"I'm not like he is, you know," he tells me,
but that isn't the part that stirs my cold, dead heart.
It's the words he follows it up with a second later,
as though it barely takes him anything to let them out:
"So if you want to run, run.
I won't sit on the side-lines and wait for you to slip away,
like you never existed."
He pauses, thickly. Takes a second, in a way I can understand.
"I'll fight for you, El. I'll always fight for you."

Raman's love for Ishita is possessive, he wants her all for himself...and he desperately wants to be THE man in Ishita's life: her go-to person, confidante...the person who she hugs openly, or holds hands. He wants to have what Mani shares with Ishita. He wants to exercise his haq on her and Ishita to exert her haq on him(thanks aishu_divan for this 😊).

Every rejection from her has been a brutal blow to that feeling. All his actions are rooted in that feeling. Yesterday, he promised her that he was not going to stand by one corner and let his heart be trampled one more time. This now has become his junoon: He'll not let go of the one, who is his..to love and to hold.

Every single thing he uttered reflected his inner burn...his grit of not letting it go easy. He's going to fight for his marriage, his love. His Ishita.

A lot was said today, by Raman. If his speech had not opened a gaping hole in Ishita's heart, if his extreme actions and words trying to hurt Ishita for her 'betrayal' had not happened in their bedroom the previous night...if the wall of misunderstanding that stood tall in between them were not there... Ishita would have listened to the plea from his heart, felt his anguish, his desperation and understood that those are not the words of a man who is insensitive but of her Raman, who is not tied to his ex...but is suffering from the woes of his present, which is tied to her.

Both stood on their ground of misunderstanding, languishing in the pain of unrequited love
.

Note:
It was a bit of too much happening too fast episode. Enjoyed the confrontation in the beginning. Rest..I'll wait to see what CVs make Mani do now.😆

( updated in a hurry..I hope I made sense)

P.S . Was not too happy with the title.. Hence the change 😆

G, Loved the quote! What an apt fit for the episode and your collage!

What a heart breaking but a necessary episode. We saw an aspect of marriage that is ugly, messy and very unflattering but is part of reality. There was a glimpse of possessiveness, ownership, rights and relationship boundaries in Ishra's relationship.

Raman started spewing words of possessiveness and ownership as soon as he saw his Ishita with someone else. All of a sudden Ishita become meri biwi, and he became a husband up all night looking for HIS wife, funny how he didn't even realize when Ruhi's Ishima became HIS wife. The wife he thinks he owns because now she has became an object, that is threatened to be whisked away by a stranger. Ishita now has became a thing' he wants to own, an exclusive thing he wants to himself, and a thing he wants to love. Puttar needs to realize love isn't a commodity he can own, he needs to feel it and express it.

Ishita, obviously is in love with her husband but is so hurt that her ego takes precedence over the calm and composed wife. With disgust in her eyes, she refuses to even look at his eyes, she sees him speak words but nothing registers because she is so preoccupied by the hurt.

Last night, a lot of talking was done at each other instead of talking to each other; as soon as these unfortunate lovers start talking TO each other the misunderstandings will vanish.

"The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." - George Bernard Shaw

Let's hope they talk to each other today!

Awesome Gan ...RKB dialogue reminded me of this song 😳

O tune thukraya tha jis dil ko kisi ki khatir
Aaj us dil me bhagawat ke siva kuch bhi nahi
Jinme sapne the tere pyar ke aye janewafa
Aaj un aankho me nafrat ke siva kuch bhi nahi
Pyar ki aag me sang dil me jala hu kitna
Tujhko utna na jalaya to mera naam nahi
Tujhko apna na banaya to mera naam nahi...

Aaj tu gair sahi pyar se bair sahi
Teri aankho me koi pyar ka paigam nahi
Tujhko apna na banaya to mera naam nahi...

G- Lovely title - makes a lot of sense and needless to say an awesome edit.👏

Love is not possessive. It does not claim ownership of another's heart.
Love is a liberator; so that another's heart is set free to love back -Stephen McDonough

Two people in love. Unable to express, misunderstood.

