You aptly portrayed Raman Bhalla's feelings in this work. The man that he was earlier, would have been excited for his first husband-wife ritual with his newly wedded wife, would have made sure that he did everything possible for her while she gave him the greatest gift which was her love for him. Unfortunately Shagun did not fulfill any of his expectations. Yet the besotted husband in him did what he could for his wife -- feed her for her happiness. So what if he was disappointed a bit.

And today the man changed so much, no longer thinks sentimentally and believes that its all right if Ishita does not keep up to the rituals too. He was fine with it and offered her the same thing. Eat and pretend. But her refusal shows him the difference between these two women... yet again. Peace at last coz he knows that he has a life partner who cares for him equally and that he is not longer is a relationship where only one of them cares.

You know Bhanu this reminds me of the tea making scene at the beginning of their marriage ( I love that scene for so many reasons) where he gets a FB of Shagun's behaviour when he was hurt, to Ishita caring for him even though she did not need to (at that point of time).

PS - I can't wait for the scene in the show where she tells him the fast matters to her and she is not going to cheat on it by eating. I honestly hope they show a good scene coz have a lot of expectations on this.

PPS -- "A thousand Years" is my favorite song ... in my favorite playlist 😃

I instantly connected with you writing. I could imagine Raman and Ishita saying those lines actually. Perfect dialogues and even Raman's expressions which I got from your words ofcourse. Really true to character each of them. Some of the words in the precap yesterday were similar to your OS!! And the fact that Ishita looked upset when Raman said "nhi jeena hai itna. kyu vrat rakh rhi ho" was also shown in the epi.

Till date this would be my fav OS on IshRa. 😊
