They both came out of the car. Raman opened the bonnet and tried to look for the fault but it didnt work. "What will do now?" Asked worried Ishita. "Its 11 pm..we are late." "How do I know yrr?" Raman replied in irriated tone. He tried to look here and there but didnt find anyone. "Not even a single person nearby." He murmured. Then he saw a flash of light coming from some fields nearby. "Ishita you just wait here. I will be back in 5 minutes." Raman told her. "Should I come along?" Asked worried Ishita. "No no...stay here. Dont know what type of people might be there. You just sit inside the car and lock it. I'll see the rest." He replied back.

"Okk..." she said and headed towards the car door while he moved towardd the source of light. It was just when she was going to step inside the car, she felt a tug on her hand stopping her. Raman couldn't come so early, she looked in front to see a boy holding her hand stopping her. Along with the three, there were 4 other men..all looking at her in a disgusting way.

"Itni bhi kya jaldi hai madam...beithne ki?" The one holding her asked with a smirk on her face. The other meanwhile shifted her aside to shut the half opened door of the car blocking her way to enter and escape. Ishita tried to jerk his hand away "leave me...you bas***d" She said in an angry tone. They all just laughed at it. "And what if we dont leave you?" One more from the group said with a smirk touching her shoulder while she shrugged it off. As the other neared her, she pushed him away using all her might. He fell down and got fiercly angry. Grabbing her, he twisted her arm behind her back and pushed her to the car. Ishita felt hurt and cried out. He brought his face dangerously close to her while she turned hers sideways with a yuck expression. "Dekh..jyada hoshiyari mat kar varna bhot pitegi. Jo hume chahiye wo hme dede...fir tujhe jane denge. Tu bhi khush hum bhi khush."he spoke and then laughed while all other added in the laughter. Ishita got angrier. Controlling her tears, she took her free hand to slap him but the other one grabbed it in nick of time and pinched it hurting her all the more. The two men caught her from either side holdinv her firmly while they asked other to come. "Aaja bhai..ek ek karke sab pakdenge or maza lenge." They all lauhhed it. "Chodo mujhe. Jaane do" Ishita cried but no one listened to her. A guy inched closer to Ishita and looked at her from top to bottom lustily. Ishita turned her face away but the other positioned her straight so that he could come even closer. She became helpless. Her hands and legs fixed..her head couldn't move an inch sideways. She saw no way of escape.

As the man brought his face closer to Ishita, she got terribly scared. Fresh tears welled up in her eyes wondering what she would do now. She closed her eyes at once when she felt his alchoholic breath near her mouth. Tears still running down her cheeks, she remembered the lovely moments spent with Raman. It was after few seconds, she realised that instead of closer, the smell of alchohal had started going farther.

She opened her eyes. Yhe scene which she saw gave her a moment of utter relief. Raman was standing in front of her. He had grabbed the neck of that man from backwards only who tried to come close to his wife. Unknowingly, ishita smiled a bit through her tears. Raman gave a punch to that man in head making him fall to the ground.

"Oyee...kon hai tu." The other two free men neared him. "Tum sab ka baap salon..." raman spoke and hit both of them fiercly making them whince in pain. "Jyada charbi chadi hai tum logon ko...mardangi dikhayoge akeli aurut ko." He hit one of them with his leg. The two holding her loosened their grip on Ishita as they ran to save their friends. Raman fought with all four of them. Ishita managed herself and tried to call Raman but he was angry and was continuosly abusing the guys hitting one or the other. She decided to call police and opened the car to get her mobile.

Raman bit each of them badly though he himself was injured in the process. "Sorry bol...bol sorry.." he said pulling one of them's here. He cried and spoke "sorry behnaa...pls maaf krdo." Raman hit him again. He continued fight until there was siren of police vehicle. They tried to run away but he holded them and then handed them to the police. Policemen took them in the van and shooed away.

He at once ran to Ishita who was crying hard. "Ishita..are you okk?" He asked wih concern in his voice. He grabbed her shoulders and then touched her face asking her. She, in reflex, hugged him tightly and started crying louder. He felt hurt for her state and then hugged her back tightly, fitting her in his arms. He patted her back to soothe her. "Stop crying Ishita. Police has taken them. Nothing happened." He tried to calm her. She just kept crying hugging him with all her might. He let her cry her heart out while constantly pattig her back, running his hand through her hair and even kissing them. His soft words asking her to stop crying and look at him made her leave him. She moved bit backwards and looked at him. His stare was fixed at her. He wiped away the tears which ceased to stop from her eyes. "I am here for you Ishita. Everything is ok. You are fine." He said and then kissed her forehead gently.

She again hugged him. This time her head on his chest as she tried to wipe away her tears yet again. He smiled at it. She was calmer now. He let her remain in that position for whatever time she feel liked.

