Appreciation Post for Ruheen
Wonderful as usual, Gan! Love the way you were able to capture the juxtaposition of those two moments today...and, well, what can I say about those lines from The Notebook? Perfect. 😳For a couple whose marriage was started as a compromise that excluded any expectation on their own relationship...they have covered a lot of distance into their own bonding, understanding and were standing at the precipice of a marriage in true sense, between a couple who are deeply in love with each other, are each other's companion in happiness and otherwise. To make the journey through their present into their future together, they have to jointly deal with the issues of his past which are like roadblocks...to make it truly a journey of theirs. These lines are beatiful, Gan...very aptly said. That car ride home was everything. Love the parallels you drew here.
Tank u tank u (toshijee style😉)***Raman has been dealing with his problems alone for so long, that he doesn't quite believe that he actually has someone to share them with now.His guilt over his son's actions is understandable, but he forgets that Adi is her son too. She once told him that Adi is as much her responsibility as he is his. Did he not quite believe that just maybe, she was not saying that just to say it? That she actually meant those words? How heartbreaking, that this man has been shouldering all his sorrows and anguish alone all these years; blaming himself for the mess he's made of his children's lives...his family. How overwhelming it must be for him to know that now, and forever, he has her by his side and that he no longer has to face it all alone. today Karan's restrained acting just touched my heart...so much was expressed in his eyes with no glycerine...just with pure emotions expressed in them...(disclaimer: this is not puttar fangirling that you guys do...this is unadulterated sau pratishad shudh KP fanwoman talk😉😆)[Side Note: He's got to be flummoxed by this woman's ability to give and forgive. Her love is so deep and all-encompassing. It's awe-inspiring.]It's like Ishita said to Mani today - they are married! On that day, merely 8 months ago, their lives intertwined forever. From that moment on, what's his is hers, the good and the bad...and vice versa.Yesterday was all about silent confessions of love. Today, we were reminded that love is not enough to sustain a relationship. There has to be a mutual and shared responsibility...towards each other, and the life you are trying to build together. So true! Now Raman needs to get into the program of this 'ours'..he I believe still feels guilty ...***My lines for today:"Its one thing to fall in love. It's another to feel someone else fall in love with you, and to feel a responsibility toward that love."- David Levithan"I wanted to be his life preserver, the thing that would keep him afloat. Instead, he became my anchor. And I'm tired of drowning."- Amanda Grace...and the lines I posted in Sia's thread:Tera Saath Hain To, Muje Kyaa Kami HainAndhero Se Bhi, Mil Rahi Roshani HainKuchh Bhi Nahi Hain To, Koi Gham Nahi HainHar Ek Bebasi, Ban Gayi Chaandani Hain- Tera Saath Hai To...Pyaasa Sawan

Happy is the moment, when we sit together,
With two forms, two faces, yet one soul,
you and I.
The flowers will bloom forever,
The birds will sing their eternal song,
The moment we enter the garden,
you and I.
The stars of heaven will come out to watch us,
And we will show them
the light of a full moon -
you and I.
No more thought of "you" and "I."
Just the bliss of union -
Joyous, alive, free of care, you and I.
All the bright-winged birds of heaven
Will swoop down to drink of our sweet water -
The tears of our laughter, you and I.
What a miracle of fate, us sitting here.
Even at the opposite ends of the earth
We would still be together, you and I.
We have one form in this world,
another in the next.
To us belongs an eternal heaven,
the endless delight of you and I.

Ahhh my dear romantic cousin, usually I just tell you on our chat how beautiful you write but today i feel like replying here..Seriously that quote is amazing!!! I am going to steal it..And this line "Today, we were reminded that love is not enough to sustain a relationship. There has to be a mutual and shared responsibility...towards each other, and the life you are trying to build together. "So often we hear about people talking about love, there are numerous quotes/books/novels about falling in love, remaining in love..Its everywhere and yet no one understands it. I often think of love as the most overexplored and the least understood emotion? But I think you put it perfectly, love is NEVER enough! Love is a factor yes, but it has to go hand in hand with trust, loyalty, shared responsibility, understanding etc. And that's why I love this show, their relationship was not built on love, it started with shared responisibility which eventually brought in the trust, friendship and understanding. Even without the love, their marriage was more ideal with more depth then Raman and Shagun's marriage. In fact, for Raman and Ishita, the last factor was Love and that just sweetens the "lifelong waali deal" so so much more.Actually a little anecdote that my grandmother once told me a long time ago, that marriages are like boiling water, if you start off with only love as a foundation, then that boiling water will over too fast and you will be left with nothing..However if you start off with mutual understanding, trust and then add love, the boiling water will simmer for a longer amount of time without boiling over.Does that make sense? Sorry she said it in gujarati and this is my best translation.

I love how all of us are here not talking only talking about the show but going off on a tangent to talk about Love, Marriage, trust etc.
Say what you will about this show, but the fact that it can provoke sooo many people to think intellectually, philosophically and explore/challenge their own opinions- that show is really something :-)AND it really helps that Karan Patel is by far one of the sexiest man alive- just makes these discussions more fun:)😆😳😳
G, you have juxtaposed those photos perfectly. They tell the story even without any need for word. And what a beautiful heartwarming story it is too.
Every new post of yours reminds me of why I love Ishra - and makes me fall more in love with them.

I LOVED that she straight out told Mani, Raman will be there for me- i hope she calls him out on all his crap [Mani, I mean] very soon!😡 Tell me about it my realationship with Mani is very black and white ..as in I dont like the guy...no matter how nice he is...his character doesnt make sense to me...I dont care if he's cupid... if he's Raghav(as in Ram as in God 😆)...he's just an intrusion and one that made puttar lose sleep for so many days😡
Actually todays episode gave me hope for the upcoming track because she knew right away he would be blaming himself and calmed him down- she gets him and loves him. i hope that she holds on to that and reacts similarly when he tries to push her out of his life... fight back, be a real JKR !😃 Yes the way they are building the track leading to the promo...there is a logical flow...not the crazies we saw during the jealousy track where RR was show as omnipresent to create unnecessary drama leading into MU.
---- is it too much to hope that this track will last for only 2 weeks max - because then the 1 year anniversary will hit and i want a happy anniversary with a confession...🥳 Tumhare mooh mein ghee shakkar😃
