Oh Man ! Such an insight Ruby !!

Not only Shagun and Ishita but the four main characters of YHM are insecure which includes Raman and Ashok in the list. The only difference is that ladies were seeding this insecurity from the path of start while the men were forced to sow the seed due to The only lady shagun.
Raman's baggage of past made him work like mad man , not to achieve laurels but to fill in insecurity of still falling short of Ashok in terms of everything. While with Ashok, its opposite. He never had doubts of oneself but Raman's growing power made him insecure of losing shagun to Raman because of him knowing shagun so well .
And then began the game of conquering insecurities. Ishita is the only one here who choose to bury it deep down and let the love of others take its place while the three were constantly in equilibrium of fulfilling/fueling their insecurities. Shagun made everyone cringe with her antics and honestly, she is not in love with Ashok, she just wants Ashok like a kid who demands for his object of choice, for even which he could lie down crying and Shagun is doing just the same. Ashok fulfilled her desire of becoming rich, of making into the elite society and living a life on her terms for herself. She is very well aware that if bychance she comes back to Raman, the life is not going to be hers like she wanted. As rightly said by you and Raman as he explained to Mihir, that she is holding him just to remain in the eyes of Ashok.
Ashok, well he confuses me. Sometimes he is insanely worried about Shagun's growing interest in Raman and sometime he gives a damn. He is surely someone who doesnt have the brain of his own. Suraj is ruling him now and very clearly its showing effects. He is able to look past Shagun and lands his eyes on Mihika. Not because it will make Shagun jealous but it will have the effect of ruining Raman's peace of mind as Raman's peace lies in Ishita.
And Raman, well he has grown as a character. From the nerdy boy to CEO and somehow back to nerdy boy. Full circle.
And when this vicious circle breaks, there will be no looking back and Ishita will the one to do that.
Yesterday, admist everything his conversation with Murli had deeper meaning to perceive. "Tumhare jaise ladke jinhe pasand karte hain, hum jaise log unhe le jaate hain." And then he slowed down. Was he becoming another Ashok in murli's life or will he consider himself becoming Murli when he gets to know the real Mani. Always, he has to go through this vicious circle. But as this track ends I hope Ishita could instill in Raman the feeling of security that it brings out Happy Bhalla back, not confined to walls of his room but to the world outside.

And then comes Ishita. My favourite character of the show. She has layers of insecurity- insecurity for not able to conceive, insecurity due to Raman's past, insecurity of her looking average in front of Shagun, insecurity due to delicate relationship with Raman.
She enjoys Raman's attention while his disinterest resurfaces the turmoil of her heart. Like yesterday, she was all chirpy in the morning not because of receiving text from Mani but because she could spot the similar situation of Raman as was hers due to Sanjana. While as sunset , she again laid her heart open "Aapse mohabbat toh nai maangi" This line says everything about her while the same line opened doors of restlessness in Raman. Like you said.

Shagun and Ishita are gonna go parallel because the person both eye for is same. One does for herself while other for love.
It is gonna be interesting to see the pandara box opening in the furture.

Ok, I blabbered a lot. Hopefully did make sense :)
Sorry for th errors, typing via phne.

You have laid out Shagun's character in such a way, that she has started to fascinate me. 😆 Shagun is unreal but at the same time there are people who exists like her, as narcissistic as her! except they don't spend their life plotting and planning as elaborately both Shagun and Ashok do. Am I making sense? 🤔
Like you said this is not jealousy track, it's just been mixed in to achieve the main goal and that's why everyone's separation post is surprising me to no end. Honestly, if it was all about Raman not trusting Ishu then what do they think Param track was about. (Sorry for venting Ruby, but I had to let this frustration out somewhere.)
Jeez I loved the fact that you said all she needs to do is keep him and the best part is, Raman thinks he has to be the Alpha male to be accepted by her, but in reality what Ishu loves and will be accepting is the Happy Bhalla in him. That whatever he is, however he is, he is Ishita's Raman.

yo fellow Gulabo Gang member ...

I hope this track ends in confession .. its pointing towards a confession ... oh here u are making me say it ... i thot of doing this during the confession post .. but chalo will put it right here ...

Ishita .. who already has realised she is in love Raman ... wants to now catch a glimpse of that love in him .. she gets a breakthru when she feels his jealousy ... but the next moment like always Raman is back to showing a nonchalant attitude ...