A taxi came and Raman stopped it. "Mayur Vihar" he spoke as he helped Ishita and then himself into the back seat. As soon as he sat, she grabbed his hand and hugged him from side removing whatever distance was there between them. He knew she was still not completely well. He encircled his one arm around her from her back bringing her closer while his other hand caught hold of hers. The drive was of 45 minutes and Ishita didnt know when her continuos sobbing and flashbacks of the incident changed into heavy breathing and light snoring. She was sleeping making Raman her pillow falling on him completely. When they arrived, Raman tried to wake her up but then a look on her face told, if she woke up she would be more disturbed. It had been hardly ten minutes that she stopped crying and went into slumber. He had no heart to disturb her. Maybe, she would feel better in the morning. Let her sleep. Raman thought and then paying the driver, picked her up in his arms. In his room, he made her lie on the bed, their bed, her rightful place.

As he made her lie down, his eyes staring her face, a flick of her hair fell on her face, blocking his view. He smiled and tucked it behind her ears. He sat there on knees looking intently at her for other half an hour. During this time, he mentally cursed himself for leaving her alone and apologised to her for not being there for her, numerous times. Seeing her relaxed, he ran his hand through her hair and then towards her cheek. He smiled at her and then left to change into night clothes.

He took out the pillow and sheet from cupboard and arranged them on the couch for himself to sleep. Before going into slumber, he went to the bed to check her for the last one time. He switched off her phone so that she could take her time to get up in the morning. He kept her hand on his forehead for last time and was about to go away when she turned in her sleep pulling him closer as his hand came under her chin now.

Ishita...He spoke slowly and tried to take out his hand from under her. But she kept it with her with full force even in sleep not letting him go. As he tried further, she felt uneasy and grabbed his hand with hers forcefully under her. A smile crept up on her face. Seeing her calm and serene, he didnt have the heart to leave her. So he decided to be there and started stroking her hair gently.

Mrs. Bhalla came to their room in the morning to see why they have not waken up today but the site in front of her was of her son and DIL sleeping while hugging each other tightly. She heaved a sigh and then decided against disturbing them.

Raman felt some disturbance near him and he snapped open his eyes to see Ishita in front off him trying to get off his hold. Her open hair, her morning fresh face and blush on her cheeks due to their proximity...were all making her all the more beautiful. He kept staring at her for long. Ishita felt her cheeks getting redder due to her husband's gaze on her. After composing herself, she tried to speak softly "Raman vo...I need to get up." She was looking anywhere but him while speaking. Raman saw her arm under him which she was struggling to take out. He was about to release her but then thought of teasing her for some time.

With an intense look in his eyes, he came closer to her covering up the distance if any that existed between them. Their bodies were hugging each other and faces inches apart. They were lost in each other's eyes. A look at them and any one could say they were the couple deeply in love. Only they knew how difficult it was to fight the battle of heart and mind. Where heart wanted to go and hug the beloved but mind warned again and again that love is not meant to in this contract marriage.

"Raman..my arm..its under you..." she tried to speak fumbling with the words uneasy at the closeness. "So..?" He said with a mischiveous glint in his eyes. She looked at him. He was smiling and staring at her. "So...leave it. Let me go." She spoke again. He just laughed at it and brought his face closer to hers with just few cms distance between their lips. "And what if I dont Mrs. Bhalla?" She heard him say. Though she was getting more and more nervous as he was approaching near her but this one remark of him brought a smile on her face. Her husband addressed her as Mrs. Bhalla. Its a beautiful feeling to be known with the name of your husband. And Raman has always called her Ishita or Ruhi's mother. But today he preffered to call her his wife.

"Raman..." she barely spoke when she felt his breath fanning her. Her gaze was never leaving hers. He just loved the way she called him Raman. Particularly now, her husky voice was due to the effect of their current positions. He smiled at the thought that he affected her. Lost in her beauty, he brought his lips even closer to hers. She knew what was on the way. She never resisted and just shut her eyes to feel it. As he placed his lips just above hers, the voice of Ruhi snapped them out of their moment. "Ishima..Papa...see I am ready for school. And you people are still sleeping." She twirled with her skirt in her hands as she said so. They looked at each other with wide shocked eyes and then stood up at once with a jerk.

Ruhi noticed their shocked faces and enquired " What happened Ishima and Papa?" They couldn't reply and just looked at each other with the blank faces. Their mini eyelock wss again broken by Ruhi as she ran out of the room voicing "Bye Ishima..Bye papa...m leaving."

"By beta...take care." Both spoke together in unison. Before he could turn to her again, Ishita stepped out of bed. "I'll get ready. You also take bath. We have to leave for court." She took her clothes and left leaving behind a blushing and smiling Raman kumar Bhalla who ran his hand through his hair.
