosen.
First Abhimanyu- Ishu's chosen family. We've all heard a lot of complaining about their friendship- hey I've been one of those that have complained consistently. But this episode was a milestone one for this freindship for sure. We've all been in friendships with the opposite sex, in fact I've often said that sometimes guys make the best friends because they don't judge as much as certain girls. But society judges, and these last two episodes we had Shagun, and Ashok calling out Abhi and Ishu on their friendship. Though he watched while RKB replied to Shagun, Abhi himself responded to Ashok... and I loved it. 👏
Not just the slap itself but the reasoning for it- because of all of Ashok's accusations the one that burned the most was the stain of the friendship and
that's what caused the slap. And that's what lead to the threat. When your friend is being accused, when your friendship is being accused- you don't just sit back. So begins the redemption of Abhimanyu Raghav, at least for me... hopefully he doesn't go back to his meddling ways!😉
Next- Simm and her brothers! I've raved about my rediscovered love for Simmi recently I think but that scene where she tells Raman to punish Param and Romi then joins in... all I saw was pure Bhalla sibing's love! I could finally see them as a unit after so long... could see how they must have been like as children. In this scene itself Simmi showed us that she is without a doubt, RKB's sister- and i am so glad to have the girl that we saw in the beginnings of YHM back. I felt like a gleeful spectator and a proud mama at the same time watching that scene! Welcome back Simmi, we have certainly missed you- please don't disappear again!😃
And of course- ISHRA. A very short scene, but oh so poignant. The queit conversation, the laying of the head, the mirroring guilt, the soothing touch... it was all so much in such a small scene. The level of comfort and affection these two have for eachother has come so far from where they were even three months ago. Do you remember after the Param fiasco when Raman went to get her back , how she tugged his sleeve, how they shook hands after she found out she got her job back- compare it to now. The familiarity of the other's touch, the comfort and ease of it... it says so much more then words ever could. Bravo to DIVAN on that!
So we had the guilt trip session and Ishu did her best to make him see reeason but we all know where this is headed, atleast for a while.😕 The most we can hope for is that in the wake of his guilt, his sacrifice, RKB takes a moment to stop listening to others' words about their relationship, stop listening to his own thoughts stained by the betrayals of the past and listens to the words of the only one that matters, the one who his decision affects- Ishu. She knows her man and is trying her best to deflect his guilt... i just hope that when he gives into it she is smart enough to remember how and who he is and strong enough to fight for him. As I said in every other post i made about this issue -if this separation/MU/Shagun/New girl mess is to come, please let it it be a fair fight- we need RKB vs JKR not that brainless flighty female of the Mani track.
I also loved the Mihir-Raman spot and the Bhalla- Iyer family unity but this post is already getting too long and I am sure others can say this much better then me. I already feel like this is a free flow ramble post as it is. So to those relationship developments, to those relationship monumental moments portrayed in this episode i will say 👏👍🏼
... sometimes emoticons say it better anyway.😉
