I am back with another one shot after reading articles about Shagun turning homeless soon.
I wanted to write something serious and intense for quite some time and i guess the time has come finally.😳 I am not a very serious type writer so i genuinely dunno how it had shaped up.
It is a bit longer than my usual works so I hope it is not boring.
Looking forward to your feedback.
And of course don't forget to raise my story's TRP by clicking LIKE i you like.😛
I received many pms asking me for other works.😳
Thank you for showing interest in my write ups.
I am really honoured. Here is my index link.

The New Turn of Events
Ishita never thought that one day, her already complicated marital life would turn even more complicated that it was already! Sitting on the edge of the bed, looking around her, Ishita sighed. Ruhi's room has now turned her...their bedroom while theirs has been given to...Shagun.
Shagun had always been omnipresent in their life and Ishita had accepted that fact. She had given Raman, his two children, the apple of his eyes. But things have turned more complicated now after Ashok had finally kicked Shagun out due to Suraj's instigation. Shagun had landed at the Bhallas with Adi in tow. Raman immediately accepted to take his child back but what about Shagun? He was in a dilemma. He could not have his ex in the house when Ishita was his legally wedded wife now. But the look...the panic and fear in Adi's eyes when he had realized that he would be separated from his mom was unbearable to Ishita. Her inner goodness had refused to let selfishness cropped inside her and she did what she had always done in life. She accepted to have the mother and son in her home till a solution was found. Later Toshi had tried to reason Ishita but her decision was taken and Ishita knew that it was a decision which she only had the nerve and gut to take.
"I just hope puttar that your greatness does not cost you too much one day".
Ishita sighed sadly thinking of her mother in law's words. Was she axing her own foot by getting Shagun in her home...near her husband? Ishita trusts Raman and knows what kind of a man he was. Yes Raman had loved that woman like crazy but Raman was a faithful husband. Ishita had no doubt about it. Nobody was pleased about her decision and even Raman was upset but he was also helpless in front of his son's depressed state. Raman's happiness means the world to her and his happiness lies in his children...in Adi's happiness and welfare. And that was the reason Ishita welcomed Shagun in her home. Having Shagun under the roof was proving very taxing. Raman had again turned very aloof and grumpy like he used to be at the beginning of their relationship. He would fight or yell at the drop of a hat and... these days misunderstandings were cropping between them way too often.
Ishita was still lost in her thoughts when he heard him.
- What is this Ishita?
Raman was staring at her irritatingly and was pointing to the couch.
- I brought it here Raman. This bed is too small. You and Ruhi can sleep on it and I will...
Ishita didn't complete her sentence, her voice died in her throat seeing Raman closing in with fury etched on his face. He roared:
- Who gave you the right to decide where I will sleep? You decided to shift our bedroom here. Now YOU will decide the sleeping arrangements also?
Ishita was speechless. He just needed excuses to fight with her these days. Ishita closed her eyes, took a deep breath and replied calmly.
- Ok Raman. YOU decide about the sleeping arrangements. I don't want to pick up a fight with you.
Raman grabbed Ishita's arm, his grip anything but gentle. He pulled her towards him.
- How Kind of you. The great Ishita Raman Bhalla, oh I forgot...that's just for namesake...Ishita Vishwanathan Iyer doesn't want to fight with me.
- Raman! What are you saying? Kuch hua hain kya...
- What? Tum naam ke biwi hi ho na?
Before a shell shocked Ishita could utter a single word, Raman tugged her even closer and sneered:
- Why so shocked? Fine! I am your husband right? Then...I demand what a husband and wife give to each other.
A flummoxed Ishita found herself being grabbed tighter and pulled closer. She looked at him with widened eyes as a gasp escaped her lips seeing how he was overreacting unnecessarily.
- Or am I not good enough to be given my due... as a husband? Or ...have you not yet moved on ...
Ishita was now angry.
Angry at the inappropriate words he was speaking! She struggled to free her arm and tried to push Raman away.
- Go to hell Raman Kumar Bhalla.
Raman clutched Ishita's wrist in his hand and seethed:
- Sure! But you will give me company there. Biwi ho tum meri! Vaisse bhi, yeh situation narq se kam hain kya? You have turned my life hellish with your nonsense, with your constant interference in things that you have no damn control on. But not anymore Ishita. I am not going to put up with your nonsense now. If you are my wife then you are going to assume the duty of a wife in every sense.
Pulling her closer, tightening his grip around her arms, he said in a dangerously calm tone:
- YOU.WILL. SLEEP.HERE. In this room, in this bed and with ME, not on the couch.
Ishita being the Jhansi ki Rani that she was refused to let herself getting intimidated by the Ravan Kumar. In a challenging tone, she lifted her chin and said defiantly:
- Try me!
This woman had it in her to set his pulse racing and his nerve on edge. Without a word, looking at Ishita right in the eyes, he glided his hands down to grasp her hips, leaned down and swung her up over his shoulder, his one hand holding down her legs to keep her from kicking.
- What...? Are you out of your mind? Put me down and NOW Raman!
A horrified Ishita shrieked. She could not believe that Raman had dared... tried her!
As soon as she had uttered these words, she found herself being dumped into the middle of the bed. As she sank in the mattress, Ishita tried desperately to get her balance. She tried to inch her way to the edge but found her shoulders being pushed, causing her to fall back again with no time to get up. Raman had pinned her under him.