So lets back track a bit ... he has said I love u to her twice .. 1. rain hug, 2. wrist hurt ...both times within a couple of seconds after he said the words ... he took them back ... the second time he confused her big time ..

She blurts out .. " i have never asked or demanded anything from u .. i have not even asked u for LOVE" In the morning of the same day she says .. Meet Mani . u will fall in love with him ...

the word love came out of her mouth twice in one day ..but both times it was not a reflection of her feelings for him ... he knows she loves him .. he is sure of it ... but she has backed out now ...

This was called travelling full circle on a script ...

he has said i love u to her twice ... but both times he backed away ... today he is at the threshold of making her say the words to him .. I love u .. so that he may FINALLY UTTER THE WORDS RIGHT BACK ... I LOVE YOU .. & here she threw it back in his face ..

Now hear his dialogs after she says the words ... if u have no expectations from me ...

Oh yes these 2 should head for confession .. the track has been moving towards that ...
But having said that .dunno about consummation .. will they make it a big deal & give some time to it .. let the viewer witness the passion grow .. or will it simply be a closed door ... & moving on ..

Vent away .. u know my views on people who Speculate .. 😉
i totally understand i think i read that post as well .. & had the same thots .. what was the Param fiasco all about .. it was a separation of less than a day .. & they came together .. they actually spent a lot of time together on the day they were supposed to be separated ...

Just take it with a pinch of salt .. separation or no separation .. focussing on what may or may not happen actually takes away from the beauty of the current .. i see so many people busy speculating about future episodes ..that they miss out on the special nuances of the current episode

I say .. enjoy the present .. jo hoga dekh lenge ...

A big fat reserve. Need to read this post a number of times. Before I can articulate my own thoughts. Wonderful Ruby 🤗 Will edit it soon.

I am sorry, I am editing so late. Been busy

Okay so your post actually leaves nothing to be said. Because you understand the track so well yourself, that its hard to put in anything after that.

But I'll just put down what I think about the track right now. Both the tracks.

Although YHM is all about IshRa. The two people's lives, behaviours and characteristics they do follow are Ishita and Shaguns. They've always highlighted the differences between them two. And the tracks that show up on our screens are a result of that itself.

Where Shagun loses, Ishita wins. Both these woman are related to one man, Raman. And like you pointed out. Where one track is all about Raman and Ishita coming closer. The other is about Raman moving on from his past. Every problem that has cropped up in their life has gotten Raman and Ishita come closer and understand each other. And the same problem has helped Raman detach from his past life a step further.

Ishita is a selfless woman, Shagun a selfish one. Her life revolves around herself and if she wants something she has to have it. Whereas Ishita does not want or expect for anything. If she doesn't get what she desires, she learns to cope with it, and if she does get something unexpected she values it.

Where one woman broke the Happy Bhalla. The other appreciates him for what he is deep down and not the mask he wears. One wounded him, the other heals him.

From whatever I've understood of the stories, tracks and the way they are connected. I see nothing but Mohabbatein, when it comes to IshRa. Of course there are issues, of course there will always be something to hamper the calm in their life. But what's important is, that they've learnt to trust, depend and heal each other and no one and nothing can take that.

The last 240 episodes have been a journey towards these lost souls healing and getting over their pasts. And that all hasn't been done for it to go waste. So when people crib and worry about the impending doom in their life. They need to stop and think, that Raman and Ishita have moved on from the dark shadows of their past. And if they ever come across their past again and are made to face an ordeal, they'll only come out stronger after realizing how much they mean to the other.

Shagun's character is synonymous with many out there in the real world Narcissistic to the T.. as u said insecurities have a tendency to manifest themselves in various ways...Ishita is the polar opposite..upbringing I guess..both mom's are portrayed to have different is approaches to life too..

Seatbelt's fastened for the YHM ride to confession... going by this week's episodes it is going to be an enthralling watch.

Looking forward to reading more👏

Thank u 🤗

Totally agree on YHM being a deviation to the normal soap drama v see on Tv ... its brilliantly layered ... as a viewer if u only skim the first obvious layer ... for e.g. .. if u see this as simple jealousy ... ur happy .. its fun & entertaining .. & its progress ...
but if ur evolved & delved into the layers below the obvious .. it blows u away a little bit more ..

Shagun is a study yaar ... i so love to uncover her layers .. but the beauty of the narrative is the CONTRAST ... 2 women with the same characteristic ... INSECURITY ... but both have used that basic nature & become 2 very different individuals ...

