CVs, I'm not sure what you are trying to show here.
A woman's independence doesn't just mean that she goes out to work
I think apart from Ishita's financial independence every other aspect shows her as being very subservient to Raman.
It was OK in the beginning but after Ishita has showered the bipolar Bhallas time and again with goodness and genuine concern and care, Raman makes statements like "tumhari voice kano meih chubta hai"
And doesn't Raman owe her an explanation about Mihir's actual relation to him - If he is Shagun's brother or whatever crap ...Raman still doesn't think of Ishita as worthy enough to share the truth???
She let go her mother's almost fatal hit and run cultprit just because he was RAman's son ..She has given him so much confidence and support ..and he still doesn't believe her to share the truth?
At least he can tell her and tell her to keep it to herself ..Obviously if he trusts Mihir so much and Ishita also knows Mihir well enough now, it would matter if he's Shagun's brother or whatever nonsense! ..
She herself has accepted Shagun's daughter as hers ..why wont she be OK with her sister accepting Shagun's brother!!! ..
What bull shit are they showing ..
Ramans abusive language needs to STOP ...he can make one liners but they need to be hilarious and in a jovial situation ..You cant talk nonsense when you owe someone the truth!
And they show Ishita ignoring all this and again thinking about his family ..the useless simmi and adi ...if at all Ruhi wants a rakhi tying experience ..how bout tying Shravan a rakhi??? he's her bro too ..
I don't think Ishita respects herself ..After the way her husband talks to her she needs to put him in the right place...all his giving up presidency bakwas means nothing considering the way he badmouths her ...
even if they dont' want to advance their relationship to a romantic love level ..they should start being cordial ..no friends talk to each other like that ...let alone husbands ..and no woman I know will and should tolerate this bull shit talk..
it is nothing short of verbal abuse ..

Look, I am honestly getting fed up of people complaining about Raman's taunts. At the end of the day guys it's just a TV show. You know, a TV show to entertain their viewers at 11pm after a long day. It's not a reality. If you have really understood Raman's character, you would noticed there is love and anxiety behind his words which he can't express or show to his wife after being wounded by the airhead. Ishita know that!

Great post!
But pl be careful, ppl are gonna get defensive here , the freedom of expression is getting highly questione in this forum these days!

They forget we have every right to critisice the show which we appreciate wen it shows some great story line as well!

woah patience dear Patience 😊

I know what Raman is doing is wrong by hiding things n I also know that Ishita shud not take all the insults form him all the time which she doesn't... she does gives it back to him as seen in past.

but thats how her character is if both start fighting there will be chaos n nothing else so she is taking the matured way of ignoring his snide remarks. As they say eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind. So if Ishita also concentrates on only his remarks then she will not be able to work around the actual problems both will be just fighting fighting nothing else.

Having said that Raman shud share things with Ishita especially after knowing her. He shud share what he knows about Mihirs past. Lets see what happens in future.

yea ..it's a new level of abuse here ... I actually part time volunteer in a social help group in the US ..were we encounter many indian women who get married and come to the US ..only to be pressurized by their husbands to stay and home ...we see this kind of repeated verbal and emotional abuse ...men are aware that physical abuse will land them in prison and many of them stick to verbal and emotional abuse ..no one realizes that it does more harm than actual physical wounds..
constantly berating someone or commenting negatively on some aspect or the other makes them lose self confidence and faith in themselves...we see women succumbing to such pressures ...and it takes a lot of counselling to get them out of their slump ..
however the show doesn't show Ishita feeling "anything" at all when Raman speaks the way he does to her ...it's very strange that one doesn't get offended and hurt ...
just by showing her going out and fixing teeth doesn't make her an independent woman ..they need to show her giving it back to raman when he speaks rubbish and giving it back so hard that he thinks twice before he blabbers nonsense

Really ..didn't he regret not sharing Adi's truth with Ishita earlier during the accident track? and he doesn't learn from mistakes ...he again repeats the same by hiding Mihir's truth? common ...if Ishu can accept shagun's daughter ...why won't she be OK with Shagun's brother marrying mihika? ..she knows Mihir to be as good hearted as she knows ruhi to be! ..

accepting verbal abuse is wrong. No one has a right to speak nonsense about you ..He always comments on some aspect or the other ..I understand some places are in jest ..but sometimes when is harsh one liners come at a point where the situation demands a serious conversation ..it's just irriating ..I feel i'm watching an abusive husband as a lead male in a soap ..horrible!

@Bold

Exactly dear Raman is a grey character sometimes good sometimes bad. Cvs have conceptualized this character this way.