His breaths were labored, her chest was heaving.
- You are such a brute.
Ishita muttered, gritting her teeth.
- But I am your husband.
Raman retorted back. Without waiting for Ishita to response, Raman angled his face and... claimed her lips. At first Ishita struggled against him but only to be gripped tighter, as Raman's fingers interlaced with hers. He deepened the kiss leaving a chilling sensation in her.
And from that moment, everything else faded away... with only this moment ...where confusion ,anger and... desire twisted inside both of them and had merged into one emotion. Finally Raman broke the kiss... completely taken aback. Looking in her startled eyes, Raman found a myriad of emotions mirroring each other. Furious with himself for losing control over himself, he stood up, turned on his heel and left, leaving Ishita with her heart beating wildly. When she tried to get up, she found her knees wobbling and dropped herself again in the bed. Her thoughts were completely jumbled. She lifted her fingers to her damp lips...
Had he just...? What was that? Ishita shivered thinking of the anger and passion that the kiss transpired.
Raman stormed out of the room, his heart beating erratically, his nerves like raw live wires. He needed to get out of the house. He badly needed to pump some fresh air into his lungs and clear his fogged mind. Raman was flabbergasted by his own behaviour. All he knew was that an inexplicable anger had seeped inside him when he saw that couch in Ruhi's bedroom... after he had heard part of Mihika and Vandu's conversation when he was passing through the corridor an hour ago.
*Flashback*
- Relax Mihika! Ishu is a sensible girl and Raman is not like this and you know that.
- I know Akka but I don't trust this woman. Akka told me that she and jeeju were not even... you know... intimate with each other and now this Shagun is here. The one with whom jeeju was once intimate with. And she is the mother of his kids on top of that while she takes my akka as a nanny.
I am livid Vandu Akka! Do you know akka and jeeju had shifted to Ruhi's room while that b*** is sleeping in their bedroom, in their bed while my akka who is giving her life to that family sleeps on a couch? How can akka compromise so much beats me up completely?
- What can we do Mihika? Our Ishu's life is just made of compromises. Even her marriage is a kind of compromise and we all know that.
- Yes but... bas! I can't see her in pain. She is hurting Vandu Akka but trying her best to hide it from all of us. Mahaan jo banna hain! And jeeju is only happy to have his son back that's it. What about my akka? She is his wife dammit. Koyi kuch karein ya na karein. I will talk to akka. She would not sleep on a couch all her life. She is coming to sleep here till that Shagun is out of the Bhalla house.
- Relax Mihika. Ishu told all of us not to interfere...
*
Raman's respect and love for Ishita had doubled when she had accepted to accommodate Shagun. Ishita knew that he was craving for his son and wanted desperately to have Adi with him. He knew she had done all that for HIM...for HIS happiness. His anger and coldness which Ishita thought was directed to her...for her decision... was in fact for himself, for being once again emotionally weak in front of his son. Once again he had been unfair to Ishita and it was killing him inside.
And Mihika's words ...
Raman's throat constricted thinking of Mikiha's words. She was right all the way but Ishita sleeping at the Iyers? No way! And this is why when Ishita talked about the couch, his anger just stretched to its limit. More that anger, fear had gripped him. Fear to lose her one day because of his complicated past. Of course she was not the type of woman who accepts defeat so easily. She would fight tooth and nail for her family. He had not baptized her Jhansi ki rani for nothing!
But... she was after all human, made of flesh and bones...and more importantly with a heart to feel. How much would her gentle and loving heart bear? And for how long?
Raman was not sure that he would be able to cope without her. She was his strength, his support system. Raman was now used to have her in his room... beside him even if it meant having Ruhi in the middle. He needed her more than she needed him, Raman finally admitted to himself. He needed her calmness and positive aura around, her gentleness and love filled heart, that bright smile and teasing chuckles while engaged in their never ending leg pulling...
How had he survived before without her? How had he gotten through the long, lonely nights when he had tossed and turned, completely drunk, sometimes crying on his pillow feeling like a loser, sometimes his stomach churning because he knew that in a few short hours he would begin another automatic day? How come he no longer wanted to be without her?
His heart knew the answer even though his mind was trying to overpower him.
Love...
Yes he was in love. He knew for quite some time back that theirs was a special bond based on trust and respect...based on love, a love which though unexpressed, was strong enough for them to understand each other and how they were feeling. With time he had started feeling attracted towards her. His body had been reacting to her proximity. She was a beautiful woman - both from the inside and from the outside!
His thought went to the kiss. It had left him thirsty for more... like a scorched field drinking in rain...She was as affected as him. He had felt her shiver with desire when he was holding her and his lips were claiming hers. She had not pushed him away. Instead she had been clinging on his front shirt the moment his lips had sought hers. They had both felt that sudden burst of desire - a mutual desire.
Raman stood up. He was now ready for their relationship to go to another level. Time has come to toss not the chapter but the whole book of his once upon a time love story with Shagun at sea and start afresh a new beginning with Ishita, his wife. Was she ready?
With a new determination, Raman rushed inside, marched towards Ruhi's bedroom and stepped in only to stop briskly.
Ishita was waiting for him...