If you think this is going to lead to confession and your points prove that, well great, but I had hoped to see more touchy moments before that. Oh well, it's still good. 😆 We are probably gonna get some angsty moments like yesterday night before confession.

Arre but hopefully they spend time on it ..give us some more scenes of understanding between the 2 .. would love to see something like the gas scene .. it has fun but a message with it as well ..
but wud kill to see raman flirting with her ..

i don't think confession is this close by as well .. at least i hope not .. ( screen play is impossible to predict) but yes the track has to end in confession ..

U will get touchy moments ... u saw them yesterday .. when he felt how he hurt her .. as off now he has no clue on Mani .. let him see mani .. The man will surface .. he will become territorial .
'DOST' will come out of the shell soon 😉

Kudos Ruby! Thank you for treating us two posts yaar 😃 And as always the analysis is brilliant 👏
Going to post something that I shared with the G gang a few days ago regarding Shagun's personality. It is more or less in line with you've posted 😊

Shagun's character at times can leave Ashok/Suraj far behind in terms of kameengi and self-obsession. She essentially has a narcissistic personality, is selfish to the extent of being obsessed with herself. She also over the years has come to love the comforts that only money can provide. And that is her first priority. Her attachment to Ashok stems from the security that he'll always be there to ensure a constant flow of money for her. Her attitude with Ashok reiterates that she is the most important person in her life. Her dance at Mihir's engagement, trying to goad Raman at Holi, her suicide attempt...all helped in alienating Ashok from her. The final nail in the coffin was her reaching out to Raman in Adi's accident scenario, again insulting and humiliating Ashok. And then came the palak paneer, where again she cooks something that Ashok hates and is allergic to! The woman is so obsessed that she's oblivious to how she herself is burning all her bridges.

The other side of the coin is the sister who ran for her brother and the mother who was ready to take her son's blame. But like Mihir commented to Mihika to not to be fooled by her making pasta for him and mistake it for love or affection. She doesn't do anything out of love for another person, it is all to satisfy her inner wants. Helping Adi was again something she did to earn some brownie points with Raman and like you observed Ruby to reinforce to Ashok that she still has a hold on Raman. If it had come to actually taking the punishment for Adi I'm sure she would have bolted and come clean about it all!

A woman who walks out on her marriage leaving a six month old girl behind will always place herself first. And then she wants to be voted the best Mommy by that same girl six years later! Thinking that money is the solution to everything. A caricature of a woman who has no maternal emotions at all. When Adi was born, she lived in a joint family system that worked in her favour in helping to bring him up. Once he got to an age where he could be satisfied with material things it became much easier for her to bond with Adi and more importantly to make him dependent on her. Toy cars, chocolates...she spoilt him the way she wanted to be spoilt by Ashok and Adi believed that his mum was the best while his father did not care for him when all he was trying to do was to discipline him and teach him right from wrong. Once she took him with her she reiterated this to Adi and made him bitter against his own father. I do not resent Shagun's go at her happiness, I have a problem with the means she achieved it.

Your post on IshRa's journey is also bang on! This track will lead to their realisation and a declaration of their feelings. Trust is not the focus here as that has already been dealt with in the Param and Sanjana tracks. And I'm also glad the jealousy element is being handled with a comic touch. Ishita saw one side of Happy Bhalla when she overheard Mihir and Raman's balcony conversation. And that's the person who crumbled her last defences and opened her to the reality that she loved this man. Now Raman needs to know the same that it is the person in the nerdy, chussa hua aam aka Happy Bhalla that Ishita really loves. She loves her Raavan, Teekha and Mirchi Punjaabi but it's the rejected Happy Bhalla that she craves for and who'll fill her emotional void.

OMG Sophee ...

Our posts truly mirror each other ... aa jhappi paa .. another soul sister 🤗

U know to me ... love - true & pure love has to be shown as unconditional ... it has to be love with warts ^& all ... i loved the dialog that Mani utters .. " not fair don't compare"
because when u love a person .. u love them for every aspect of them ..

Its this unconditional love & full acceptance of RAMAN as a man ..warts , specs , mood swings , anger et all ... that she has to say I LOVE YOU to .. thats the day he will heal ... & that was the kind of love that ISHITA was the only one who is able to give him ...

Real unconditional love comes in anyones life thru their mother .. the one person in the world who loves u without expectations & despite ur faults ... Is it any wonder this tale was narrated with a woman who is the ultimate MOTHER .. ISHITA ... a woman who knows how to nurture