She thought he is unable to get over his first love.
She is right. What she didn't understand is that she is his first and only love.

He thought she found love.
He was right. But he did not understand that it was he whom she loved.

He wanted to be her Man, her husband, her only one.He was unable to see her holding hands with someone else.
Unable to see her smile because of someone else. Unable to accept someone else as her go-to man.

He just couldn't let her go like he did in the past. He was besotted then. But is in love now.
He had learnt to live, learnt to smile, learnt to be at peace because of her.
He had learnt to love.
How could he just let his love walk away.
But in his angst, he forgot that Love was all about giving. Not owning.
Both stood there telling what the other did, but not understanding why they did it.
They remained misunderstood. All they have to do is open up.
The day they talk about themselves to the other, their love will be complete.

Lovely collage Gan😃..And a very beautiful post😊..Yes I could sense the possessive RKB..This is the RKB who is longing for his JKR to exert her haq on him..He so badly wants to be the conifdante of her life, but the walls of misunderstanding in his mind have created havoc in him, wrecked and completely shattered him😭..If only Ishu could hear his unspoken words..or even feel the pain by just looking into his eyes..Today's episode gave a ray of hope for me towards ISHRA relationship😊..I hope all these walls of misunderstanding, chaos and confusion are broken soon and praying for a stronger ISHRA bond❤️..As for Mani, I have only one message 'Please parcel him back to Turkey ASAP'..😡😆

Beautiful as usual 😳
I knew Ishita will use her anger of the recent hurt that Ravan gave her over his Ram deeds 😆

Raman's pleas fell on deaf ears 😳

My problem is not Ishita fighting with Raman, my problem is with Mani's Ishu 🤢 I really hate this manifestation of Ishita into being only Best Friend of Mani.

Her dialogue of taunting RKB was ok but then she need not say that Thanku mani for all that u have done for bhalla household while my husband was drunk and sloshed up in bed 😆 I was like ya Mr bhalla was dead and so was Mihir 😛

This is not the Ishita we know who would purposefully taunt Raman to show him down. 😊

But m still hopeful for a proper end of this track.

Gan I am not sure what I love more today - the quote, the collage or the title..the title I think wins it for me more cause it just describes the way he feels for her to the T. This is JUNOON - through and through - not in a creepy, obsessive, stalkerish way of course 😆 but the kind where Love, true love is limitless.

I have always been of the mind that Raman' feelings for Shagun were that of a boy - somewhat more like an infatuation and the fact that he was this geeky guy and she such a beautiful girl always reigned supreme on his mind, he wasnt an equal in that relationship - he was the passive partner, the follower and she ruled over him...he was in love with the idea of being in love with her but slowly that idea started diminishing as he got acquainted with the truth of what Shagun is as a person as he got to know her yet he let her dominate him scared of losing her, scared that who would want him...he always had assumed it was too good to be true that someone like him got someone like her and the idea that his thoughts would translate into reality scared him, though once that happened he realized - he was foolish enough to indulge in fantasies, to consider that life is a fairytale or a bed of roses and the good guy always win in the end or that love conquers all..because in the end, where he was concerned the bad guy won, love failed..or the idea of love failed.

He once said to Ishita - pehle pyaar ke maayne sabke liye alag hote hai - to me it always said - his first love, his true love in fact the only love of his life is Ishita - she is the love of his life and no one can take that mantle from her.

The boy had become a man by the time he met her and was jaded and became a cynic, he had lost out the notion that the world is perfect or that life is or can be beautiful. He assumed he knew it all - only to have him questioning his new found faith and beliefs - she made him fall in love with her. She was everything he wanted always, everything that he looked for and never found in the one he thought was meant to be his forever.

Raman Bhalla truly fell in love when he met her - a man fell in love with a woman, this was not a boy' fantasy but a man' reality.

Now that he knows what is at stake he cant afford to lose her. He cant lose what brought him back to lfe with her and will move heaven and earth to not lose his love - if this isnt Junoon I dont know waht is.
