Dumb: Ishita.
For once, I will go with the majority of the forum and categorise Ishita as dumb.
Although I still don't agree that she is characterless, that her friendship with Mani is abnormal,
that her behavior with Raman is obnoxious as per so many posts on the forum.
But she is dumb, because she is the most innocent soul on earth, she is nave , she serves Bhalla
family with all her heart without any expectations from them, she loves Raman with all her soul, even with her belief that Raman still loves Shagun. And again, it is Raman's failing that she is led to believe this, his failing in treating her right, giving her the love, respect and position she deserves.
And she is dumb, dumb to take all this, and more and still care for him, think about him every second. She doesn't realize in her innocent conversations with a friend about her husband, that her husband is watching her , like a hawk, in all his negative, insecure glory, to prove her wrong, to prove her immoral, coz he is a bechara and that's what he deserves in life - another betrayal.
Who can be dumber?
Well, there is a candidate.
Dumber: Raman
Yes, he is dumber than Ishita.
For eternity, he loved Shagun not realizing she was a two-timing , conniving bitch. For eternity he worshipped Shagun, not realizing she doesn't give a sh*t about him. For eternity, he did not love Ishita, coz he was stuck with Shagun. For eternity, he ill-treated Ishita , for no fault of hers, he gave her only what she did not deserve and never gave her anything more, just insults, rebukes, abuses. And then Raman fell.
He fell in love with Ishita, but for eternity, he did not believe himself and his feelings. For eternity, he did not confess to the other person, that is fine, but he could not even make that person believe, that he has feelings for her, quite the opposite. Yet, she loves him, with everything she has, she loves him, and that's the only way she knows how to.
And he is so dumb that he doesn't realize, feel an iota of this love, in his blind despair, to prove every woman is Shagun, to prove that he is a bechara, to prove that he is the victim, everytime, each time. And he did not even think twice before hurting Ishu today in his speech, a speech which he gave for the whole world, before confronting her, before talking to his family, he decided to sel her fate. And whose fate is he sealing?
The dumb Raman doesn't know - it is his love he has rebuked today.
How can he even THINK, let alone pass the final judgement, of equalizing Ishita with Shagun?

Well, there is a another candidate.
Dumbest: Shagun
Need I say anything on her? She left Raman for Ashok. She believes Ashok loves her. She left her brother for so long and now that she is united and her sister-in-law Mihika is doing so much for her, she still feels the need to butt into Raman's business yet again. Forget Mihika, she owes a lot to Raman and Ishita, specially Ishita , but she still feels the need to poison Ramans' mind against her? Does she have no moral standing at all?
One could sympathise with her and say, she behaved the way she did bcoz she was insecure about her stature with Ashok, but what about now? Why doe she go around backbiting Ishu for nothing. She is so dumb, that she will even feel proud of Raman's speech, she got credit, in whichever shape or form does not matter. She is right. When Ishita was not even looked at in the party by Raman, he took Shagun's name on the stage, she is in his sub-conscious, she will always be there. All of Ishita's efforts to heal him have gone in vain, coz he doesn't want to be healed, he is happy with his bechara status - and his belief - every woman is a bitch like Shagun.
And she is fuelling this weakness of Raman, is she being dumb, well, Ashoka is already looking for reasons to drop her, might she give him a solid one?
