Flowers of Autumn

OS

It has been six years since Shagun mamma left their family behind, and he in trail, to live with his mother and her boyfriend. Initially he missed his father, craved to spend time with him, go out with him to the fun city and play the gulli cricket or badminton, he missed his Daadi's loving pat and his Daadu's pampering, his chachu's secret and his bua's pakoras, but soon this gap was filled with the expensive gifts and loud pampering of his mother's boyfriend, Ashok, whom he initially hated and then came to accept and so much that he himself lied in court and went against his father, claiming without a second thought that he was but an abusive father and husband. Breaking Raman's heart million times, he never forgot that look on his face, a look that he had never thought to witness, there in court stood his father, Raman Bhalla the failure!

How happy he was until, his mother and her boyfriend started to think about his father more than their own relation, he was confused and irritated, he didn't know why his mother and her boyfriend were even caring about Raman when he was already left behind? And then came Ishita, the savior of Raman who fought and won Ruhi, his sister or rather her mother's second child with his father. He hated her, not because she took away Ruhi, for she meant nothing much, but because he could see anything but his father with someone else other than his mother! The hope of them ever uniting got over with his father's marriage with that wench, whom Ruhi calls, IshiMa.

Since Ishita entered their lives, the priorities and love that he held in his father's heart seemed to alter and divide, not between the wench and him but between Ruhi and him. He had seen how he was always more important for him than anyone else, but now it seemed that Ruhi was on same scale as he, and he hated this fact, he wanted to return to same place where he was initially for him, his father. But then, nothing seemed to make sense, nothing looked similar, nor the care, nor the love, nor the want, nor the hurt. Try as he might but now nothing seemed to affect his father more than his daughter, as it seemed and with addition to the affection that he had realized to notice in his father' eyes for he wench! He felt suffocated, more for himself than his mother.

Even though he hated Raman, but still that dire need to remain the most important person in his father's life was more than the next breath he took. He hurt him, to see if he affects him, yes he did. He hurt her to see who is more important for his father, his son or his new wife, and he found he was more important. But now equations seemed to change, everything seemed to affect his father that was related with the wench, he even threatened to send him to jail for her, he didn't even flinch! And now he felt that the crumbles of his family had finally blown away and all that was left was the new walls to build a new home.

***

His life was a wreak, only if he knew how to control the damage further he would have done anything to make it worth cherishing, but he knew that now he couldn't do anything.

His son, whom he loved way more than anyone in the world was broken, lost and was in dire need to be controlled and kept in a check on, he knew that he had partially lost him in his ex's hate towards him and her lust for money and power but he somehow didn't want his son to ruin his life because of his mother. His Adi was way more precious than procuration of his mother, and this fight for his son was worth fighting for, even if his son would hate him in the end, and would never want to see his face, even then he would go against his mother and fight it, and would give him a life that he deserves.

He couldn't believe that his son who was barely a teenager was getting on the path of being a criminal! That he was so adamant on punishing the one whom he hated in such a way! It was way too much, Shagun had spoiled his son, she had killed his innocence and filled his heart and mind with venom. And now only way he could bring his old Adi back was through the fierce fight with his son himself!

When that day, after seeing Ishita all broken, he felt that someone had ripped his heart, but when he confronted his son that night, he felt his soul wreaked! He felt disgusted and ashamed of himself that his own blood was responsible for the hell his selfless wife, his love, a woman was going through! It was his own son who was responsible for her condition, for defaming a woman in such an abrasive way!

What has become of him? Only if his son also had a company of someone like Ishita, as his daughter, than he would have been a different person.

***

A shiver ran through her spine as once again the memory passed of the drunken men passing comments on her and were trying to get close and touch her. How dirty the mere thought was, her eyes were filled with unshed tears, she didn't know what to think, she didn't know why it happened or who did it, but she didn't want to think also, she just wanted to forget instead, this incident had shaken her to the core and now all she wanted to was move away from its mere memory, not that she was weak, but because it disgusted her, the mere thought filled her with hate!

Only if Raman had not entered at the right time, she would have broken down completely, she just wanted him, her solace, her peace, her security, her strength, she just wanted to hold him to make herself believe that he was there for her, that he won't let anything happen to her, that he would protect her from the world.

But she knew that like her, he was also shaken, she could feel it in his demeanor, but she had nothing to console him this time, she was too broken and shaken to say anything humble that could help him calm. She knew that Raman was a strong man, she had never seen him so shaken and helpless, but that day she saw his vulnerability when he pushing Mani went up and grilled the man who had dared to touch her, breaking his limbs, thrashing him, throwing him, and beating him black and blue. It was not because she was shaken; it was because that hound had touched his pride, his vulnerability, his love, his wife! Because he insulted his Ishita, the woman whom he had come to respect, who was so selfless, who was much more innocent and pure than anyone he had known.

She wondered, in the silence of the room, if there would ever come a phase when the conjoint angles of her life, with her husband and his son would finally find a way through her. A time when she could just sit and smile and think as she might of this unpleasant memory but nothing would ever give way to such a vile one but would be rather surrounded by the pleasant memories of all of them, sometime in future.

Now all she wanted was, was to replace all the worst memories of her life with the pleasant memories with her families, her children and solace in arms of her man, her husband. Someday... she wished to fill her life's Autumn with the new happiness.

Okay that's it!

I hope you liked it...

I don't know what it was... um... just a thoughts I think regarding the same track... though I hate Adi for his not-so-innocent-deeds, but still yesterday's episode implored some facts that I felt to be thought about.

Adi yesterday was great and his aggression was awesome! I liked his vulnerability, it was so natural, though as usual he is not that great in acting as Ruhanika but he's not worst!

I loved the way they showed Raman's helplessness regarding Adi, and it made me write it!
