It had to be Mani who said it because Raman doesn't consider his family's advise or opinion he would have told them to shut up and walked out like on many occasion he did with his parents .He doesn't actually hear anybody out .He has good intentions but he needs to stop and hear what others has to say .

I think No one has got right to tell if he is right or wrong, its only Ishita who has got that right and vice versa. And especially not Mani, not just because I am jealous of him for being too close to Ishita and standing like a hurdle between IshRa, but also because he doesn't know any thing about IshRa relationship... He doesn't know that in relationships one is not called failure if one is still on the way of exploration, rather a Friend who thinks he is the guardian of the wife of someone needs that kind of reality check!

And I hated the way Mani accused Raman of being a FAILURE in relationship! It hurt, it really really hurt! His rude tone and his looking down at him, his baseless anger, just because he was spiked up by that bloody-sorry-excuse -of-a-man, Ashok!

I am even angry at Ishita, that all these days she not only complained to him about Raman and cursed him but never once praised his good deeds. And well the most surprising thing that I felt was, US as viewers felt his care, concern and love for Ishita while he was bashing everyone on his way and scolding anyone and everyone and even Ishita, but Mani found him only as a FAILURE!!! Or is he trying to prove it at any point that Raman is a selfish man, just because now he soon will find that he himself was in love with Ishita all this while?

very nice and balanced post 👏👏

Disagree... :) Raman needed an outsider's perspective, like someone else said. Raman needed to be given a reality check on not what their relation is, but how their relation is. Everyone else, like many oc us here know Raman well. They know that all his arrogance is just a facade. Nobody doesn't even consider, probably not even Ishita, that Raman does become a bit too much at times.Everyone is used to the nok-jhok, that they ignore even when it goes overboard. Raman needs to be told how he is not treatinv someone properly, by someone with an objective view point, with only Ishita's happiness in mind. Ofcourde, he hasn't been there through all the troubles she had, but let's not forget that he IS an outsider. Ishita probably never even told him about troubles in her family life. He knows her well, and I don't think he has any serious ulterior motives to hadapofy Ishu from Raman. He's a cupid third party yr, not a villain third partu. Let's just sit back and enjoy IshRa going through all the phases of realisation! :)

And how he spoke his mind...it is only when raman pushed it too far that he told him that in BUILDING a relationship in his marriage he has been a failure. Which is true! Even raman knows its true..." "she tried to fit into my family and what did I do..I just kept making fun of her"...which is putting it mildly!! His selective memory is only of this navratri and associated ritual. He is still clueless about the constant verbal diahrrea he does on Ishita. Romi pointed it out but did it register?

Raman is trying to convince himself more than Mani that he has been "there" for Ishita. Yes he has. Once. When he get her licence back. Amma accident doesn't count coz as soon as adi came into the picture, he will do anything for shagun. He did then and he will again.

We are all un-neccesarily getting hung up on mani. Just wait till shagun is dumped by the poplu and bhoplu brothers, raman/shagun track is coming...adi ke liye as usual.

This is a very thoughtful post

I fully agree. His son is his greatest weakness, to the point of completely debilitating him😭
I am totally sick of his verbal abuse. I quit finding it funny a while ago. It is not in line with the "CEO" he supposedly claims to be
