A small girl looked up and about. Trying to understand why life was being so difficult.

She saw her friends with their parents. But she hardly saw her mother and her father too was a rare sight.

Her grandparents, uncle and aunts doted on her. But why did her parents shun her.

More importantly she didn't know the meaning of a parent. She hadn't felt the presence of one in her life

She yearned for her father's attention. Irked him just to get a reaction, to let him know her presence. Only to get disappointed

A Fairy entered her life and took her into her arms. She realized how a mother's love must feel.

How a mother protects you from harm. How a mother prioritizes you over everything.

She looked up to her for every single problem knowing she will never be shunned.

She learnt the simple joys of life. She learned to live.

A mother helped her solve her little problems which wouldn't have been in her life, had she been there.

The fairy taught her the simple lessons on how to eat, how to behave, appreciating her small improvements.

She stood by her and calmed her when she was scared. She was there for her, when no one else was.

The fairy held her hand and guided her that day, but she entered her heart for a lifetime.

She knew the fairy was her MOTHER.

A child got her childhood. A woman got her motherhood. A man - a few lessons on parenthood.

So I finally got around to editing this one.

This scene is a dear one to me, a little girl who is still growing and learning how to be a little lady dressed as a princess tiara and all has it all except for a mother, she is scared a little, a little uneasy in the surroundings she is in, until she spots the woman who even when she was a mere neighbor to her made her feel safe and loved.

The girl sits around on a table with her father and others but it is when her eyes spot that familiar face, that sweet smile her nerves are calmed down and she knows without a shot of a doubt she will be fine, she will be alright...and that smiling face, those loving eyes let her know that without any words, her faith will be treasured. That smile had made her feel safe and sound like one does in their mother' arms, knowing nothing can harm you as long as your mother holds you.😳

She is guided by her mother even before the little girl can start addressing her so on that day, the word was still a little far away from them; but in their hearts - a daughter had found a mother and a mother had gained her child...
